MIT, Manipal College Review.
Placements: The overall placements for information technology were really great. Most of the students in my batch have been placed in well-reputed MNCs across the country. The students are offered roles varying from software developer to data analyst. The average package is 15 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are better than what you can expect from any other college. The hostels are well-equipped with wi-fi, cleaning staff and laundry. There are more than 3 messes on the campus itself, which even provide late-night food delivery to hostel blocks.
Faculty: The professors are helpful enough if you approach them well in advance. The curriculum is as per industry standards and the core subjects that are required to clear the interviews are taught each year, accompanied by hands-on lab practice. The end-of-semester exams are designed to assess the understanding of the student in the best way possible.

Manipal Institute of Technology: A Hub of Innovation and Excellence in Engineering Education.
Placements: More than 70% of the students in this course had a placement. The highest-paying package was 51 LPA and the lowest was around 5–9 LPA. Top recruiters are JP Morgan Chase Co., Deutsche Bank, FirstCry, and AWS. The top roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, full-stack developer, microprocessor engineer, and cybersecurity hardware engineer.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are decent; attached washrooms and ACs are available too. The professors are great at what they teach; labs build your foundation. Wi-fi here, whether it be in the academic blocks or in the hostel, runs at a decent 40 Mbps. Mess has great facilities, as you can order from mess or the Indian kitchen.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They teach the syllabus and give us more knowledge on the subject too. Exams are written on an iPad, which is a huge step towards a digital future. Subjects are helpful to students in the long term as they are industry-ready.

This is the most honest and correct review you will find on MIT Manipal.
Placements: Placements here at MIT Manipal is okay for CSE related branches(avg for CSE and CCE was 16LPA and IT was 13LPA for the batch of 2023). Although stats were pretty promising till last year but due to recession and layoffs that too has been down this year. Placements in Core branches has never been great ever. Getting above 10 LPA in core branches would be considered a big deal. Most people in core branches like electrical, electronics and mechanical average around 7-8 LPA. Although scoring 8.5+ CGPA would really help any individual in securing a good placement or internship. Also for software related roles most of the companies don't allow students below electrical branches to sit for placements but some companies are open for all so anyone preparing for software roles in core branches should look for this opportunity.
Infrastructure: Academic Infrastructure of MIT Manipal is good enough. It is decent and exactly how it should be nothing too fancy. Academic Blocks are well maintained and most of the classrooms do have central air conditioning systems. Hostel Infrastructure is one of the best across the country. First Year Boys should go for Block - 16, 17, 19, 20. All rooms are equipped with washrooms which is cleaned in a gap of 2 days. Senior Boys Hostel - 14 and 15 are full AC hostels and they are equipped with personal washrooms too. Hostel 18 is also available for Senior Boys which have rooms pertaining to a 2BHK Flat. AC or NON-AC options are available in Hostel 16, 17, 18 ,19, 20. Single and Double rooms are available in above mentioned hostels. WiFi speed is capped at 15mbps in Hostels (which is absurd IITs have internet speeds blazing at 300-400mbps) but there is no cap on data usage. Internet works most of the time but some times it does feel glitchy and I rely on my 5G mobile data.
Faculty: About Faculty as usual some are good, some are average and some are bad, really depends on you luck which one do you get. Although during the entire course of engineering you will end up facing all of the above types. I would emphasize on discussing with your seniors about the good faculties that you can work with in case of research work. About Curriculum I will speak about CSE related branches. Academic workload starts piling up into the second month of the semester. In the beginning of any semester everything would be chill and then all of a sudden Lab Midsems, Lab Program Check, Lab Manual Submission, Theory Exams all will come at once. You finish one task and the other jumps in. This is how you will follow till Mid Semester Examination. You may a get a free week after midsems but then Lab Project Submission, Lab Endsem, Final Lab Manual Submission and Theory Endsem would come into picture and BOOM sem is over within a month. And you will still wonder how fast the semester ended. Subjects are tough as well. Some courses in 2nd and 3rd semester are quite difficult as well which are no joke as they have the highest number of makeups. And finally talking about Exams they are tough both the midsems and endsems in general except when the faculties designing the paper decides to show some mercy on the students. Questions are highly application based. Cramming overnight might help you pass but if you want a good grade like A or A+ or even B you should have a clear understanding of the subject. Lab Work is pretty tedious and tiring and absolute wastage of time as we have to write down all our codes in Lab Manual which is of no use after the semester ends. Hundreds of pages of Code which is also available on our computer. MIT Manipal also has a poor system of endsem revaluation. To review our answer sheets we have to remain on the campus even during our vacation because the college doesn't allow us to view answer sheet outside college premises. Therefore many people do not even get to see the endsem papers and only those present for paper viewing on campus are eligible to apply for revaluation. The result published after revaluation is considered final. So if you didn't review your paper and got a bad grade which you weren't expecting you have no option left. You cannot apply for any sort of revaluation and have to accept the result.
Other: Campus Life is great. Weather is hot and humid most of the times. No Winter Season. There are a lot of places to hang around people generally go on party on weekends or even trips on long weekends during Diwali or after Midsems. Great Place to make memories.

I am absolutely satisfied with my university.
Placements: The placements here are also good, as the highest package is around 52 lacs for the IT department. The top recruiting company is Microsoft and the average package is around 15 lacs, which is pretty good compared to most of the government colleges and the roles they offer here are also in line with our course.
Infrastructure: The classrooms at the college are top notch and the Wi-Fi services are pretty good. The food is somewhat okay but they take really good care of our hygiene and the infrastructure here, compared to most of the universities in India, is a lot better, as is the environment.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and the curriculum is designed in such a way that it will help you a lot in your future endeavors. The curriculum also makes the students ready for the industry, as the college itself promotes industrial training and innovation, which helps the students grow.

The college life and the placements are amazing.
Placements: The highest package has been approximately 54.2 LPA, and the lowest and average are 12.39 LPA. A lot of known companies, like Google, Facebook, etc., are recruiting. Last year, almost 92.6% of people got placed. I am not really sure about the roles offered but I am guessing just being an employee is the first stage.
Infrastructure: The facilities are the best. The libraries are big, with study halls (both individual and group), free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The classrooms are huge and air-conditioned, with projectors. The mess provides really good food. The hostel's infrastructure is well built and cleaning is done on a regular basis. We have KMC Hospital right outside campus, so we can go there if anything happens. There are a lot of courts and fields for sports.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Since I am in my first year, the course curriculum seems irrelevant because our course currently starts only in our second year. The semester exams are pretty hard and a lot of people end up giving retests. The good thing is that our college has the option of retesting, which most colleges do not give. So if we fail, we don't get a backlog right after; we have a chance to pass.
Other: I chose this course because of the packages offered. The campus life is amazing here. It's very fun.

The syllabus for MUOET is displayed on the MU website under the admission details. Basics of class 11th and class 12th knowledge will be very helpful. Be thorough with your concepts and you won't need any other books. To get a scholarship, your rank should be lower than 1000.
