Follwing the previous year trends and as per the updates mentioned on the IISER 2024 official website, IISER do not release IAT 2024 cut off marks. However, the exam officials based on the counselling registration done for admissions by the candidates, the exam officials releases the round wise IISER 2024 closing rank list.
IAT 2024 cut marks are generally the minimum marks which the IISER 2024 exam test takers need to score in order to get admissions in the programmes offered by the participating institutes.
IISER 2024 Admission Process
Candidates who wish to take admissions in the IISER institutions, need to appear for the IAT exam/ IISER aptitude test. The IAT exam for the academic session 2024-2025 was successfully conducted on June 9, 2024 at various exam centres across the nation. Candidates who had appeared in the examination, to secure their seat in the IISERs needed to appear in the IISER 2024 counselling process. Based on the marks scored by the candidates, AIR achieved by them and the number of registrations made for the IISER 2024 online counselling registration process, the exam officials released the IISER entrance exam 2024 First round of counselling/admission list on July 18, 2024, for the candidates taking admissions to the BS-MS dual degree and BS degree programme.

Q: Does IISER Kolkata offer better placements than Presidency University, Kolkata?
The median package offered was INR 6 LPA during placements 2021. However, the median package of INR 7 LPA was offered in 2021. The stats we got from this year's campus placements at IISER-B are highly varied. For instance, the highest package offered was around 10.5 - 11 LPA, whereas the lowest was around 5.5 - 6 LPA.
On the other hand Presidency University is a good college for physics Hons with great faculty members and good infrastructure. Placements: Physics is not a technical course, so there is no such placement in this course. However, it is the best course to go for higher studies. Students can get a chance to do their PhD from abroad. So placements in Presidency University is good as IISER on their equal terms.
IISER Pune is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and since its inception, the institute has published 2,000 research papers. Established in 2006 by the Government of India, IISER Kolkata is functioning from its main campus located in Mohanpur, Nadia.
