NIT Raipur offers various courses such as BTech, MTech, MSc, MCA and MA. Admission to these programmes are entrance-based. For admission to the BTech programme the aspiring candidates need to have class 12 degree with a minimum of 75%. The other courses offers needs the candidates to clear other entrance exams i.e., GATE for MTech, JEE for BTech, NIMCET for MCA, IIT JAM for MSc.

BTech Admission to the NIT Raipur is based on JEE scores. It is not possible for a candidate to get enrolled in the BTech course without clearing the cut-off of the JEE Main entrance exam. In addition to this the candidates also have to make sure they secure 75% in class 12 to be eligible for the BTech programme. Seats are allocated to students through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA).

 

For the selection process, eligible candidates who submit the applications and secure a good score in IIT JAM are shortlisted for further admission rounds. A cutoff for CCMN Counselling is then announced, based on which candidates have to appear for counselling to secure a seat.
