Placements: In the previous year, the placements are not good. Only 10% of the students were placed in trade companies, and for our batch also, it is the same. About 20% of the students were placed in trade companies like Simplex, Pinnacle, Vastu Vihar. Many other BPO companies also come for offering the jobs to the students.
Placements: Placement is the worst part of this college. The college gave very less placement of our batch. From our department of 120 people maybe only 25 to 30 students approximately got placed from the college. The highest salary offered 3.2lpa and the lowest offered was 1.80lpa. Companies like ITC infotech, Capgemini, just dial, tech mahindra (didn't give offer letter to the selected student till now), Erricson and other small companies which were giving sales job.
Placements: Placement is average in this college. Only 3-4 core companies visit by the way mechanical engineering students are allowed to sit in software companies drives like TCS, I GATE xenser etc. which visit college. Placement cell is cooperative. The highest package is nearly 4.0 Lacs. In mechanical section placement ratio is below average but college provides free lectures for GATE and Psu.
Placements: Placement was good for computer Science department. There was no placement for core branches. No core company came for placement.40% student were placed. The highest salary was 4.4 Lacs p. a. Tcs, tech mahindra, capegemini came for placement. There is a placement cell in our college.
Placements: I think the placement is not good, but increasing year by year. Many companies are coming compared to the previous year. There is no big company like TCS that comes to the college. The college should bring back TCS to the college and provide placements.
Placements: There are very bad placements. The college only focuses on getting students. They don't care about the student's toes who have taken admission. They just want a student who can give them money, but they don't think to provide the job for the student. If you are taking admission in this college, I will strongly recommend not to.
Placements: Just for CSE department, if you are in a core department, then you'll get a lot of companies for placements, but for those who were thinking about joining core department like ME, CE, EE you'll most probably just get a degree from this college. I have seen my share of placements in my four years of B.Tech degree in this college. And I have learnt just one thing about the placements that, core department is a myth, except if you are from some college who spends some amount of money for calling co...
Placements: Our college's placements are very good for ours and the seniors batch. 80% of the students were placed in the last year. The highest average salary offered was Rs. 70,000 per month which was offered by the companies. Amazon, Dell, etc., are the companies that visited the campus. The college's dress code is average. The college offered all the facilities to the students.
Placements: The placement of my batch and our senior bath were really poor. Approximately 10-15% students were placed in the campus recruitment. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 PM and the maximum salary was Rs. 30,000 PM. The average salary was approximately Rs. 20,000 PM. Some companies visited like TCS, CTS, IBM, ITC Infotech, Tech Mahindra, etc. Maximum companies offered roles in software except for some companies, which offered roles in core sector like Ericsson. A very few percent, nearly abou...
Placements: Honestly, while talking about placements, don't expect any reputed companies to visit the college. Placements of my batch were very poor, expect no placements in core branches like mechanical and civil engineering. Only a few reputed companies like UTC, TECH MAHINDRA visited. TCS visited at the last, but the poor side is that these companies only selected only 4 or 5 students each. As the students in our college are not trained for cracking these companies campus exams like the other reputed in...
Placements: For our previous batch, the placement percentage was 90%. Most of them got selected in reputed companies such as TCS, Wipro, etc. The average package was 4 lacs per annum and the highest was 7 lacs per annum. Our internship program was unpaid. Most of them are good companies such as Bandel Thermal Power. The college should focus more on campus placement arrangement.
Placements: The placement opportunity is not quite good in this college. Maximum 10 companies come and place hardly 50 students in a year from core branches and hardly 200 students among 1000 from all the branches. Very few companies arrive at the college campus. Most of the companies arrive on the main campus of JIS group where all the students have to reach and they place very few students. So, it's very difficult to get placed in a company. The salary depends on the company. sometimes it is 8000/month a...
Overall not bad. The placement process was not that efficient but people with proper skills can relax a bit. However, the reading rooms us a wonderful place to spend time. Quite peaceful. Also there is a temple in the campus which is another peaceful feature of campus. There is almost no ragging on campus.
Classes are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies and presentations. An equal weightage of 50% is given to both internal and external exams. Tests are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Although surprise tests are not very common but students try and stay as up-to-date as possible in subjects such as Finance and Economics where you won't know when your knowledge is put to test. Students are not given any ...
This college is not up to the mark in quality of teaching. Lab instructors do not teach well. Classes are not conducted as per schedule. Placement is pathetic and no good companies visit the college. Majority of the placements happen in pool campus in some other college, where preference is given to their college students. Pre-placement preparation is also unsatisfactory. Only Computer Science students get preference, while students of other branches suffer due to ineffective management.
Someone visiting the college for the first time will be mesmerized by the infrastructure of the college. The college boasts of high speed broadband facility, a big ground, and separate hostels for boys and girls. But the problem is all that glitters is not gold. I can't say about other departments but civil engineering department is plain dismal. No proper laboratories. Faculty members are not very qualified. In a nutshell I won't recommend this college.
College is not good. No faculty at all neither camp using of core branches. Isolated surrounding. Very far from city. No extracurricular activity no fest no fresher’s. Communication problem. Not even a good canteen no sports. Only a slow Wi-Fi. Disastrous lab conditions worst then anyone can think.
The brand name and the placement record of the college was instrumental in my choice of this college, but my desire of doing CSE was the main reason. The college failed to live up to the expectations as some of the faculty members were not capable enough. The location of the college is also too distant from the main city of Kolkata. The infrastructure however was good and sufficient instruments for the labs and practical were there for all. The hostel life was awesome and the friends I made ther...
The college used to be okay till a few years back. It has degraded a lot since then. It’s become an autonomous institution now. The management is trying to bring back the lost pride. The faculty is trying to do whatever they can, but most if it goes in vain. They don’t have a great bunch of faculty. If you are expecting any kind of placement opportunities then start working hard from the beginning and give your best at everything.
Not great return of investment. Average in terms of infrastructure and faculty. Placements are poor. Though a lot of companies (some of the MNCs) come to recruit, they recruit very few students. Campus is beautiful. Location is pretty bad, daily commute is a problem for people who don't opt for hostel. Improvements are happening, so expecting this college to strengthen its weakness.
