Absolutely good college for youngsters to get shaped as well as in terms of placements

Placements: Placement is very good. Almost, 250 companies have come and offered a minimum package of 6 LPA, an average package offered was of 10 LPA and the maximum goes to 40 LPA.

Lucky to be at NITK. Decent placements in 2016.

Placements: Placement of mechanical B.Tech is good relative to other engineering colleges. Last year 90% of the students were placed. This year as on 28th Jan, 62% (90 of 145) of mechanical students are placed. Mechanical core companies do not offer great packages as everyone knows. But 2 mechanical students (who were interested in coding and with some good aptitude) got placed in Oracle with 22 lacks per annum. Coming to average package, it is about 6L. Lowest is 3.5L. Core mechanical companies which visit...

Live an awesome college life and be the best at NIT-K.

Placements: Placement scenario at NITK Surathkal is pretty decent. Almost 85% to 90% students get placed every year. This is because some of them choose to go for higher studies, otherwise, it would have been around 90% to 95%. Highest salary offered is around 35 LPA and lowest is 3.5 LPA, but the average lies around 8-9 LPA. Around 250-300 companies visits every year to the campus which includes big companies like Microsoft, Directi, Google, Goldman Sachs etc to small companies like Mu-sigma, TCS, Accentu...

NIT-K - it is fun with an ocean of opportunities.

Placements: Placements were pretty normal in case of core mining jobs. But overall, minimum 85% in the mining batch will get placed for sure and without any doubt, as some students' interest would vary from mining to an analyst, finance, software. Well, I also got placed in an IT job at the end of my B.Tech, after completion and within 1.5 months.

The best NIT to go to for graduation.

Placements: The college has a great placement cell and 100 percent of the batch got placed. Companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, D.E Shaw, Paypal, NTPC, BPCL, ONGC and many others came up for placements. The highest package offered was 1 lakh 14 thousand dollars and the average package was around 7-8 lakhs.

A place where students are better than the professors.

Placements: Top notch tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Intuit, Flipkart and Goldman Sachs come to the campus every year. Most of these companies hire around 10 students every year. In a batch of 2016, the highest package was 20 lakhs. Note that this is the actual benefit (including cash in hand and stocks) offered. Some companies like Amazon claims their CTC to be 27 lakhs. However, on deeper inspection, they just have weird stock vesting policy that spans 4 years. Accounting for all that, 20 lakh is ...

NITK - The best place after few IITs to do your graudation from.

Placements: For Mechanical Engineering students, placements are good as compared to other mechanical students in the state or compared to any other NITs. Most of the automobile companies like Bajaj, Robert Bosch, Tata Motors, Maruti, Hero, Diamler, Volvo, Mercedes - Benz (For M.Tech) etc., had come with an average package of 6 lakhs per annum. Roles are mostly GETs. Few other pharmaceutical companies like Glenn, Dr.Reddy's etc, had come with a package of 7 lakhs per annum. Internships are mostly research ...

A great institute with good people around you

Placements: As Bangalore is very well-developed and many companies are situated in Bangalore, NITK is preferred from the engineering colleges in Karnataka as their priority, so many companies around and in Bangalore visit NITK, and the strong alumni of NITK also get good companies. It gets around 280 companies and the highest package offered is 30lakhs and the average is 7.5 lakhs.

Placements: Placements for Electronics and Communication are quite good. Samsung, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, SanDisk and ARM all come for core electronics placements. The highest salary offered was 16 LPA, and the lowest around 8 LPA for top companies. Students were offered a variety of roles and profiles, including analog, digital, signal processing, and embedded profiles. NITK - for those who miss the top IIT.

Placements: The placements at NITK are very good. It is just a semester up and already around 230-240 companies have registered at the training and placement department. Around 80-85% of the students get placed, excluding those who get an off-campus placement and those who choose higher studies. The average salary is 5-6 LPA for non-IT/non-CS branches, while it is around 8-9 LPA for IT/CS students. The highest salary is 38 LPA, lowest being 4 LPA. Overall, satisfied with the facilities.

Placements: Approximately 90% of the students across all branches get placed here. Currently from my batch, more than 50% people are placed. The placement for B.Tech is better than that for M.Tech or MCA courses. I got placed in Alstom Transport. The selection process is simple, as usually a written test is conducted followed by a GD and then the personal interview.

The college is well equipped with all the facilities. Food is tolerable. The gym is awesome but crowded. The faculty is experienced and helpful. Diversity is very extensive and you will never feel homesick. Weather is extremely rainy in the odd semester and the even semester promises a lot of dry heat. Placements are really awesome.

Placements are the main attraction here. The ranking has always been nice. The full campus is Wi-Fi. enabled So, that's a really awesome thing. The food was not up to the mark before but became really good since this year. The Odd semester has full on rains and the even semester has full on dry heat. The umbrella is a must. The faculty and infrastructure are old but good. The campus has a private beach which is a really exclusive thing in our country.

The faculty is very experienced and the infrastructure is tolerable. The weather is always nice. Access to basic facilities is available. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The crowd here is diverse and friendly. Carrying an umbrella is always necessary because of the constant rainfall in the odd semester.

This is one of the best institutes with an affordable tuition fee (2, 10,000 INR for the entire course duration including hostel and mess fees). The faculty-student ratio is one of the best in India. Placement for MBA is more than 90% and the average package was 4.5 LPA for 2013-15 batch. Bosch, Practo, Oracle, Axis, VMware, Volvo, Dell, etc. are the recruiters. I would recommend this college to everyone.

The campus facilities and mess food are not so good. The average package for companies would be around rupees 7 lakhs per annum.
