B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2018

Overall, it is a good environment for your growth, and you will get self motivated.
Placements: There are placements for all the students, but the salary package is very less which makes the students not to attend the interviews. No bigger companies visiting the college, but sure, the salary will be Rs.10,000 monthly. The support is given by the college to students who wish to get placed during studies, but many companies are of BPO profiles that irritates the students. There is a special placement cell for training but charges too much for that. The core companies are less in number, and the package is also not reasonable.
Infrastructure: The best thing about the college is its infrastructure and the greenery maintained by the Nehru gardens. There are well ventilated and bright classrooms with separate chairs and quality furniture. The seminar halls are air-conditioned. There are 2 blocks for classes and a separate block for labs. Separate girls and boys hostels are available with good infrastructure but poor quality food. There is a good canteen with food at reasonable prices.
Faculty: The faculty members lack the skillset required for the engineering graduates today and no focus on other things than academics. 20:1 might be the ratio of student-faculty today. The worst industrial exposure, no local visits to industries are provided. There is a lack of video teaching and practical exposure. Labs are available, but no practical work is done.
Other: Lots of extracurricular activities are conducted, but the extra money is taken from students only. The scholarships are provided for government quota students only.

This is the condition of average standard private engineering colleges.
Placements: The placements are happening. More students are getting placed in some local small-scale industries, i.e., a salary of Rs.10,000 per month. And, only a few got some good companies. That is the fate of such average standard engineering college. Their motive is to place the students for the minimum salary also. But, it depends on the situation.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi is provided for students. Only they charge the fee for that. Labs are somewhat average. Classrooms are average. The library is good, not bad. The medical facilities are the worst. Sports are the best. The hostel food is poor. Hostel rooms are not bad. There were some infrastructural issues. More canteens are here. It doesn't provide such quality food alike other reputed colleges. Overall, NAAC gave it B grade.
Faculty: There are the worst faculty members. They don't even have some basic knowledge to enhance a student's thoughts. Only Anna University syllabus is followed and is completed for the namesake. A few faculty members have great knowledge. And, their teaching is also better. Overall, the quality is below average because even my school teachers are better than the faculty here.
Other: Other cultural events are conducted in the college.

Good atmosphere and climate, bad quality of teaching, do not expect much.
Placements: We have a placement cell in our college.
But for mechanical engineering, the placements are less.
The maximum salary bagged from placement was Rs. 30,000 for a mech student. Many small-scale companies and some core companies, mainly from Coimbatore, are visiting our college. The number of students getting placements in mechanical engineering is minimal.
Infrastructure: The library on our campus is one of the best.
We are able to find most of the books in it.
Games and sports facilities are good.
Sports quotas are available.
Labs and dispensary are working well.
The classrooms and the lab contain all the equipment.
We have 2 small canteens and 2 large canteens.
We get most of the food in Keral and Tamilnadu style.
Some of the dishes are not worth it.
Faculty: The faculty members are fine.
There are some who are qualified but do not have good teaching skills.
In our department, one faculty member is angry at everyone.
The course curriculum is not bad but arrears can be there.
The faculty members are good in number in every department.
The course is not much difficult.
Other: The college campus is in a village area which is some kilometres from NH.
The hostel food is not good.
Fights occur in our college.
No election, no parties.
Only 2 days uniform in a week.
Only 2 Saturdays in a month are holidays.
The college functions are every boring because of the restrictions.
Most of functions end with a fight.

Other: Please do not join in this college. Nothing is good in this college. There are no any placements. Most of the faculties are not aware of the subject knowledge itself. If you join in this college, please don't count four years in your life. Campus facilities are below average and when talking about technical labs it doesn't have much apparatus.

I am satisfied with our faculty members and their teaching.
Placements: Top recruiters were Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Aqua Sub, etc. More than 70% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel food was not up to the mark. Wi-Fi was available. Labs were available. There was a separate building for the library. We could go to the library anytime between 8 AM and 5 PM.
Faculty: Teachers were friendly. The way of teaching was excellent.
Other: The location of the college is good and the climate is excellent.

Placements for mechanical engineering graduates vary across institutions but generally offer solid opportunities in sectors like automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure. Renowned companies such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, L&T, Bosch, and General Electric are common recruiters,
