Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Can I get direct admission to JDBIMS?

A:

JDBIMS follows a multi-step admission process that students must follow to gain entry into the college. The process begins with the application, followed by a course-specific entrance exam and other selection rounds. Once the selection rounds are completed, the college releases merit lists on its official website. Interested candidates can then submit the fee and confirm their admission. Before filling out the admission form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria on the official website of JDBIMS.

Application Round: The application process is offline. Candidates must visit the official website to download the application form.

Selection Round: The selection is based on the MAH CET and Common Entrance Test (CET). Candidates are usually required to take the test and participate in the centralised admission process of the DTE of the State of Maharashtra. Candidates who meet the cutoff requirements are then invited to participate in the institute's selection process, which often includes group discussions (GD) and personal interviews (PI), academic accomplishments, and job experience.

Admission Confirmation: After the selection rounds, candidates who are shortlisted and have their names on the merit lists can submit the fee and confirm their admission to the relevant course at JDBIMS.

They have a holistic assessment at the institute level. Entry scores, past academic experience, and sometimes work experiences or personal interview scores for final admissions. The college has the best faculty members.
Placements: I have no idea about the placement status of our college. As I heard from my seniors' placements are not so good, but the summer internship is given from college, and if you also have winter internship as mandatory, then that will be given from college.
Infrastructure: The college is small and has one storey as there are only classes taking place in a day, i.e., 1st-year batch and 2nd-year batch. Few facilities are provided, and some are the worst in the college like Wi-Fi don't work many times, and even some of the computers are also not working.
Faculty: Both the core faculty and the external faculty members are the best. The best faculty members are available for finance specialisation with a lot of lectures scheduled in a week, and even on weekends. The course is also very well developed.

The facility and faculty of the college are good, but there are some issues regarding placements.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. Almost 60-70% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Last year one of the students get placed on Amazon. The roles offered for students are marketing executive, market research and sales. Everyone from our batch got an internship through college only.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but not advance as the university is old itself. Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms and library are available. The hostel is also available on the university campus only. Facilities at the hostel are good, and there are different rooms and mess in the same building, the food quality is good with a variety of dishes.
Faculty: Faculty at this college is really good you can compare it with the other top colleges. Teachers are very helpful to students for every problem. There is quality teaching, as the faculty is well educated. The syllabus is good for every specialisation.

I am dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Please don't opt this college as they don't provide placement opportunities. They are not even comfortable with the students searching for the job from their 3rd semester. They don't even have a placement officer. Don't waste your 2 years in this college. Most of my friends from this college are unplaced. So go for the better options if you have. No one gets internships from college; none of the faculty members or the director is concerned about it.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility in our college is not working properly. They have only a single computer lab in which maximum computers don't work. Toilets are in very bad condition. They don't maintain hygiene. There are no air-conditioners in the classroom. They don't have a library as such; they have one passage in which they keep books. Non-teaching staff members are horrible, and they don't leave a chance to irritate you. It was the worst experience of my life. The hostel which they provide is horrible. We stayed almost 5 girls in one room with only two fans, and they have common toilets for the whole floor. The food served in the mess was average. The warden is horrible, and there are useless restrictions in the hostel. In the rainy season, water gets inside the hostel and the situation gets worse.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good, but they always wanted students to attend lecture rather than spending their time on placements. The only thing which is good of the college is their faculty. The quality of teaching is very nice but it is not much useful. The visiting faculty members are from prestigious colleges and corporates. They think that they are doing charity which is very embarrassing for us. The strength is very low, and there are not more than 50 girls studying here. Industry exposure is a myth for this college. The course curriculum is very useful and knowledgeable. But we are unplaced which is the most the biggest problem.

I am satisfied because of its great faculty members.
Placements: Placements do visit but not much as expected, and students had to do their own and internships also. No support from the institute. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. Aditya Birla visits for placements for marketing. So don't be dependent on college for placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, laboratories, classrooms, library, and sports were available in this college. Hostel was not recommended and no air-conditioner facility was provided. It was an old institute so, the infrastructure was also old. It was a government college. The campus was big, and not clean and tidy.
Faculty: Teachers were the best part of this institute. They were reputed internal and external staff. They help students in every aspect, and give their best knowledge. They teach students at their best, and give good practical knowledge. Through their interesting presentations, they teach students which doesn't feel boring.
Other: There were extracurricular activities in this college.
