SAIL MT Recruitment Through GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check below the required eligibility for SAIL MT recruitment 2025 through GATE;

Educational Qualification:

• Qualifying Degree: Candidate must have completed full-time B. Tech degree in any of the eight branches; Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumental, Mechanical and  Metallurgical.
• Pass Percentage: General and OBC (NCL) category - minimum 65% aggregate marks and SC/ ST and PwD category -  minimum 55% aggregate marks
• Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the General category candidates is 28 years. Date of birth should not be earlier than July 25, 1996.( Age Relaxation; OBC- 3 yrs, SC/ST - 5 yrs, PwbD - 10 yrs)

Medical standards:

• Candidates must be of sound physique
• Candidates must be free from any physical defect
• Minimum requirements of Weight 45 kg
• Minimum requirements of Height 155 cm
• Myopia and Hypermetropia, if any, not to exceed ± 4.00 in each eye
• No squint or colour blindness, partial or full

SAIL MTT Recruitment through GATE 2025 - Selection Process

Candidates can read below the complete selection process and details of the selection stages;

• Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on GATE 2025 scores/ranks.
• After this, there will be the next round of personal interviews. Candidates will be shortlisted for GD/ Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:12 for each discipline.
• Candidates must carry all the original documents (degrees and mark sheets) for the PI/GD round.
• If a candidate qualifies for the personal interview round, he/she must meet the required medical parameters as laid down by SAIL.
• The final selection will be based on a merit list prepared based on the merits given below.

SAIL Recruitment of MT (Technical) through GATE 2025 - Salary & Benefits

• Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.60,000 – 1,80,000/- at the Basic Pay of Rs.60,000/- during one-year training cum probation as Management Trainee in E-1 grade. On successful completion of their Training cum Probation Period, they will be absorbed in the same Pay Scale of Rs.60,000 – 1,80,000/- in E-1 grade as Assistant Manager.
• Pay and Allowances: Basic Pay as applicable in the grade, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) at the applicable rates and perks & allowances under the cafeteria approach.
• Variable Pay: Performance-related Related Pay based on individual and organizational performance.
• Other Benefits: Company Accommodation / Leased Accommodation / HRA, medical facility, group insurance, etc.
• Superannuation Benefits: Besides Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity and Pension, employees who superannuate from GAIL after rendering a minimum of 15 years of service will also be entitled to Post-Retirement Medical Benefits.
