The quality of teaching is low, but the resources are good.

Placements: Placements in our college were good for our seniors. I don't know exactly, but it is more than 70%. The lowest salary package offered was 4-5 LPA, don't have much idea about other salary packages. Companies like Delloite, Musigma, Wipro, etc., visited our campus for placements. Few percentages of students got internships. The stipend offered was Rs.30,000 per month. There is a placement cell in our college.

I'm satisfied because of faculty and infrastructure. I hope the placement rate will increase.

Placements: Placements in our college were average for our senior batch. Since I'm in the third-year, placements for our batch are not yet conducted. I expect good placements this time. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Generally, L&T visits our college for placements.

I am not much satisfied, but my overall college life was good.

Placements: Placements for my batch and also our senior batch were not up to the mark. From my batch, only 6 students were placed in a core metallurgy company named Vedanta while few people were placed in IT companies, and the majority of the batch remained unplaced. Few students got placed in core companies but through GATE or off-campus placements. During summer internships, no student has got any stipend as per knowledge.

I lost my interest in the midway of my course as some faculty are biased.

Placements: The companies that visited our campus hired students in great numbers. Almost all the students get placed here. However, the salary packages offered are very low here. Students get a salary package of only 5-6 LPA. This is a major issue in our college. This year a lot of students got placed from the computer science department when compared to others.

Satisfied with NIT, Raipur.

Placements: The placement scenario in our college is average. From my experience, I can tell you that if you are among the top 30 or you have done extraordinary work in your field of interest, you are most likely to be placed. Field of interest may include robotics, data analytics, etc.

The infrastructure is good, but the faculty are dissatisfactory. We have to find jobs on our own.

Placements: The placement cell in our college is very good. We get a lot of support from our conveners and faculty members. Facilities in the placement cell are updated. We are provided with lots of opportunities, and they encourage the students to participate in every possible activity. The quality and the number of companies that are visiting the college are decreasing.

Placements are decent, campus is average, and the infrastructure is poor.

Placements: This year, the placements in NIT Raipur are up to the expectation. Core companies are not coming to the college to recruit for the last few years. According to the companies, the reason for this is that the students didn't have required technical knowledge. Placements provided in the software field are decent, but apart from a few exceptional students, they don't get high packages. The average package offered in the software field is about 5.5 LPA this year.

Prefer some good private college over this college.

Placements: Placements for the electrical branch are not that good. Mostly IT companies come for placements. As Chhattisgarh is a mineral rich state, placements for mining and metallurgical are good. CS and IT also get good placements, and electrical students here mainly focus on GATE. Around 50% of students get placements.

In 2015, the placements were decent.

Placements: The placement percentage of computer science, information technology, and electronics telecommunication branches was nearly 100%, and it was great. For core branches like electrical, mechanical, and civil, the placement percentage varied between 60% to 70%. Companies like TCS, Infosys, L&T, Wipro, Jindal Stainless Steel, Tata Motors, Bharti Infratel, Oracle Financial, Yodlee, CIL, etc., visited our campus for placements.

This year the placement for chemical engineering. Are awesome and broken all past year records.

Review of NIT Raipur, still a long way to go before it establishes itself as a premier institution.

Placements: The college has its training and placement cell in the college. It does help the students to some extent for the placements. The placement here is different for different branches. Branches like computer science, IT, and electrical get almost 100% placements, but the core branches like mechanical, chemical, civil, etc., have about 40-50% placements in the college.

Good in extracurricular activities, old infrastructure, no ragging, faculty vary with a department.

Placements: The placements have been decreasing year by year. Earlier, mechanical engineering placement at NIT, Raipur used to be good enough, but now a few (but still good companies) come for campus recruitment. Last year, 40 out of 92 students got placed. Records in placements are good with almost 70% of the placement with average package being around 8 LPA.

Nice college with moderate infrastructure but with lack of permanent facilities.

Placements: Depending upon the situation of industry during the placement year and it varies from batch to batch. During 2012, the placements in mining were nice, and from then placement trend changed. Although analytics and software companies are there, placement in core branch varies with the situation of the industry.

I am dissatisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: We have good placements this year. More than 50 students were placed out of 90. We have around 7 good core companies that visit the college. Compared to last year, we have better placements this year. Average package offered is around 6 LPA. The roles offered were business analysts, etc. We got a low percentage of students who got the internships. We have good placement cell which was constructed a year ago.

Somewhat dissatisfied with the faculty, rest is good.

Placements: The placements will be given to almost all the members of CSE branch. There will be pre placements in the 3rd year in which the companies which come for interns will give the pre-placements offers. The highest salary was 17 lac per annum. Companies such as Oracle, JP Morgan, etc. visits.

National Institute of Technology Review based on 2018.

Placements: The placement of the institute is very good. Around 30-40 companies visit campus every year for campus recruitment. The placement percentage is also very good, around 70-80%. Most companies are software based which includes OFSS, HP, Polaris, Infosys, cognizant which are mass recruiters. Also there are some companies which offer high package around 10 LPA like YODLEE, PSUs also visit which offers above 10 LPA like coal India.

Placements: The placements in biotechnology branch are not much satisfactory because many biotechnology companies did not come here to uptake the candidates, but various chemical and pharmaceutical companies like Vedanta and ONGC visited and provided good packages.

Satisfied with the teaching, but very poor in sports, medical facilities and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are improved from previous years but standard in teaching (interaction between teachers and students) is very poor. There are very good placements for core branches, but the basic salary should be increased. And, very good seminars with many good personalities are organised. Satisfied with the improvement from last years.

Placements: The placements are good enough. Most of the people from top branches are being placed. The salary package is also quite good, and many different and top companies come here to take students. The placement building is good and overall placements are good enough in this college.
