A tour of the Colaba Campus Of KC.
Placements: Roles in content writing, PR, business development, and brand management are offered. Almost 89% of the students who sit for placements get hired. The average package is about 2.5 LPA, and the highest depends on the role and the interview.
Infrastructure: As students of media, we were encouraged to think outside the box. We have a photo studio for learning the art of photography. The food in the canteen is pretty tasty too. The library is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for students. Though we only had a building rather than a campus, it was still an amazing place to study. There were some really amazing spots to roam around.

Quite affordable. Overall a very good college.
Placements: Different roles, like director, cinematographer, art director, DOP, actor, and actress, are offered in the course. Internships are provided whenever openings are available, which are quite worth the time and energy. The lowest package offered is around 7–8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Many departments are available to college students, with different facilities: discounts on train tickets, studio rooms, recording rooms, an auditorium, a canteen, a library, and IT labs. The food in the canteen is top-notch. Medical facilities are available all the time.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful and well-qualified, with knowledge gained from working in the industry. The course curriculum is quite relevant and often very interesting to learn. The semester exams are not very hard to pass if students attend lectures daily.

KC College - Worth it or not?
Placements: The college does have a placement cell, although it’s not much looked upon. They usually underpay the students. Hence, students prefer taking up internships from outside organizations themselves. Mostly, media organizations only visit, making it difficult for journalism students to get internships.
Infrastructure: The Mass Media department has been shifted to a different branch in Colaba, making it very hard for students to commute. The infrastructure there is poor, and there are very limited resources. There are no hostel facilities provided, although there is a small canteen on campus.
Faculty: Professors are good and qualified. They are responsive even after hours. The course curriculum is relevant, although it doesn’t seem like it makes students ready for the real world. Exams are reasonable and not too difficult if studied well and attended.
Other: The campus could improve a lot. It would be better if the Mass Media Department were shifted back to the main campus, as it is more of a practical course.

All about my college. I'm very happy with my college.
Placements: Around 80-90% of students get placements in top companies if their CGPA is good. I am a fresher, so I don't know much about it. My brother got a placement from the same college and his annual salary package is around 8 LPA at the start which is absolutely not bad.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi in classrooms and a library, which is very useful. Our classrooms have air conditioners. I am not in the hostel. My friends stay in the hostel, and they say that it is pretty good. There are pretty good amenities. The food in the canteen is also nice. The area where the college is located, trust me, you will like it.
Faculty: Teachers are very co-operative and highly experienced. The way of teaching is very nice and understandable. I am currently studying BMS. Teachers are very nice. Semesters are not that hard if you pay attention in class because teachers cover all the topics nicely.
Other: I chose this course because I want to make my career in the management field, and I am doing it in one of the best colleges in south Mumbai. I am happy about it. There are many fests. They are very exciting. The crowd is nice. If you're planning to take admission here, trust me go for it without any hesitation.

A GOOD MASTERS LIFE, that is what I can say about this college have given me.
Placements: We are a total of 30 students only. The highest package was 7 LPA, and the average package was 4 LPA, while the lowest package was 3 LPA. Companies like Deloitte and TCS are top recruiters. We all have to do internships in this course as it's compulsory, but it is not provided by the college; we have to find it ourselves. Top roles offered were data analyst, tester, developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good and modern, and all the classrooms have AC installed. They also have projectors and smart boards installed for a better learning experience. We get every kind of facility, like a small library, labs, sports room, etc. The hostel is pretty good and clean, from what I have heard, and the canteen is also clean and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they assist us in understanding the material. They are all well-qualified and knowledgeable to learn from. This course curriculum is relevant to the IT sector, so it prepares us with everything required to pass an interview at IT companies. The semester exams are pretty much at an intermediate level, and we can only pass if we study; almost everyone passes, with about 95 percent passing the exams.

KC college review in short.
Placements: KC College's biotechnology programme disappoints in placements due to limited scope and below-average salaries. They must enhance industry collaboration and offer training. Students should consider this before enrolling themselves and making wise decisions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also below average and they don't have well-equipped labs lacking a few devices. The library is also under construction and there are no such hostel facilities for out-of-state kids who come to study here. So, it is tough for them.
Faculty: The teachers are quite knowledgeable but they lack in time management and completing your syllabus They might have lectures just a day before your exams the course curriculum is relevant semester exams are quite easy if you study. If you study, the passing percentage is around 40%.
Other: The course is really helpful if you're actually interested in it. The events in college are very lively and they are the best in the college and very enjoyable.

Q:   Can I get admission in KC College for B.Sc with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

As mentioned earlier, securing admission to KC College for B.Sc. solely based on your 60% score in Class 12th is uncertain. While it meets the minimum eligibility criteria, several factors determine the cutoff marks for specific courses:

1. Course Popularity: Courses like B.Sc. Information Technology, Computer Science, and Biotechnology often have higher cutoffs due to their higher demand compared to other B.Sc. specializations.

2. Application Pool: The number of applicants applying for a particular course in a given year significantly impacts cutoffs. A higher number of applicants with high scores can significantly push the cutoff upwards.

3. Reservation Policies: KC College, being a minority institution, reserves seats for various categories like SC, ST, OBC, etc. This can affect the general category cutoff.

Here's what you can do to get a better understanding of your chances:

  • Check previous year's cutoffs: The college might release previous year's cutoffs on their official website or admission portal. This can give you a general idea of the range for different B.Sc. courses.
  • Contact the college admission office: They can provide the latest information on cutoffs and eligibility criteria for specific B.Sc. courses you're interested in.
  • Consider other factors: Beyond academics, the college might consider factors like entrance exam scores (if applicable) and extracurricular achievements during the selection process.

By considering all these aspects, you can get a clearer picture of your potential for admission into KC College for B.Sc. Remember, a score of 60% might not guarantee admission, but it doesn't necessarily exclude you either.
