IISER Mohali 2024 glimpses.

Placements: Placements are very low and often low package if available. Usually data science minors may opt for placements. Most people opt for PhDs after BS-MS. Since it is not a professional course, there's flexibility in choosing careers. Some may even go for corporate jobs or government jobs unrelated to their topic.

A good all rounder institute, and one of the best places to pursue research in India.

Placements: IISER Mohali doesn't have placements like typical engineering colleges. It is a research institute, and hence students opt to pursue higher education instead, I. e. PhDs. There are no packages offered but students wishing to work in the industry find jobs in R&D departments of companies. Many students wish to work as professors and go into education. You have the option to take a BS exist as well, without completing the whole BSMS course. Internships are provided to pursue research within the co...

College is your type if you are an aspiring scientist.

Placements: The placement environment here is not yet developed, though there is an opportunity cell that handles all this, which is also quite new. Moreover, most students after graduation from here pursue Ph.D. and postdoctoral studies, and for these, IISER Mohali provides good exposure and ample opportunities.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and really an incredible experience to have in life once.

Placements: Most people probably wanted to do their respective doctoral work in foreign countries but did not get placed. The highest package was 10 lacs and the lowest was 6 lacs. Most of the companies were looking for research associates. You can get an internship anywhere around the world.

The college had good placements in 2020, even during the pandemic.

Placements: In my course, there are 90-100 students. Packages offered after BSMS integrated course are not high, but the average package is 6-7 Lacs per annum. R&D companies recruit from here, like Loreal. 50-60% of students got internships, but they don't generally opt for it, and they rather go for PhD and higher studies to have a better chance in placements.

An awesome college with flexible curriculum.

Placements: Dr. Reddy's Lab has started coming here from 2019 for on-campus placements for chemical science students with a package of around 5.5 LPA. This year, Khan Academy has also made an offer. Most of the students don't take jobs as they pursue PhDs abroad in either Europe or the USA. Other students who don't want to pursue PhD get placed on-campus or off-campus placements like faculty in reputed coaching institutes like Llen, Fiitjee etc.

It is a dream college for research-minded students.

Placements: As IISER Mohali is a research institute, students generally don't join to get salary packages or jobs. They come to gain knowledge and do research. Almost 80% of the students get a PhD in world's reputed institutes like MIT, Stanford University, Howard University, etc. In our senior batch, 136 students out of 174 students got a PhD abroad. Remaining students are doing their PhD in top institutes of India like IISC Bangalore, TIRF, IITs, CSIR, etc.

The college is excellent and value for money.

Placements: Very less percentage of students want to go for a job, and others go for a PhD. The salary package offered is 17 to 2.4 crores per annum. Lake and Amazon are the top recruiters. More than 80% of the students get internships every year here or in various parts of the world. The course is intense in basic science and provides an ample amount of knowledge with research experience.

Best College for Research and the worst if you are here by mistake.

Placements: Talking about placement, there are no such cells for this. People find it on their own, and they go for Higher Studies like PhD and Post Doc etc. If we talk about the internship, there are a lot of opportunities for students here, from Microsoft to Mercedes Benz, you can apply anywhere.

It is a great college with excellent professors and students.

Placements: Our batch hasn't passed out yet, so placements and salary are not offered here. Students opt for PhDs, and you can get scholarships as JRF. Probably application based industries are the top recruiters for our course. Roles are not offered here and also salary packages. However, almost every student gets an internship every year.

Premier Institute of Research in India.

Placements: The college, being a research institution, doesn't offer placement options. Most of the students pursue a Ph.D. after the BS-MS degree, in esteemed institutions in India and abroad. For internships, we apply for various Summer Research programmes or through personal mails to scientific investigators of interest.

Placements: There is no placement cell in IISERM and some IISERs have the placement cell. The reason being that some IISERs has a placement cell because the have nearby Industries. So, the students can have internships in the industries such as IISER Pune, Kolkata, and Bhopal. In this context, neither IISERM has not many industries nearby its locality, Thus, it focuses mainly on nurturing the students in making them future scientific leaders. Placements: The college provides good opportunities for the students to pursue PhD abroad. Since this is an institute of science, you cannot expect campus placements. But, the college helps you if you want to pursue PhD abroad or India, and I can surely say that the college is a very good choice for you to join.

Placements: Till the last year, we weren't getting any placements, but our new director seems to have an enthusiastic attitude towards placements. We have a placement cell now in IISER, Mohali. They are currently developing this cell and doing their best to provide placements to students.
