IET Lucknow Life and Experience.
Placements: For placements, don’t expect much from the college. CSE students get an average package of 8-9 LPA, but placements are very poor for other branches. Core branch students focus on cracking GATE exams, with many securing single-digit or double-digit ranks each year. Top companies like Google, Facebook, and Amazon do not visit the campus, but students have found jobs based on their hard work. While most students get placed, the package for core branches is around 3-4 LPA. I plan to take the GATE exam and secure a job at a top PSU.
Infrastructure: The college is one of the oldest in UP, with a large and good alumni network, which provides many connections in notable places. The fees are also not very high. Placements are decent if you are in ECE or above; you will get placed with good off-campus opportunities.
Faculty: Since I have always been interested in nature, environment, and chemicals, I chose chemical engineering. The professors are very well qualified, with most having M.Tech degrees from top IITs. However, their teaching level is just average, like other government college professors. Some professors also nag a lot about attendance. There are two semesters each year, each containing five theory subjects and five practicals. Due to late AKTU counseling, the semester is compressed into 3-4 months. As IET is an autonomous institute of AKTU, exam papers are checked by college professors, which is an advantage. The fee for day scholars is 84,775, and for hostellers, it is around 1 Lac plus additional mess charges. Various scholarships are available, including UP government scholarships and Pragati scholarships specifically for girls.

We are developing under the guidance of IET and AKTU.
Placements: About 70% students are placed on campus with an average salary of 5 to 6 lakh per annum. Top recruiting companies are HCL, ACL, etc. Many students prepare for GATE examination to get a better chance for placements and higher studies.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite good. Some of the facilities are still developing such as sports complex, canteens, new hostels and new departments. Gardens and ground area are quite less but their management is good. Food in the hostel is far better than other hostels available nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and highly qualified with good level of experience in teaching field. The difficulty level of exams is quite good. Faculty generally supports us but sometimes, they were non-supportive. Lack of willingness to teach was seen quite often.
Other: Research field is a good option in this field.

College life at IET and it's place information.
Placements: In the chemical branch, placements are not that good. Some companies visit for placement drives but offer an average package of 5 lacs. But if you're in a car, you will get a good placement. Most of the students from my branch prepare for higher studies.
Infrastructure: The government hostel provides basic amenities such as free Wi-Fi and decent mess food. The classrooms and library are conducive for studying, while the sports complex is currently being built. Additionally, the college has its own dispensary with a physician on-site for medical assistance.
Faculty: The curriculum is not overly challenging, allowing students to easily balance their academic and extracurricular activities. The faculty members are dedicated to delivering lectures and respect personal boundaries unless approached. The semester exams are manageable, requiring a minimum score of 40 out of 100 to pass.

Review of Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University.
Placements: 50% of students got placed in chemical engineering. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA, the average package is 5 LPA, and the highest package is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Hindustan Petroleum etc. Students get a chance to do an internship in the 6th semester, and a few companies also visit here to offer internships. One can get good marks in this college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs for respective courses, and a library are available. The food is average, and the mess is clean. A night canteen is also available. A playground is available for cricket and football. There are courts for badminton, basket and table tennis.
Faculty: The faculty are good, and the curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are not so tough. We can score well if we study diligently. More than 95% of students pass the semester exams. Evaluation is done in our college only, and it is lenient. The faculty are helpful and experienced.
Other: The college is value for money, and campus life is average.

Know about the reality of IET Lucknow.
Placements: The placement of this college is 49 LPA on-campus, and the highest placement is 1.2 crores off-campus. The average placement ratio is 60%, which is good but not good at all. The median package is 8 LPA for the CS branch, and 5.6 is the average of this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not good at all, but the classes are good. There will be only fans and a normal board; there is no smart board. The hostel is good but not bad; it is medium. You will like some things and dislike others. Overall, the infrastructure is average.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is not good at all, but some teachers are good. They are very supportive and have a helping nature. The exam pattern is normal, just like school exams. This college conducts its own exams because it is an autonomous college. It only comes under AKTU.
Other: The campus is good overall. You would like the sports complex, which is under construction. There will be a cricket ground, football ground, and all indoor games available here.
