The hard work of your two years: NIT Jamshedpur.
Placements: NIT Jamshedpur has a great record of placement. Presently, they guarantee 100% placement with some terms and conditions according to your academic performance in the program you are going for. Top recruiting companies include L&T Construction, TATA, ACC, BMW, Ford, and Maruti Suzuki. The highest package in Mechanical Engineering this year is 18 LPA and 5 LPA as the minimum.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good only for seniors. For the freshers, you will get Hostel I (very old), but it provides all the common facilities like Wi-Fi and lawns in every room. The mess facilities are present in every hostel. There are enough hostels for the accommodation of each and every student admitted here. There are labs for the respective departments, and LHC is the most generous part. It is the common place where you will visit regularly.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are highly helpful to you, but the curriculum of NIT JSR is the toughest among all NITs, and it is very tough to score 9 CGPA/SGPA without proper study, although CGPA matters in placement. The pass percentage of the college is approximately 96%.

The college is good for branches like CSE, ECE, and EE, and also has good placements.
Placements: There is approximately 80% of students placed, also with high packages like 83 LPA and with an average package of 1,600,000 for the ECE branch, and for other branches, it varies. Companies like Atlassian, Aditya Birla, and TCS are some companies with many students placed and interning.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good, with a very nice academic building, air-conditioned and comfortable seats with projectors and boards. Also, the library has AC, and with Wi-Fi on campus, there are good hostels with nice rooms and infrastructure, as well as a good location.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, highly qualified from top IITs, and have many years of experience. Also, there is a relevant curriculum with good subjects that help in the preparation of the GATE exam and also for placements somewhat. The semester exams are difficult, and the pass percentage is 33%.

All About NIT Jamshedpur by a 2nd year student.
Placements: Placements are pretty decent here. The average package offered for this course was 25LPA in the previous year with the highest of 83 LPA. Top Recruiters were Atlassian, Amazon etc. 30% students got internships in Computer Science department in the above companies. The roles offered in Computer Science are that of software engineer and data analyst.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent. The main lecture hall is awesome with all the facilities like Wi-Fi, projector, big classrooms and everything else. The hostels are nice with decent buildings. In this college, you get a single room from 2nd year onwards and a double sharing room in the first year.
Faculty: The faculty is similar to the other colleges. They don't care to teach, neither are the students interested in learning because the course structure is totally outdated and not useful. Their way of teaching is also horrible. The semester exams are not really tough, you can easily pass them with 1 week of efforts getting good grades.

Placements: Our college atmosphere is good. Placement of our college is number one. Around 70% of students got placed from our college. The highest salary package offered is 57 LPA from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur Jharkhand. RHI, Cisco, and many companies have visited.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure provided for our department are marvelous and attractive. Many facilities have been provided by the college. The quality of the facilities in our college is good. Hostel and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Course curriculum is relevant. There is the best transportation from the college to the station. NIT Jamshedpur in Jharkhand is the best.

Overall, good classrooms and hostel facilities are there.
Placements: Approximately 85% of students got placed every year. The highest package is about 45 LPA and the minimum is 5 LPA. Companies like Amdocs, Deloitte, Genpact, etc., mostly offer SDE, Backend Developer, ML Engineer, etc. Approximately 35% of students get internships every year in companies like those provided above.
Infrastructure: The hostel, lab, and library have both Wi-Fi facilities, as well as in the hostel. Each room has a LAN port available with fast internet connectivity. Food quality is average in the mess and in the canteen. Medical facilities are good. Also, there is a cafeteria on campus with decent food quality and average pricing.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experts in specific domains. There is the competitive experience between students to motivate each other to do more. Semester exams are moderate; if you study well, you can easily pass the exams. The minimum passing percentage is 35 in each subject.
Other: This course is awesome if you want to become a software engineer. You can get any kind of placement, which will be achievable after B.Tech. Campus conducts two major fests: Culfest and Ojass Tech Fest.

M.Sc. in Mathematics - Batch of 2023

Satisfied with the campus life having decent placements and good higher education.
Placements: Placements are quite decent for M.Sc. students. Generally, the companies invited are that of coaching institutes which may be a startup or a recognised institution. Overall, the average package of a selected candidate is around 7-8 LPA. It is also a decent college if you want to go for higher education.
Infrastructure: Hostel food was the worst, it won't be good in taste, if you are a North Indian, you will have to surrender to the food quality. The best thing was that you get allotted a single room in the hostel, but hygiene is not maintained in the rooms as well as in the washrooms. Infrastructure of our course is decent, they don't take much interest in it.
Faculty: It is not difficult to pass the exams of the semesters. The questions are made from within the syllabus. Faculty of the course is decent and not very good. If you want to pass the exams, it can be done by studying a night before the exams. Some of the teachers are good in nature while the rest take everything for granted.

Generally speaking, for a GATE score of 361, the chances for M.Tech in Structural Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur would depend on one's category admission and the cut-off marks for that specific year.

For a general category student the cut-off marks for Structural Engineering generally are quite high
