Our 2016 batch was the biggest batch of NIST.
Placements: About 25% of the students got placed in our branch, and the salary offered was ranging between Rs. 15,000 - Rs. 18,000 per month, including stay and food by the company. MEIL hired 26 students. The role isn't mentioned as now, but they will as trainees. Two students from other branches achieved the highest salary package of 16 LPA.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is fine. Classrooms are good, but we have the worst auditorium in our college. I suggest not to stay in the hostel as they have some worthless rules and much worst mess for students. Life is too bad in NIST as the location is about 20 km away from town.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good enough and highly educated, but few teachers can't even speak English fluently. This course is based on BPUT, but now it's autonomous. Teaching quality is quite fine as the facility wasn't much and we didn't expect much. So it's fine.
Other: I opted this course because I like the course and was found of doing engineering in the civil department. The best thing about our course is that it inculdes practical. So basics and required subjects would help us as technology is also increasing. Events are meant for the teachers so that they can charge money from students and enjoy their vacation. It is a part of NIST what we think.

It is a good institute for gaining knowledge but dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: Placements in the civil branch are just 7%. The highest salary offered is Rs. 45,000 per month and the lowest is Rs. 15,000 per month. Gamon India and L&t were the top recruiting companies visited the campus. Roles offered here according to students choice. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 45,000 per month and the lowest is Rs. 15,000 per month. About 10% of students got an internship in Odisha irrigation department.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with an internet speed of 5 Mbps. The labs are quite spacious and equipped. The food available is in a mess is hygienic. The campus has a 24-hour ambulance facility. The campus has its stadium for indoor and outdoor games along with the attached gym.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and knowledgeable, and most of the faculty members are PhD holders. This institute has now become autonomous and has selected the most important course that will make the student industry-ready with all the practical knowledge.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a dream to design my own house with my plans. This course must increase its practical papers. The institute also provides scholarship to meritorious students every year. It is a green campus.

The college offers a friendly environment and provides surplus knowledge.
Placements: Around 60% of students in our batch got placed. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like L&T and simplex Infra visited our campus for placements. The top role like a site engineer is offered to the students. Almost all students got an internship in our batch in various companies like Hindalco, PWD, NHAI, etc.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided on our campus. Wi-Fi facility is available. Labs are good and spacious so that students can easily do their work in the lab. Our library is one of the best among all libraries in Odisha. Classrooms are also very spacious and clean.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. They helped us in exam time also. They all are highly qualified and talented teachers. Some teachers are friendly. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students' industry-ready.

A place where you can find yourself different.
Placements: The placement offered in this college are excellent for IT, CSE department, and other branches EE, EEE, ECE, ME, CE is good. Last year, almost 600 students got placed in the different companies. Wipro hired 238 students, Infosys 178 students, Capgemini 79 students, Tech Mahindra 22 students, Mindtree 20 students, Cybage 15 students, Goaslr 9 students, Yusata Infotech 3 students, SAP lab 5 students, and so on. Last year, the highest salary package offered by Dropbox was 20 lakhs per annum, and the average package was offered 3.2 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is awesome. There are 6 main buildings in the area of 62-acres, i.e., LHC, Galleria, Atrium, Octagon, mechanical building and Taffec core. The buildings contain the big lecture hall, a laboratory for all departments, faculty rooms etc. Indoor games are also available in the Atrium. On campus, there are two boys hostels and one girl hostel and six hostels available for 1st-year students. On campus, there is a gym for both boys and girls, and also a big cricket ground, basketball, and volleyball ground is available. Most of the teachers are M.Tech degree holders and have 10-15 years of teaching experience. There are 250 faculty members available in this college. They all follow the rules and regulations of BPUT University to complete the course on time.

Refugee for the CS & IT students but it needs sometime to bring all the branches at the same level.
Placements: The placements for this year are still going on. Last year the off-campus selection of candidates was very good. One of the candidates of computer science branch got a job in google dropbox too. The placements for computer science, IT, ECE, EEE are much better concerning CE, ME, IE, EE. The record before this year placement was very good at an average of 80-85% of the students got placed. CE and ME are the branches which are started recently.
Infrastructure: There are separate well-equipped laboratories for every subject. There are two libraries, and one of them is having a good collection of competitive books of GATE, CAT, TOEFL, etc. The other one is having the good collection of academic books. The canteen and rooms are also adjustable.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are very helpful, and each faculty is assigned as the mentor of a given number of students (8-10). Each class is of 100 minutes. Extra classes are also conducted as per requirement. Apart from courses provided by BPUT the institution also teaches some extra software like ArchiCAD, Matlab along with English enhancement classes.
Other: At regular intervals seminars and formal discussions are conducted for additional benefits. Little problem with the location of the institution as it is located very far away from the town. The boarding facility is excellent concerning the money being taken for it. There is the feedback system also for evaluating the performance of every faculty which is conducted twice every semester and it is must for everyone to give.
