MEC Kochi is a fine choice for Computer Science engineering aspirants.

Placements: More than 90 percent students were placed at MEC in the year 2019-2020, which is more than most government colleges in Kerala. Some of the prominent ones include RedBus, Amazon, Nvidia and so on. The highest package offered at our college in the year 2019-20 was 24 LPA.

Good placement in 2019. The college location is nice.

Placements: Every year there is placement above 90%. There is a strong placement cell. Major recruiters include TCS, Deloitte etc. Top packages were offered by Ansys, Amazon. The training cell helps us in getting placement. Every person here is for placement and everyone helps each other.

College provides good placements, and not so great infrastructure, and the campus is small.

Placements: This year 2019 for the computer science branch about 157 students got placement offers, and the internship offer counts to about 50 both campus and off-campus. Some top recruiting companies like Bosch, Cognizant, Deloitte visited the campus. The year had an outstanding placement season, with 75% of students getting placed. In the year 2018, about 136 students got job offers through the college campus. Companies like Wipro, Tata, ThoughtWorks, Zoho, Cybage also recruited the students.

GMEC is one of the best engineering colleges in India. Excellent placements are there every year.

Placements: In terms of placements, Government Model Engineering College stood top in Kerala. Several companies including large MNCs visit our college and recruit most of them according to their requirements. Almost all students are placed after their course at our college (exceptions are there for the students who have failed in any subject). In the year 2017, about 85 companies visited our college and recruited many of them. In Kerala, after NIT Calicut, GMEC comes first based on placements. The reason be...

I'm satisfied with the faculty and good placements and the campus crowd of my college.

Placements: There was a lot of placement offers for our batch and our senior batches because we were studying at Cochin University of Science and Technology, but now, it is under KTU, so the placement offers have decreased. Almost 90% of the students were placed in different companies. The highest salary offered to a student in computer science was 15 lacs per annum, and the lowest is around 2 lacs per annum. The companies that visited our college includes Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Bosch, Acer, Tata Consultanc...

Placements: Placements are very good. The highest was 22 lakhs offered by D.E. Shaw and average packages are around 5-6lakhs. Overall, the number of students placed is also high. The college is ranked 27th at the all-India level for its placements. The placements are higher for computer science students compared to the other branches. The placements for Biomedical students are low. Companies like Nvidia, Bosch, Amazon, Deloitte, Redbus and many reputed organizations come for recruitment. Core companies for ...

The college is well connected with the corporate world and is a placement paradise for the students. Also it is ranked among the top colleges and has very well experienced faculty. Students are supported and encouraged at every step. The campus is very small and the college lacks funds to expand its operations.

Model Engineering College, unlike most other engineering colleges, is not a big college considering the size of the campus or number of departments. But I must say if I am someone in life today, it is because of my college. The placement statistics are very high, about 95%. The quality of teachers is very good and extra curricular activities are also in good number, be it sports or arts or managerial events.
