NIT Puducherry MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
NIT Puducherry MTech is a postgraduate course offered by many departments. Through this full-time programme, the institute offers various specialisations, including Power Electronics, Computer Science, Design Engineering, VLSI Design and others. All of these courses are offered for a duration of two years. Other than this, the institute also offers an MTech Research course for students who wish to pursue a research-intensive course.
NIT Puducherry MTech admissions are carried out based on performance in the GATE exam followed by CCMT counselling. For vacant seats, the institute conducts a written test followed by an interview session. Moreover, admission is only possible when candidates meet the eligibility criteria:
- Eligibility: BE/BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate for Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates
- Selection: Written Test + Interview

The application portal for NIT Puducherry M.Tech is closed for 2024-25 admissions. The admission portal for the next academic year i.e., 2025-2026 is expected to open in the begining of 2025. NIT Puducherry MSc cutoff 2025 ranged from 1474 to 1690 during the last round for the General AI category. As per the last round cutoff for MSc specialisations, M.Sc. in Chemistry was the toughest to get admission to. For other specialisations and their cutoff, please refer to the table below.
