The college is great for top branches and not worthy for other branches.

Placements: Placements are always the best for the top 4 branches, i.e., computers, electronics, electrical and mechanical. Placements for the remaining branches are not good. Students of our branch had few opportunities to get placed in the core companies. Only the handful of companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel and Tata Motors visited our campus to offer core jobs. Only 15-20 students got placed in those companies. Remaining all the students try their luck in non-core companies which provide plenty of oppor...

Review of IIT Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi.

Placements: Only 50% of the total strength could get placed until the end of March. Most of them were from non-core companies. Rest got placed by attempting GATE 2014 and got jobs in PSUs. The highest salary package offered in the core sector was 8 LPA. The highest salary package offered in the non-core sector was 16 LPA.
