Best girls college in Delhi University.
Placements: In my college, I think not a lot of students got many placements, but 5% of students got placements every year, and the highest goal of 8 Lacs, and the minimum offer of 3 Lacs now. The companies, for example, right now are Microsoft, etc. And the percentage is also very good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is really very good. The labs, the Wi-Fi, the library, the ground, and all the other services are very good. The infrastructure is overall very good, and the cleanliness of my college is absolutely admirable. With that, the canteen food is an issue because we don't like the canteen food a lot because of its quality. Except for that, all the services are very good, whether it comes to sports, medicine, or games. There are also many opportunities provided to the students.
Faculty: In my college, the teachers are very helpful and very knowledgeable. The teaching techniques, and the teaching quality, are so good. They are very approachable, very helpful, and very supportive to each and every student in my course. For English Honours, the study is a very famous course at Delhi University. The semester exam depends on how much you have got in your CA and how much you have written in your theoretical exam.
Other: I chose English Honours, and I chose this course because of my own interest. The best thing about this course is its diversity. The one thing I would like to improve is the number of books; it can be less. Except for that, the extracurricular activities and the crowd are so amazing and so friendly.

Maitreyi College has great infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: There are 69 students in total in my course. Several opportunities are offered related to placements and recruitments in our college. They also teach students new skills and offer stipends up to Rs. 5,000 which also opens the gate for employment in the future for the students.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in this course were so good. Wi-Fi was available. Classrooms as well as the library, everything was present. The food quality in college was so good. Medical facilities were available. Sports and games were also available.Facilities provided by our college for our course are good. Classrooms are large and seats are comfortable. Projectors for smart classes are provided in each classroom and air conditioners are also there. Library contains books from each subject or department. MacBooks are available in the library. Canteen serves healthy and hygienic food at an affordable price. Different varieties of food are available, from South Indian to North Indian, and street food is also available. Sports society is there in the college for those who like to participate in sports.
Faculty: Professors are very friendly and engaging with the students. Their teaching method is very understandable. In Maitreyi, teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide us with information not only related to our syllabus but also out of syllabus, which helps us a lot. Semester exams are moderate and professors also provide students with notes and previous year questions so that students can prepare themselves for the upcoming examinations.

A good choice among other colleges of DU.
Placements: The placements for the B.A. programme are average. Not many companies hire from our course. The placement rate is around 60-70%, with very few being from on-campus placements. B.A (Hons) has a much better placement as compared to B.A Programme.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is definitely good at Maitrey College, University of Delhi. The campus is a green landscape with red sandstone buildings. The library is well-updated with recent course books. The canteen also offers averagely tasting food at minimal cost. We also have an auditorium, seminar hall, playgrounds, and labs too.
Faculty: The teachers are average. Some of them are very enthusiastic, whereas some of them don't really get bothered about anything. But, all of them are very knowledgeable and experienced. Guest lectures also take place in our college. The exams are also not very difficult.

    Review of Maitreyi College.
Placements: I don't want any placement from my college as I will be preparing for civil services after my graduation. The highest package offered in our college is 21 Lacs per annum. The average package is 5.3 Lacs per annum. The placement percentage is around 40%, which is a decent percentage.
Infrastructure: I'm impressed by the infrastructure of the college; it's quite good though it's a government college. The building is not too old, but it is good-looking too. The classrooms, labs, and library are well-maintained here. Hostel facilities are also provided by the college. Good quality of hostel rooms with all facilities required: table, B.Ed almirah, AC, Wi-Fi, and many more.
Faculty: There are a lot of faculty members in our college, and everyone is too nice to be hated or disliked. This is because the level of comfort and joy while they teach is absolutely wow. In a year, there are two exams: mid-semester and final semester. The course curriculum is quite relevant.
Other: I opted for this course because I love to do social work, and from my class 11, my interest developed in this course. Events and fests are organized occasionally, and the connectivity of the college to the nearest metro is approximately 2 km.

A college with good infrastructure and very supportive teachers.
Placements: It is a theory-based course and does not provide any type of placement. This course is very helpful for students who are preparing for UPSC. It is a great course for students who love to study about India and other countries history. It is an interesting course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is quite good but old, and we all are happy with it. The quality of the food provided in the canteen is good and pocket-friendly for all students. Our college provides students with free Wi-Fi which is very helpful.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They guide students at every point. Teachers are highly qualified and very knowledgeable. Most of the teachers have a teaching experience of 10-15 years. They provide students with all notes and study materials required. I am in the first year, so I don't know about semester exams.
Other: When I was in school, history was my favorite subject, and I wanted to become an IAS officer, so I chose this course. Our college organises many events like Dandiya Night, etc. Diwali Mela is organised by the student union of our college.

Placements: A rough rate of 70% is placed every year on our course. The placements anyway are average here since it is a 2-tier college. Only a bunch of students get good placements. The average package is around INR 4 LPA. The placement cell is active but there is a huge difference between our college and the north campus' placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very eye-calming. The entire campus is built of red stone, which is very soothing to see. Besides, we do have all the amenities like laboratories, auditoriums, playgrounds, seminar halls, parking and air-conditioned and regular classrooms.
Faculty: The faculty is very experienced. They are always supportive when it comes to new initiatives and other personal concerns as well. They always motivate us to grow and enhance our skill set by participating in extracurricular activities. The course curriculum is relevant and we also do historical walks and archeological visits.

    Maitreyi College BA 2024 FAQs

Q:   Is BA at Maitreyi College better than Zakir Husain Delhi College?

    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, with both of these institutions having great name for themselves in academics and also having achieved a gradation of "A+" by NAAC, is quite tough to compare these two colleges for studying any subject in Bachelor of arts. Zakir Husain college offers almost 26 different streams or varieties of graduations in Bachelor of arts whereas Maitreyi college offers only 8 varieties in Bachelor of arts. So this may decide a student's choice as to which college to select based on the specialisation one wants to do in this stream of arts. Another criteria is the placements. In this area perhaps Maitri out scores Zakir Hussain. They have declared on their webpage that almost 60% of more than 200 students placed last year were from the stream of arts.

Be that as it may both colleges appear to have a very nice set of teachers and academic programs as well as varieties of co curricular activities for students for the overall development. This makes both the college almost appear at the same footing while selecting. Of course if one is a male student then there is no choice but to go for Zakir Hussain college since Maitreyi is only for girls. But overall I would say Zakir Hussain is better than Maitreyi for BA.

    Best wishes to you.

    * Course: The BA Honours History course is interesting and provides a solid foundation for further studies. The curriculum is relevant, and the exams are manageable with proper preparation.
    * Placement: Placements are decent, with around 70-80% of students securing placements. The highest package offered is around INR 4.5 LPA, and the average package is around INR 4 LPA.
    * Scholarships: Scholarships are available, with around 75-80% of students receiving them.
    * Campus Life: The college has a lively campus with various societies, festivals, and events. The area around the college is safe and picturesque, with embassies and diplomatic missions nearby.
    * Library: The library is well-stocked with books and resources, although finding a particular title might take some effort.
