BE it student review 2019 - 2022.

Placements: Close campus placements aren't many; most of the opportunities are through pool campus and open campus drives. The Training and Placement Cell is helpful but needs improvement. Eligibility and the package offered depend on the level of the company. The average offered package is between 2.8 LPA and 3.5 LPA yearly.

Infrastructure: As per my view, the only drawbacks in the infrastructure are the poor parking facilities (especially during the rainy season) and the cafeteria. Other than this, everything in the infrastructure is good, including well-equipped computer and other labs, the library, classrooms, washrooms on each floor for both genders, and drinking water on every floor.

Faculty: Faculty members are really good with understanding and helpful natures (both teaching and non-teaching staff). The teaching quality is impressive. Almost all staff members are postgraduates, with some pursuing or having completed their Ph.D. The staff have good knowledge and teaching skills.

Other: I was sure about the field, and the reason for choosing this college was my elder siblings; they were ex-students of this college, so I knew I would get what I was looking for here. I joined as a direct 2nd-year student in 2019. I took admission in the IT department in BE under the General category. My yearly college fees were 60,000, and with EBC concession, it was 30,000 yearly.

I am not satisfied with sports facilities of this college.

Placements: Almost 5-10% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered ranges between 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 2 LPA - 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Accenture, TCS, etc. Around 10-20% of students got internships in this course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average on our campus. Boys' hostel is not available in this college. Playground is not available. Canteen is average in this college. Laboratory is decent but the equipment is not up to mark. Computer laboratories are available.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They always clarify our doubts. All faculty members are supportive and helpful. The teaching quality is great. Semester exams are conducted as per schedule.

Placements: Our college requires a minimum of 60+ percentile to get admission in the Computer Science and Engineering course. The top recruiting companies for our college are HCL, Capgemini, TCS, etc. The top roles offered by our college are Software Developer, Graduate Engineering Trainee, Web Developer, .NET Developer, etc. The highest package offered in 2024 was 15 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. There is no percentage criteria for internships in our college; the companies providing internships arrange the tests, and we have to clear them.

Infrastructure: We have a computer lab, library, sports room, canteen, garden, and digital classroom facilities. Our college does not provide hostel facilities. The canteen food quality is good, and they maintain hygiene. Our college also provides medical facilities like first aid treatment, and there is a sports room for indoor games and a big ground for outdoor games.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful; they always guide us and show the right path for our bright future. Every month, we arrange tech activities to make the campus students active and industry-ready. Our college is university-based, so all our semester exams are held by Nagpur University, and the pass percentage is 45%.

Other: I want to be a software engineer; that’s why I chose the Computer Science course. The latest technology syllabus in our college ensures we are always updated in tech competition. Our college is very active in arranging events like curricular events, tech events, etc.

I'm satisfied with this college.

Placements: It is the best college for placements with great staff members. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Persistent, and many more visit our college to offer placements. The salary package offered is 9 LPA and the minimum salary package is 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: Library and Wi-Fi are good. Classrooms are spacious. Teachers support students to take part in sports activities with a supportive sports instructor. Medical facilities are available in our college. Canteen is good and hygienic. It serves all the snacks at reasonable prices.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly experienced and helpful. All the topics are taught very systematically and coding-related topics are taught practically by the teachers. Exams are very easy to pass with good percentages.

Other: I chose computer science because it is a great branch to study as there is more demand in the future for digital technology. Events held in our college are very good. All the students get a chance to participate and learn new things.

I suggest you choose this college only if you want to study.

Placements: I am a student of the 2021 batch of computer science and engineering. There were more than 70 students in our class. Only 4 students out of them got placed, and even they got them through off-campus. The highest salary package offered is approximately 4 LPA, which is provided by Persistent Systems. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA, but I don't know the name of the company which offered it. The training and placement cell is available only for the namesake. In the last 4 years, I haven't seen any placement officer.

Infrastructure: Our college doesn't provide any hostel. The canteen is just like a small shop where you can get only the samosa. I never heard about medical facilities in our college. Our college staff members emphasise only academics and do not even consider sports. We got the Wi-Fi, but no one knows the password. There is a library, but students generally are not allowed into it. Labs and classrooms are good.

Faculty: Our college is great in terms of academics. Teachers here are good in academics, and they are very helpful. In the CSE department, some teachers are quite knowledgeable. As the course is decided by the RTMNU, it is very old and irrelevant. This course doesn't really make you industry-ready. The exams are very poor here, but it seems like they intentionally fail students as many students failed but got passed after rechecking. The minimum passing percentage is 40%.

Other: The fee is very reasonable here compared to other engineering colleges in Nagpur. Our college just needs to change the way of teaching and focus on other curricular activities, along with studies.
