• AKTU takes an entrance exam viz. UPSEE for entry in the B.Tech courses.
• AKTU also approves 20% of aspirants based on JEE Main score as per the State Government criteria.

Eligibility norm -

 Candidates should have finished their 12th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 45% marks or more ( 40% score or more SC/ST) from an identified board.

A JEE Mains score of 260 is considered good for admission to B.Tech in CSE at the Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU, as it gives a percentile of around 99.2–99.6. This percentile puts candidates in the top for CSE in NITs. Candidates with a rank range of 241–360 have a higher chance of admission to top NITs. 

 

IET Lucknow cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BTech specialisations ranged between 36086 and 94805. IET Lucknow admission to BTech is based on JEE Main ranks followed by UPTAC Counselling. The most competitive specialisation has been B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) with a closing rank of 36086, followed by B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with a 51075 rank for the General category students. The total tuition fee for IET Lucknow B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is INR 3.40 Lacs (may vary) Apart from the tuition fee, there is a one-time admission fee of amount INR 5,000 (may vary) and a hostel fee of amount INR 58,000 (may vary) that students are required to pay in addition to the tuition fee.

 Both the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) programs at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) you can preffer . However, some say that the 2024 batch at IET is not getting good placements. As of March 2024, the highest package for the CSE branch is 12 LPA and the lowest is 1.8 LPA. In 2022, the average package offered to IET Lucknow students was Rs 8.80 Lacs per annum. About 65% of students are placed at AKTU, with the highest package being 19 LPA and the lowest being 3.5 LPA. Overall, while there may be some room for improvement, IET Lucknow seems to offer a good MCA programme with decent placements, infrastructure, and faculty support. However, it's essential to weigh these factors against personal preferences and priorities when deciding whether to pursue the course.

IET Lucknow cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to its MBA courses. The institute accepts CUET-PG entrance exam scores for admission. Eligible candidates are then called for a counselling process based on entrance scores. During the IET Lucknow CUET-PG cutoff 2024, the percentile is 815 for the General quota. However, in 2023, the percentile was 1517 for the General –all-India category.

Institute of Engineering and technology is best for engineering as it is ranked as the top engineering colleges among technical institutions. As it offers faculty members with numerous skills and excellent knowledge with a friendly and helping attitude, and this college offers good Infrastructure with placements above 6-8 LPA average salary for students during there campus placements. The highest package offered is 55LPA for the same too.

According to Times of India it is reported that total number of 70,000 seats were allocated for the B.Tech students at the Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU. 

However only 30,000 candidates have registered and the rest 40,000 remain vacant after several poorly-resourced engineering colleges shut, culling thousands of seats.

In 2021-22, AKTU had 1.34 Lacs BTech seats,   according to the Times of India 44,384 seats remained vacant.
