The college is absolutely good, but the placements need to be improved.
Placements: Placements in this college are average. In the mechanical department, 40% of the students got placed. The highest package offered is up to 10 LPA, and the lowest package offered is up to 2 LPA. Kia, Tata and many other companies offered placements. Around 30% of the students got internships. Top roles, like designing manager are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Classrooms are good. The college is near to the main road, so transportation is easy. Labs are well-equipped and maintained, but the lab in-charge needs to check it properly. Hostels are average for the students to stay, and food quality needs to be improved.
Faculty: Professors are good and very friendly with students. They are knowledgeable and very experienced in their field. It is easy to gain knowledge from them. They put in efforts to make students industry-ready. The management has to pay them regularly.
Other: Many functions Zero G, Symposium, etc., are organised in the college.

I am dissatisfied, and it is a waste of studying here.
Placements: Almost students got placed but only in BPO or apprentice. The salary package offered is under 1.5 LPA. The top recruiting company of our college is SUSPA Pneumatics, and it is for an apprentice role. In our course, the salary package offered is 1.1 LPA for 15 students. None of the students got an internship.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our college are moderate, and the infrastructure is also not well. There are no proper labs for all departments. The hostel is the worst. There is no proper maintenance and no regular water supply, and even drinking water is also not available. The canteen served the worst food even after paying Rs. 70,000 per annum.
Faculty: There were many excellent professors and lecturers in our college, but due to no payment of staff members for more than 6 months, every excellent staff member left the college. The course curriculum is not relevant, and they are not made in any sense to make students ready for the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to pursue an MA. The wish the college to improve study materials and good teaching. There is a moderate campus for events and fests.

Placements: Above 60% of the students from our course were placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month, while the lowest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. Top recruiters for our course are Tata Motors, Kia Motors, Worksbot and other core companies. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 1,00,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month. About 50% of the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure, Wi-Fi facility and also good food. Our hostel serves good food, accommodation and medical facilities. In our hostel, bathrooms and rooms are in good condition. There are also good transport facilities, and our college is good in terms of sports and games.
Faculty: Our college teachers are well qualified, talented and good knowledgeable. Our college education system is good, and our college conducts many functions, cultural activities, events, sports days, college day and also hostel day, farewell days, etc. Our college has well built, and in our course, good level of education is provided. Our college conducts many symposiums.
Other: I chose this course because I like this course, and it has many job opportunities.

Really good faculty for guiding students - Mechanical engineering.
Placements: Moderate placement but we got campus for our core company suspa pneumatics in which it is a satisfactory as they took 25 students from our department but overall placement is being conducted in a responsible manner in which Zoho, TCS, Sutherland, Amazon, Hinduja groups Visited. Here there is no limitations for students they can attend any campus placement drive there is no constrain in which one can only give one or two drives. The placement coordinator will be appointment from the side of students and faculty where they will be the key guide for the placements.
Infrastructure: The first year block is separate along with the administrative office, when you enter in to the department from 2nd year to final year there is a separate block and for mechanical every lab facilities is being provided In additional to this there is Techno park for CSE and IT students and inside the campus there is a private canteen and college canteen separately.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in classes and especially in projects the guide will play an important role for supporting the project along with the students as well have both Mini and main projects in 3 and 4th year we need to sincerely thank our professor for guiding us. Here only board teaching method is used, software labs are teached sincerely by faculty. The course is need to be improved.
Other: Pongal celebration, women's day celebration, onam celebration, Excalibur - Mechanical engineering association, IIPT - mechanical engineering association, All games are played, interzone champions are from the game Hockey, So sad there is no indoor court for Badminton but we can have a slight indoor feeling as there is walls surrounding the court.

Not a best place to explore things.
Placements: The placement of the college is very poor in my stream for the past 3 years. No student in my stream was placed, but about 30 percent were placed overall. The salary offered on those recruitments is only up to 2.5 LPA. The companies like KPIT, Sutherland, etc. visited the college and roles were offered. About 10 to 15 percent of the students were offered internships from the college, and the stipend was very low at only Rs.10,000.
Infrastructure: The college is on the outskirts of the city and does not have a big campus. The college has no good lab facilities, and auditorium only the computer lab is decent. The quality of food is okay. There is a KR bakes inside the college. The general hostel is very bad, and NRI hostel is okay. There is not even enough supply of drinking water in the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are good in teaching, and they are qualified to teach for B.E and B.Tech students because the college will hire faculty members only if they have completed M.Tech/MS/ PhD. They will make the students get better knowledge practically than theory. They usually teach theoretical portions of lectures. They use the blackboard to draw figures or to write some important points and also use the projector to show some important things. They give assignments, presentations and conduct some quizzes or small tests for evaluation of students in various subjects. They will help to do mini-projects in every semester, to attend workshops in other colleges, and to present the paper in symposiums and journals. They will explain about industries related to the course to get a better opinion/knowledge before we enter the industry.

Is it worth pursuing B.E./B.Tech at PCET Coimbatore?

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

* Placement Records: Only around 1% of students get placed, with the highest package being INR2 LPA and the lowest being INR1 LPA. Most students who get placed end up working in startups or BPO jobs. Only 20% of students get internships.
* Infrastructure: The college lacks basic amenities like WiFi, cleanliness, and proper maintenance. Hostel facilities are also subpar, with complaints about food quality and unhygienic conditions.

* Student Life: Students complain about the college not supporting sports and games, and there's limited recreational activity within the college premises.
* Fee Structure: While the fee is relatively affordable, students feel it's not justified considering the lack of resources and teaching quality.

Considering these factors, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons before deciding whether to pursue a degree at PCET Coimbatore. Here are some potential red flags to consider:
