It is the best fashion institute in India.

Placements: NIFT is a pioneer in style training in India. Undergraduate designing and fashion communication are the best courses here, which doesn't mean the master courses are less. MFM (Masters in Fashion Management) is a knowledgeable and ideal course for the individuals who need to work in style retail, showcasing and PR. Placements totally depend on students capabilities.

It was not at all good enough because of its placements.

Placements: It was not at all a nice experience getting placed through the placement cell of our college because I got placed in a fraud company. There were no desktops to work, no office. It was a store without even a washroom to use. There were no head designers to guide me, and I had to resign it as there was no chance of getting any good exposure for learning any practical work. It affected my career very badly that I had to change three companies in the search for a good one, and I'm still looking for ...

It is a good college for real fashion world experience.

Placements: Placements in the college were good as compared to our senior batch. Moreover, most of the students of our batch got pre-placement offers from their respective companies in which they were doing their graduation project. The highest salary package offered was ranged between 25-30 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was ranged between 15-20 LPA. Most of the companies were for styling and visual merchandising, and there were few numbers of companies for textile and fashion.

1460 strenuous yet totally worth it days of a so called 'adult'. .

Placements: Placement offers given by the college or the department are very poor. They do not provide you with much aid. However, majority of the population opts out of this and prefers looking for their own thing so at to satisfy their wants in a better way. The teachers tend to help out in certain cases but that solely depends on favouritism.

Come enjoy the college life with best faculty members, facilities and go with the best placements.

Placements: NIFT graduates are demanded mostly in the industry. Every year, many companies and brands like Max, Arvind Mills, Globes, etc., come to the campus at the end of the year and take deserving students with them. Last year, 88% of the students got jobs before graduation from the college. The highest package offered was 28 LPA and not only placements, but some companies offer internships also, and the student completes his/her course, they offer them jobs if deserving. From last many years, NIFTians ...

Good placements and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements of last year were very decent in which packages were going as high as 16 LPA, and the average students were easily able to get around 7-8 LPA placement. Firms from other countries have also visited for the internship, and mostly all the students have got a pretty decent job.

National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai.

Placements: NIFT, Mumbai promises the best placements in the industry. Almost 99% students get placed with the packages as per the industry standards. The industry internship helps the students to understand the demands and needs of the industry from a fashion graduate. They are taught to work under those conditions which would help them survive in the industry in the future.

An average college that produces the designers.

Placements: In 2017, the placements were not satisfactory. Very few companies visit our college, but they did not offer good packages. Due to this reason, most of my seniors didn't attend the placements, and the ones who attended didn't get placed in any company. The package offered during the placements are always low, and hardly 5% of the students get the jobs in the placements.

Satisfied with this college.

Placements: The placements are not great. Every year, the number of students getting placed is reducing. The students had to search for the internships and placements by their own. The faculty help is low, and very few of them have contacts in the industry. Sometimes, they do get placements, or else the situation will be bad.

Really good infrastructure and course curriculum.

Placements: Although this centre is the best for placements, the offers in it are underwhelming. The salary starts from 13k. The positions are limited and disappointing. There are a few good brands though. The management courses see the better placements. Brands like reliance, shoppers stop and Maxx are also seen coming to the campus.

The best fashion college in India.

Placements: The placement percent is 70-90% and companies offer moderate to high salary packages. Well-known companies from apparel, export houses, and e-commerce companies visit for recruitment. Internship opportunities are wide only if you have contacts of your seniors, any company person, or mentors.

What a fashion school looks like?

Placements: The placements are good. A lot of companies from fashion industry as well as the film industry, visit for placement. 12 lakhs per annum was the highest package offered and 2 lakhs per annum was the lowest. Brands like Lifestyle, Chemistry, Arvind Mills, Being Human, etc. came for recruitment. Everyone got an internship in the 3rd year since it is compulsory. The stipend offered was a maximum of 12k per month. Some students did not get a stipend.

Very intensive course, thus keeping students on their toes at all times. the infrastructure is decent and the professors are good too. The classes are interactive with state of the art technology used in all laboratories. Placement pay package isn't too great but has recruiters from quite a few leading fashion houses/brands in India.

NIFT provides all its students a completely different educational experience. The infrastructure of the college motivates you and triggers your creativity. A very environment- friendly college with a very peaceful atmosphere. Also, it is near to the railway station which makes it even more convenient. The faculty members are helpful and supportive as well. A student would come out of NIFT as a professional and career oriented personality. NIFT provides an opportunity to build, groom and mould y...

Good facilities but not the best option to go for.

Placements: No good placements for our course. B.FTech people have more job opportunities but that requires a mathematics background. Try opting for B.FTech or fashion communication or doing a masters from nift is a good option. Average packages go upto 6-8 Lacs per annum.

Satisfied with my college life except the fact that some things need improvement.

Placements: Not many were placed through college since the placements were not upto the mark last year. But people who did get placed, got satisfying jobs. The salary offered were starting from 20 k and went up to 50-60k. But the average salary offered was 25-30k. Lifestyle, westside, and small scale design houses offered jobs to the graduates.
