Great industry connections and placements, but curriculum needs to be updated.
Placements: Placement rates may vary by college and course. Generally, top colleges have placement rates ranging from 80% to 100%. The placement percentage depends on the course and industry demand. The highest salary package varies significantly depending on the course and the reputation of the college. For instance, in top-tier engineering or management courses, the highest salary packages range from 25 LPA to 1 crore or more.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for the course/department. Most modern institutions provide high-speed Wi-Fi across the campus, including academic blocks, libraries, and hostels. Wi-Fi access is typically available to all students, sometimes with separate access points for specific areas. Labs for engineering/science courses have dedicated laboratories for practical sessions. They are well-equipped with the necessary tools and software for various experiments (e.g., computer labs, electronics labs, mechanical workshops).
Faculty: In most reputable institutions, teachers are generally approachable and willing to help students with academic queries. Many colleges have office hours during which professors are available for one-on-one sessions, clarifications, or guidance. Teachers may also provide additional learning resources, organize review sessions, and offer mentoring support.
Other: The best aspects of a course and campus depend on individual preference. Many students find that a combination of academic rigor, campus culture, extracurricular activities, and industry readiness prepares them well for their future careers. Institutions that foster a holistic development approach tend to attract students who are not only focused on academics but also on personal growth and community involvement.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2028

My opinion about my college perfectly describes the college's infrastructure.
Placements: Around 60% of students get placed every year. The highest salary package offered off-campus is 1.2 CPA. The highest salary package offered on-campus is 49 LPA. The highest salary package is offered in computer science and the lowest salary package is offered in civil engineering. IOCL Mathura is the top recruiting company but apart from this, students got placed in TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Most of the students got internships at the end of the second year mostly in IOCL Mathura and POCL. One of my seniors got placed recently at IOCL as a manufacturing process manager.
Infrastructure: At IET, chemical engineering is the best department. The chemical department provides all the necessary needs to students. It also has an incubation center. Labs are very good. All the equipment is available with proper working. A central library is also available for all students. Ramanujan Hostel is just like home food and care. Paratha of the canteen reminds me I am at home. A big indoor ground is available in the hostel for badminton, basketball, and volleyball. There is a medical sector with proper working staff.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in all ways. Everyone is a Ph.D. holder. They have enough knowledge of their subjects. The way they teach is fantastic. It is easy to remember all things. At first, all subjects were taught to us similarly to 12th at a broad level. From the second year, all things are sick to branch only. Semester exams are moderate because it is an autonomous college so the paper pattern is set by teachers that teach us. Around 40% of marks are obtained by a student to pass a semester exam in each subject out of total marks.
Other: Basically, I want to join aerospace engineering but in JEE, I didn't get as much percentile but I am happy to be in chemical because it is broad. The most interesting thing is that being a chemical engineer, I can go in tech and slot a seat to tech engineering but they can't do that. I think we have to change the number of theory classes. The college organise two college fests named Core and Sauryotsav. Shauryaotsav is a sports fest and Core is a technical and cultural fest.

Sounds like IT has a good location.
Placements: Placements vary according to the brand; otherwise, placements are okay. Core companies do not have good placements. CS and IT companies have good placements. In semester 3, you can get internship and job opportunities as many companies visit our campus. You cannot expect high packages. The average package offered is 4 LPA. They provide 90% placement.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive for all students, effectively explaining industry standards and embracing trends, covering essential theoretical foundations while interacting with particular applications. In college, my experience is good at that time, and my involvement in the club is not too good, but I participate in the cricket club.
Faculty: The electrical faculty is very bad; the rest are also not so good. Faculty members and teachers are not so cooperative as they only come to complete the syllabus. But some teachers are very good and have deep knowledge in their field. This college is affiliated with AKTU and offers many courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and MBA.

Good College but Not the Best. Go for NITs and IIITs, and aim for IIT.
Placements: Approximately 60-70% of students are placed, depending upon the branch. The highest on-campus placement: 50 Lacs. Average on-campus placement: 7-8 Lacs. The lowest on-campus placement: 3-4 Lacs. Top recruiting companies: Tata, TCS, IBM, Xceedence, Wayspire, Solar, Humming Weave, etc. Approximately 79-80% of students got internships from companies like Tata, Google, Solar, etc.
Infrastructure: All the Wi-Fi connections, either on the campus or in the hostel, are in good and working condition. There are 4 main labs for CS department students. The classrooms are okay, and the library contains several sacks of books. Mess food is decent, but you will not get evening snacks or Saturday night food from the 2nd year. Workers are friendly in nature.
Faculty: Although the faculty members at IET Lucknow are generally well-qualified, students will be depending on notes and YouTube lectures. Courses are relevant. Semester exams are not too difficult. If anyone starts studying one week before the semester, then he/she will score decent marks.
Other: Focused on Branch fest. Several clubs are there, for example, Swaranjali for music, Mirage for photography, PARMARTH: the social club of IET Lucknow, FRACTAL: Coding club of IET Lucknow, etc. An improvement that every IET student wants is the complete information about the sports complex.

The placement opportunities are disappointing, with limited companies visiting.
Placements: "Approximately 70% to 80% of students are placed. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, IBM, Infosys, Google (for internships). The highest package off-campus is 49 LPA, and on-campus is around 16 to 22 LPA. The lowest package is 2.9 LPA. There are some students who have been doing competitive programming since their first semester and have been selected by some product-based companies like Google. There is also a coding club named 'Fractal Coding Club,' in which seniors are the mentors who teach programming to their juniors and prepare them for placements."
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course and hostel leaves much to be desired, with several aspects requiring significant improvement. Starting with the library, the policy of not allowing laptops severely hinders conducting research or completing assignments efficiently. This outdated rule hampers productivity and fails to meet the needs of a technology-driven academic environment. The limited study space further diminishes the library's utility. The hostel facilities are equally disappointing. Cleanliness is a major issue, with rooms and common areas often left in an unhygienic condition. The bathrooms are poorly maintained.
Faculty: Some faculty, like in the Electrical department, are not helpful, but the CSE department faculty is very helpful. Each semester includes three exams: Class Test 1, Class Test 2, and the End Semester exam, evaluating students' performance comprehensively throughout the term. 30 marks are evaluated from the average of CT1, CT2, attendance, and assignments, while the End Semester is 70 marks. The End Semester exam is very easy, and it is possible to score a 9-pointer in the semester. To pass, you should get 40 marks out of 100 in each subject.
Other: AKTU's biggest fest, ENCORE, is celebrated with immense enthusiasm and energy. It showcases vibrant performances, competitions, and talent across music, dance, art, and drama. Drawing students from numerous colleges, ENCORE creates a lively and inclusive atmosphere, making it a highlight of campus life and a platform for creativity and cultural exchange.

Decent college, but not so good crowd and no coding culture.
Placements: Placements are decent, but you have to work hard and focus on academics as well as other skills to get one. The placement in electrical engineering is around 60% and the average package is 8.80 lakh. Top recruiters are Adobe, Anglo Eastern, Bharat Electronics Limited, and GlobalLogic.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not updated. It looks like a college that has never been renovated for a long time. College infrastructure is still okay but the condition of the hostel, especially the boys hostel, is not good. It's a huge task to live in the hostel but the mess food is good but there is only one small canteen in the college.
Faculty: The college faculty is good. The professors are very well qualified and will teach you passionately about the subjects they are teaching. The curriculum is also making the students industry-ready but not fully unless you put some efforts from your side. The semester exams are kind of difficult but if you study then do not need to worry.
