It has the great infrastructure and average placements.

Placements: Last year, the placements of MBA were not up to the mark, but this year, for my batch 2016-2018, the placements are better, and the companies are coming in with packages ranging from 6 lpa to 14 lpa. Basically, the placements start from the end of October till March in the final year. The roles offered are a market researcher, product developer, etc. Internships in MBA have to arranged by the students themselves, so the stipend ranged from 5,000 to 20,000 per month. But, the B.Tech students were...

For the computer science and the IT, an average package offered is about 13 LPA, and the highest is about 36 LPA, while the lowest was about Rs. 7 LPA. NITK Surathkal is the cultural and historical college since 1960.

Placements: The placement cell is very attractive one. As per my knowledge, last year the highest salary package is of 16 lakhs per annum, And it is not necessary that mining people should attend for mining engineering industries They can attend for other software, mechanical companies too. So this year 33 people got placed in Vedanta group of companies.

Placements: Don't expect placements to be like that of a regular B-school. From our batch, 30% got placed. The maximum package was 7.5 lakhs and the minimum was 3.5 lakhs. No help from the faculty or any department for placement. Many of my classmates got a job through pool drives, where the NITK brand gives an advantage.

Placements: As I heard from my seniors or faculty member, overall, the placement is good. I don't know the exact amount of the highest package but it is near about ten lakhs. The average package is 6 lakhs per annum. Here we can get government jobs as well. Many companies come including private and government companies offering a job to students.
