A college review by Shivam Patel.
Placements: The placement of students is almost 60%, and the highest placement was 14 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top companies recruiting are TCS, Infosys, Wipro. On-campus internships are difficult to get, but you can apply for off-campus internships. I don't exactly know about the roles offered because I haven't had a conversation with the seniors yet.
Infrastructure: We have seminar halls where our classes are taken, and all seminar halls have air conditioning and smart boards. We also have a pretty good computer lab, and the computers in the lab are in top condition, with i7 processors and 32GB of RAM in all of them. Also, we have a library in our college where we can issue books whenever we want by withdrawing our library card.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, Ph.D. holders, and teach very well. You might find some teachers a little irritable because of their nature, but you can get marks in their subjects easily if you study. The course and curriculum are very relevant to the industry, and in the curriculum, we study all the GATE subjects in our branch. Semester exams are of medium difficulty, with all subjects having an end-semester exam of 50 marks, but it can differ if the college changes it for new admission students. However, you can pass easily by studying one day before the exam.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted Maths with Computer Science. The best thing about our course is that we study a lot of Maths, so we can go into a data-related career. The better thing the college can do in this course is bring in more experienced teachers. Events don't happen in college, but the campus crowd is good. The college is just 3 km from Gwalior station, so it is easy to get there. There are two scholarships available in the college: MPTAAS and Medhavi Vidyarthi Scholarship. There aren't many extracurricular activities.

My journey: In which I got many experiences and knowledge.
Placements: Placements are average in our college, and in my batch, we also got average placements, around 5 LPA. But in recent years, placements have been going down, and in my senior batch (2025) of my branch, only 12 students out of 80 students are placed till now, and the placement percentage is low, around 40% (overall college). Students get a minimum package of 4 LPA, and this year the highest package is 11 LPA. But yes, the Training and Placement cell has a lot to improve. In our college, students have to find internships on their own because the college does not provide internships to students.
Infrastructure: I heard from hostelers that the infrastructure of the hostel is decent, but the fee is so high, and the mess food is so bad. Our college has very good infrastructure. The labs are quite good, and we have many computers and AI/ML labs. The canteen is also decent, and the rate of food is affordable. We have one decent-sized clinic where we can get free basic medicine. Our college has one football ground, 4 badminton courts, 1 cricket ground, 1 basketball court, and 1 volleyball court. Our college also has a library, which is open Monday to Friday (10 AM - 6 PM).
Faculty: In my college, most teachers have done their Ph.D. in their respective fields and are mostly helpful. Faculty members are well-prepared for class, providing notes and PPTs for the course. Some teachers have excellent teaching quality, but many teachers seem like they are not interested in teaching. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, but it does not provide enough knowledge to make students industry-ready. Students have to put in hard work by themselves to become industry-ready. The end-semester examination is moderately difficult, and approximately 90% of students passed the exam (in my branch).
Other: In Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, the best thing about my course is that we get knowledge about both hardware and software. But I wish our college would focus more on the AI part because, currently, in my course, faculty mostly focus on the robotics part. So I wish they would focus on both parts equally. Sadly, our college does not have many annual fests but has many mini-fests like Telsi Mahotsav and Ethnic Day. There are many tech and art clubs in college, such as GeeksforGeeks, GDSC, CodeWar, and many more. I receive Rs 28,500 as scholarship money yearly from the Madhya Pradesh government.

Brief information about MITS, Gwalior.
Placements: I am from the 2020–24 batch. During my time, there were not many companies that visited and fewer offers were made. Some of the good companies that visited for CSE were Kloudspot, Accenture and Newgen. Also, Tejas Network conducted a common test in Bhopal, where many colleges were there for the process and from our college, 2 students got selected at 10 LPA. Apart from this, placement is not that good and many companies have just not completed their processes, and many of them are sales companies.
Infrastructure: I am not from a hostel, as I am a day scholar. But in MITS, the boys hostels are provided only for the first year and from the second year onwards, they have to accommodate themselves outside the college. Apart from this, the course work was decent; as for CSE, most of the core subjects were completed until the 2nd year.
Faculty: The teachers here are really very helpful. I was preparing for GATE and all the teachers here are very kind and knowledgeable. The curriculum is decent and if someone does the work regularly, it's not very hectic. At the same time, exams are also decent and one can score a good CGPA by doing their work regularly.
Other: If you want to prepare for any exam like GATE, CAT, etc., then it's a good college, as faculty members are very supportive here. I don't recommend this college for getting good internships and placements.

Basically, its curriculum is good as it is now a deemed university, and the fees are quite high.
Placements: My class has a strength of 78 students, and about placements, the average package is approximately 4 to 5 Lacs rupees per annum, and the lowest package is about 2.5 Lacs rupees per annum. In my department, AIML (machine learning specializations), interested companies do come and select students.
Infrastructure: Labs are available for fulfilling required things for practicals, and as for hostels, the rooms are good. For the first year, a room is shared by four students. In the second year, in the girls' hostel, two students share a room. The hostel timings are 6:30 PM for girls and 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM for boys.
Faculty: Fees are quite high for a government-funded college or with respect to a government-aided one. For the first year, it is about 1.73 Lacs, and then it's near 1.28 Lacs per year. As of this year, it is a deemed university, so some changes have occurred in the curriculum, like the mid-semesters being conducted two times: Minor 1 and Minor 2, and then the end-semester.
Other: The campus is pretty good and good for extracurricular activities too.

MITS Review to Guide Newly Admitted Students.
Placements: Placement is very good. College arranges lots of companies for on-campus interviews and is very supportive. They directly communicate with the HR of companies for better solutions for students, and there is also a club dedicated to Placement and Training on the college campus.
Infrastructure: A new building block was developed recently for newly admitted students, and there is also sufficient space in every tutorial and seminar hall to accommodate about 150 students in a class. The new block is very well designed, and there is also a lift for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and encourage students for new and innovative things. They have very high knowledge and hold Ph. D.s in their field, making them perfect to teach and guide future engineers of India. Also, there are sufficient faculty members.

Good infrastructure, average placements, average faculty, good curriculum
Placements: Placement is not so good here. Last year highest package offered was of 12 lakhs, average is 5 lakhs. Many students got more package from off campus and internships are not on campus. You have to crack internship off campus. Some students even got placed in Google, Amazon etc off campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college campus is pretty good. Campus is beautiful, it has 11 seminar halls and many big classes but hostel is not soo good. It is so costly and they give 4 sharing rooms for freshers. Even they don't give hostel for boys after 1st year. The mess food is not so good.
Faculty: The teachers here are not so knowledgeable. Some are so good and some are not that good. Curriculum is very good, it has all the gate subjects in it if you want to prepare for gate the college is perfect for you. The attendance is also not a problem here, people even with 20-30 percent attendance get to write exams.
Other: I took the course because it was a sub branch of computer science. I wish the faculties will improve in future. Talking about events, many events are organized but fests are not at all organized here. Scholarship are available only through government scholarships and games and sports are also available. There are grounds for every sports you can play whatever you want like football, basketball, volleyball, cricket etc.
