NIT Srinagar Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Core branches have good placements with good packages especially in mechanical. CSC and IT also have good placements, but packages are low. PSU gives package 10 LPA. The branches like metallurgy and chemical have very poor placement. One must prefer mechanical in NIT Srinagar.

Placements: The placements offered are pretty good for the branches mechanical (the best campus placements), computer science, electronics, and information technology (most of the students are placed with the moderate annual package). Overall, the average packages are offered to most of the students.

Placements: The placements offered were good, but not 100%. If you do well then for sure, the placements were offered. The percentage is around 30% for chemical engineering. A CGPA of 6.5 is must for sitting in an interview of different companies visiting the campus. Major recruitment is in coaching institute like aakash, resonance, etc.

Placements: Well, the placements are good for most of the branches except for chemical, civil and metallurgy but sometimes they do get placed in PSUs like ONGC and HPCL with a better package than most of us. Placements: As per placement perspective, NIT, Srinagar has its unique glory. Because of well-establishment, it has the balanced number of placements every year in the reputed companies including some PSU's like IOCL, HPCL, etc. Besides this, the core public sector companies like MSIL, Tata Motors, Mahindra Ltd, and Vedanta come to the college.

Placements: My batch is not yet placed, but the senior batch is placed well. Almost 70% of my branch was placed. The highest package offered was 14 lacs per annum, and the lowest was 3.7 lacs per annum, whereas, the average package was 5 lacs per annum. Placements: The placement of NIT, Sri Nagar is good, for 2017 pass outs. There have been more than 80% placements. The highest package offered is about 10 LPA, and the lowest is about 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The college has an active placement cell which is wholly responsible for the placement and internship of the students. Placements: Placements offered by the companies in NIT Srinagar are Oil, NTPC, Tata, Grid, Honda Motors, Power Grid, Wipro, Satyam Computers, Mahendra, Simplex, NHPC, Ircon and Alstom. Mostly, the placements are offered to computer science engineering, then after electronics and communication engineering. The placements for mechanical, electronics, civil and electrical engineering are also well. Most of my senior batches have also qualified the national entrance exam GATE.

Placements: Placements are not up to the mark. I will say 40% students got campus recruitment with an average package of 450000. Overall, the placements are average. Due to the unrest in 2016 in the valley, the placements were very low but this year, there was a bit of an improvement. The college doesn't provide a good way for internships and also, the branches like chemical and metallurgy have a very low placement ratio.

Placements: The placements in the college start in the 7th semester mainly. Few companies offering rolls have also visited. Mainly the companies related to the computer and the IT sectors only come for the placements. These companies demand programming skills from students and take students from all branches. Decent packages are offered to students. More companies are yet to come in the spring session of the college. The companies related to all branches come except the civil branch.

Placements: MNC's, IT related and all the different types of companies including government PSU's recruit the candidates from this college. The placement procedure is transparent and well-informed to the students. Everything is systematic and done in an orderly way. Almost those who have eligibility to participate in the campus recruitment gets placed before they complete their graduation from this college.

Placements: Placements are good for computer, Enc, electrical but not that good for civil and mechanical as very few are placed in these streams whereas most of the students of computer and electronics are placed in reputed companies across the country and abroad.

Placements: At NIT, Srinagar if you are from Jammu and Kashmir and pursue in mechanical or electrical engineering stream then you have chances to get placed in PSUs without having good GATE score. At NIT, Srinagar, PSUs shortlist the students by the pointer. For the other branches like CSE, ECE and IT, the placement record is good. Just try to keep the CGPA high (although that is not the only criteria), and one can surely get recruited in reputed organisations, be it any branch you are from.

Placements: It has almost 100% placement record. The highest package till now is 72 lacs. There are some rumours that in the college companies do not come but those are fake rumours. All the companies from India as well as foreign companies come. This year in 2017, Adobe also came as there is news of placements in India.
