A college full of knowledge.

Placements: A lot of mechanical core companies visit the campus which includes certain big names like Maruti, L&T and Nestle. Out of the 140 students, almost every student gets a package whether it is a normal company (with a package of Rs. 3 lacs per annum to Rs. 4 lacs per annum) or a dream company (with a package of Rs. 5 LPA to Rs. 6 LPA). Overall, the placements for the mechanical students are good.

Smile, you are at NIT Kurukshetra.

Placements: The placements in this branch are more than average (70%). The highest package was offered by Samsung (18LPA), and the lowest package was 4.5 LPA. The average package, however, was 7.5 LPA. The companies like Oracle, Samsung, Microsoft, Amazon visited the college. Also, many B.A( business analysts ) like Mu Sigma, Deloitte(6.5LPA) and coaching institutes visit the college. Application developer job roles are provided. For an internship, few companies like Amazon take students from 3rd year. The ...

I'm happy with the college life & the administration.

Placements: There is plenty of room for everyone to be placed with good employers. CS & IT employers stay among the highest bidders each year. With several PSUs visiting alongside the IT firms & consultancies, there's a great opportunity to carve out a remarkable career in the coming years.

Improper administrative system, improper sewage system. these are the some defects in our college.

Placements: The placement for the civil engineering department was not so good for many years in our college. Almost 60% students got placements through the college. The highest package is around 7.5 lakhs and average package is 5 lakhs. L&T Construction, Infosys, EXL, etc. are the companies which are visited in our campus.Roles offered to the students are like management, instructor, etc. More than 50% students got the internship from the college.

I am happy with my college, but I often taking tension of placements due to having the EE branch.

Placements: There are very good placements. Approximately 75-80% students are placed in electrical. In computer engineering and IT, 95% students are placed. In electrical engineering, the average package is 6-7 lacs per annum. The highest package was offered last year, being 13 lacs in Indian Oil. For electrical engineering, there are many core companies which visited like Bajaj Motors, Maruti, Almostom, L@T and some good PSUs as well. Really good infrastructure. Very good placement every year.

Placements: Many companies came and took lots of students. Around 90% students are placed every year. This year, the highest salary offered till date is Rs. 24 LPA and the minimum is Rs. 9.6 LPA. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. came for placement. The percentage of students who got internships was around 70 percent. Companies are still coming for internship, so cannot tell the highest and lowest stipend.

Placements for CS & IT are very good here. In 2017, more than 70% students have got placed so far.

Placements: In mechanical, the placements are less as compared to computer science and information technology. But overall, the placements are good as compared to most of the engineering colleges in India. Almost 80% of the students are placed in our college. The highest salary is almost 1 crore and the lowest is 4-5 lacs.

NIT Kurukshetra - A basic guide

Placements: The placement in our college is pretty good for CS and IT students with each student securing up to 2 jobs at times. The other branches record a placement percent in the range of 65-90%. Major recruiters like Flipkart, Amazon, EXL Enterprises, L&T, TCS, etc. visit the campus. The highest package is about 25+ lakhs and the average hovers somewhere about 5.5-6.5 lakhs per person.

National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra review.

Placements: Placements are okayish. Placement season is dependent on industry trends which are hard to predict 4 years in advance. Computer science and information technology branches generally pull off better packages and best of the brands. Electronics also does well. Core branches like mechanical, electrical and civil entirely are dependent on industry demand.

Overall, the college is good, and can't regret the decision to take admissions here.

Placements: As per today’s requirement and the number of students completing engineering, the placement is quite good. I don’t know the exact amount, but I think the highest package was around 22 lakhs per annum in last year. Almost all the companies come to our college, and about the internship, it is quite hard.

Placements: Placements in mechanical engineering are quite good here. The average package goes around 5-6lakh. Many core companies come for placements and in the recent years, the placement scenario has been much better for mechanical. The highest salary offered was 15 lakh by Brahmos and the lowest one is around 3 lakh by consultancy firms.

Great as a college, OK as an NIT.

Placements: Placements are excellent when it comes to the CS and IT branches, even mechanical is good here. But as far as ECE is concerned, only a few core companies visit the campus, though you could still grab a 6 LPA coding or consultancy package by being decent in studies. About 75-80% students get placed usually. The highest package offered in ECE was 14 LPA and the lowest could possibly be from TCS at 3.5 LPA. One more thing, forget about internships if you are in ECE of this college. The internship o...

Placements: The placements of my seniors were quite nice. The latest batch i.e. 2016-17 was very nice in terms of placements. The highest package which I came to know is about 28 lakhs. The student who got this is from ECE branch. The average package is 7-8 lakhs. CSE, as usual, was the most highly paid branch. The curriculum is poor like in every engineering college. Good infrastructure and placements.

Placements: All the students are not eligible for placements due to backlogs and eligibility criteria of the companies. Around 70% students are eligible for placements. Out of them, 70% students of core branches and around 90% of CS/IT are placed. Major part of the crowd is placed in consultancies. The average package is around 5 lac for electrical, ECE and mechanical branches and 7 lacs for CS/IT.

Placements: It is almost 100%. All the eligible students get placed. The maximum package for batch 2013-2017 was 27 LPA and the minimum was around 3-4 LPA. Small to big many companies visited the campus for technical as well as consultant and management posts. Major companies were Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Fidelity, RBS, etc. 2-3 students got the internship in Google. Many companies visited for internships too.

Can't ask for a better college life as NIT Kurukshetra gave me everything I wanted.

Placements: Placement at NIT Kurukshetra is way better than other NITs( except old NITs) and private colleges. Good placements are because students work hard at the time of placements and the college has good alumni network. The average package varies from branch to branch, IT-CS always has the highest package as well as the highest average package among the 7 branches. 2 students bagged offer from Google with a package of more than 1 crore.
