A pretty good campus life. But dissatisfied with the culture.

Placements: The placements in NIT Jamshedpur are pretty good, especially in the metallurgy branch. Mass hiring is done by most of the core companies; that's why the placement rates are good. Companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel, and JSL, JSPL—all these companies do mass hiring and give the decent package of 12-13 LPA. The average package varies from 12 to 15 LPA. Last year the placement rate in metallurgy was 100%. The job roles offered by the company are mainly of management. All these companies also offer i...

An honest review of NIT Jamshedpur.

Placements: There is too much good placement in CSE of NIT Jamshedpur. In our college, almost 85% of graduating students get placed every year. The average package offered is 18.00 LPA for the 2024 graduating batch. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, De Shaw, etc. In my course, almost 80% get placed in the 2024 year. Almost 25% got internship offers.

All About NIT Jamshedpur by a 2nd year student.

Placements: Placements are pretty decent here. The average package offered for this course was 25LPA in the previous year with the highest of 83 LPA. Top Recruiters were Atlassian, Amazon etc. 30% students got internships in Computer Science department in the above companies. The roles offered in Computer Science are that of software engineer and data analyst.

Average faculty with great campus placement.

Placements: In our previous batch, about 90% of students were placed. The highest package was 19 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA. Many companies come for recruitment, with Tata Steel and L&T being the most frequent recruiters. Around 60% of students get internships, with the most common position being GET.

Nostalgic NIT Jamshedpur.

Placements: Around 60%-70% of my college students were placed. The highest placement was provided by Rubrik, followed by Atlassian, Adobe, Amazon, Flipkart, Arcessium, etc. Talking about internships 40 to 45 of our batch students got internship opportunities under different companies.

Satisfied with the campus life having decent placements and good higher education.

Placements: Placements are quite decent for M.Sc. students. Generally, the companies invited are that of coaching institutes which may be a startup or a recognised institution. Overall, the average package of a selected candidate is around 7-8 LPA. It is also a decent college if you want to go for higher education.

Brief review of NIT Jamshedpur, Depth. Of ECE.

Placements: Roughly 95% of students got placed and more than 20 students got summer internships. The highest salary package offered is 83 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. However, the base pay in 83 LPA is 23 LPA. There are plenty of companies offering more than 20 LPA in base pay to final-year students. The stipend for summer interns varies between Rs. 40,000 per month - Rs. 1,04,000 per month. But most of them got a stipend of Rs. 40,000 per month. Around 5-6 students got a stipend of abov...

If you are just inclined towards decent placement, this would be a good college.

Placements: Only placements are available here. Till the end of the year, it will go around 90% placements in the CSE course. Placements are very good in ECE. Placements in electrical and other courses are decent. Students can expect a salary package of 6 LPA - 7 LPA if they are average among their branchmates, so they have to take care of it.

Faculty members are good. Placements are good, but one has to compromise with infrastructure.

Placements: The batch size of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering for placements is 120, and last year, we achieved 100% placement for all students. Top recruiters included Vedanta, ABG, and BlackRock. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA, and both the median and average salary package offered is 9 LPA.

Teachers are not satisfactory.

Placements: There are different placements in department branches and courses, but overall placement is 80% and above. In the Physics Department, the highest salary package is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package is 5 LPA. Companies like Allen, Unacademy, PW, Aakash, etc., are among the recruiters. In edtech companies, there is almost zero percent internship, but a summer internship program is held for various Institutes of Physics, allowing students to go there and complete their internships in Physics, te...

Placements: First of all, I am a civil engineering student in the NIT Jamshedpur 2027 batch. In 2024, 95 students registered, out of which 85 got placed. The highest package was 14.4 LPA, and the average package was 8.08 LPA, with the median being 6.50 LPA. Some of the major recruiting companies are L&T, ZS, JISCO, and Bank of India for the assistant manager post. NIT, Jamshedpur- Should I join or not?

Placements: Last year, around 95% of students were placed in the Mechanical Engineering course. Though I do not have a particular idea about the highest or the lowest package, the median was about 9 LPA. The companies that were recruiting were JSL, Accenture, ICICI, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, L&T, etc. The roles offered were data analyst, manager, and teaching roles, etc.

Placements: The best thing about this college is it's placements, even after being ranked low in NIRF it's placements are just exceptional. It is also a source of attraction for students to come to this college. So if you are planning to join this college don't worry about placements.

The highest package was 82 Lacs per annum and the average package was 12 Lacs per annum, which is considered very good. Placements: Above 85% of students are getting placed in my branch and some students who are left are preparing for the GATE exam or going for higher studies. Our college provides many companies like Tisco, Jusco, TCS, Wipro, Tata Motors, etc. Some companies are giving internship facilities that are tied up with our college.
