Review of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology.

Placements: There were no placements in the year 2014 due to the crisis in the US IT industry. We got placed through off-campus drives. The college didn't provide placement opportunities due to the market based economical crisis. Off-campus placements were poor as the competition was high which lead to many aspirants remaining unplaced.

Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology - Good, Okay, Bad.

Placements: TPOs are quite effective, ECE, CSE and IT departments had a placement of around 40% of their students, core departments had very low placements. Average salary ( IT companies) was around 3.5 LPA, the highest was 11LPA ( Microsoft ) Most of the drives were pool campusing drives, still the some of the notable ones are Cummins India, Pernod Ricard India, Asahi Glass, TCS, Microsoft, CGI, Capgemini, IBM, Bosch etc.

I will give this college 2 out of 5.

Placements: There is no such placement takes place which will help the students, for his career. It's a great fact that there is a lack of job availability. For a great placement you guys can take admissionswith CS and IT department which having great placement in this present market conditions.

MSIT- the worst place to get in, the best place to come out.

Placements: As far as the Department is concerned, about 8-9 core companies visited the college this year. But as the female students are not allowed to sit for those companies, scenario was not unbiased. 30% students are placed now, with an average salary of 12k per month. Site visiting, maintenance department posts were mostly offered.

Not up to the mark but definitely a savior.

Placements: The placement is not as good as anyone would want in their college to be. One of the reasons of this is the quality of the students which is not up to the mark. Nevertheless, some students do get very good jobs. It is upon the students at the end of the day. But there are certain companies like Infosys, TCS, I and we and some others too which visit the college Every year to pick a handful of students.

Poor Placements, Good Memories.

Placements: Very few students placed. Students placements were of less desirable profile and few were satisfied with placements. Maximum salary offered was three Lacs per annum approximately. Would not recommend college for placements. Visiting companies included CGI, Capgemini, Bentley Systems.

It's a good college and gives placement to mainly IT and CSE batches.

Placements: The placements regarding IT and CSE are good. This year civil got nice placements. In electrical, only a few got placed, and in rest only 2-3 of them got placed. The faculty members regarding the electrical branch are very supportive. Other teachers also help a lot. Apart from that, the surroundings around the campus and the college site are very beautiful. The seniors are very good and help a lot. Extracurricular activities are very active and have raw talents. The football team is quite some s...

The review of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology by a first-year mechanical engineering student.

Placements: The placement is very poor in last year's summary. The previous year, the placement percentage was good enough. The college promised to give better placement in future batch for all the streams. The placement of mechanical department is too low and in IT's too high. TCS was our mass recruiter, but they are not showing much interest nowadays.

A good place to learn engineering but getting jobs need lot of hard work.

Placements: Around 100 students got placed in 2017. The top recruiters being IT companies like CGI, Capgemini, and IBM. 3 people got in google and 2 in TCS. The average salary offered is 3.2 lpa to 3.37lpa. The initiation of students does internship and training. Our college arranged only one training center. Rest internship in case of electrical students was very rare, and college didn't help in that. Now coming to core placements in EE one guy got placed in the Line group. One guy in EE branch got placed ...

This college is good if you want to learn.

Placements: Placements are very low in the mechanical department. No proper placement has happened here as only the pool-campus drive is conducted here every time. The core companies also do not come here. Most of the student are giving their effort for the GATE examinations and other examination. The placement cell is also present here, and they are very helpful.

Encourages students for innovative ideas.

Placements: The number of companies that visited the campus is very high, but the no. of students getting recruited here is not that good. Placements for computer science and engineering is quite well this year, as around 60% of the students from the computer science department were placed, but the placement for the other departments are not that good. The highest package offering company was Adobe with the package of 40 LPA, but no one was recruited here. The students who got placed for the highest package...

The review of MSIT, MCA department, 2016.

Placements: Only 10 out of 38 students were placed from our batch. TCS took 6 students and Wipro 4 students, and it was a BPO job from Wipro. Here the main recruiter is TCS. If you don't have 60% of the aggregate then will recommend not to get admitted to this college. The college only brings companies with 60% criteria. The placement is not good compared to other colleges.

The college was famous for its civil engineering placements, but now it is not like that.

Placements: Here, 35% of the students of our batch were placed in 3 companies, i.e., L&T, BOC, and A2z Infra. Our senior batch also got 100% placements. Also, L&T offered Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum which is the highest. All the placed candidates were placed in the site engineer roles. There is a placement cell which is very efficient, and no candidates got the internship.

The college with good faculty, average placement and worse infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are excellent for CSE and ECE and go average for other streams. Thye average salary offered 3.5lpa. The highest package of the previous year was 9.5 lpa. Main recruiters are Capgemini, TCS, MindTree, and Wipro. But, the placements of other streams are decreasing every year. But still, our college holds a better position in outside competitions.

My college life is so boring.

Placements: The placements in the college are very poor. Don't get admission to this college. This is a very bad college. I am a jobless one. Only 2 or 3 members were placed from my department.

I am satisfied with the journey of 2 years and looking forward to spend the next 2 years happily.

Placements: The placements used to be good in the last few years. But from 2017, it started degrading. As a result, the strike took place. After that many mass recruiters came and most of the students got placed. CSE, ECE, IT have the good reputation of getting placed. Other department placements are average. For CSE, the average package is 3 LPA. CTS and TCS are the most visited companies. Few got placed in Microsoft and large industries, but it's rare.

Some facts about Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, you should know.

Placements: The placement was a good few years ago. But now the scenario has been changed slightly. IT companies recruit more compared to core companies. Last year there was some 12 (out of 65) students from the civil department got placed in a core company. For CSE, IT, ECE the figure is different. The average placement rate for these branches is above 40 %.

Placement is a big concern. College administrative not efficient.

Placements: Placements were quite good until 2016 pass-outs batch but it came down drastically to as low as 30-40% for the 2017 pass-outs. For the 2018 pass-outs, only 10 % placed until November 2017. No company visits MSIT campus, all the students have to go to the Techno Salt Lake (Techno India Main Campus) for placements.

There is no placement for a dreamer.

Placements: During 2012-13, not even 10% of the placements were achieved in the college. About 5-6 out of 70 in our batch got placed in core company while we were not even allowed to take part in the campaigning programme by any IT company, e.g. TCS. The average salary which was offered was 22,000 per month. The T.P.O of this college are always inactive as usual. There were some fake companies as well, which came for the recruitment.

Not excellent but a good place to spend your 4 years

Placements: Placements vary from good to average. You cannot expect great placements but on an average 3-4 LPA is something you can expect. Also, recently due to IT downturn placements have suffered a lot. There aren't many core jobs and most of the jobs are based out of IT only.
