Manav Rachna University goes beyond academics to focus on the holistic development of its students.
Placements: At least 75-85% of students got jobs from placements. The highest package offered to a student from an MNC was about 55 LPA, and the lowest package was 8 LPA. The average package offered to us is 10-12 LPA, and all the students got internships from my course. The top role offered in my course is Senior Head of Software Development.
Infrastructure: We got almost everything in our college that is required for our course. We have every lab for every course, and we have free Wi-Fi for students, which connects through their roll number. We got smart boards and smart classrooms, and we have at least 10 restaurants in our college, and all of them are the best.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. graduates, and they are highly knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is very relevant; it makes us face the daily problems we encounter in life. We have very intellectual classes, and they have a very strict syllabus for every semester exam. The percentage of passed students is very high; almost 90% of students pass.
Other: My course is very demanding in the market right now, and I like it too. It motivates me to do different things related to my course, like joining an internship and learning their ways of earning money. In my course, there are a few things that could get better, and if those things improve, the course will be complete and fine. However, if all the students choose the same course, other courses should not be neglected. We need to give attention to every field to provide equal opportunities for our country to grow.

MR College is not so good.
Placements: Currently, around 20%-25% of students got placed from our batch. The maximum salary package offered is 7 LPA and the minimum salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. From our class till now, 5-7 students are placed and some would go for higher studies, family business, and other things.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best among all colleges in Faridabad. They provide Wi-Fi, which does not work efficiently in every corner. There are many canteens in different places on campus. There is a food court that has dominos. There are also subways, a sports complex, and a shooting range.
Faculty: Faculty members are worst. They are not helpful, but rude, and arrogant. They deliberately try to detain and fail students, so that they can earn money from PSC and reappear exam fees. PSC fees are very high i.e., Rs. 5,000 per subject, and reappear fee which is Rs. 2,000 per subject, which is not at all affordable.
Other: Course is good, as in the future there will be more jobs in this field, and artificial intelligence is used almost every day.

Good ROI for a private college, dissatisfied by the crowd.
Placements: Almost 100% students are placed with the companies who sit for the campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, etc. visit for recruiting candidates. The CGPA to be maintained to sit for placements is 6.5, although some good companies may have their own cutoff. The average package in CSE is 8-9 LPA and the highest being 57 LPA is pretty solid for a private college.
Infrastructure: Libraries, labs, and classrooms are very well structured and maintained, the campus is very beautiful and full of greenery. The 2-seater hostels are also very comfortable and worth living in, but the hostel fees are too high (₹218,500 for one year for AC). The mess food is very bad, distasteful, and repetitive, which is a big minus point.
Faculty: Maximum faculty are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are also helpful if you have some genuine reason to not attend college, they even re-explain the topic sometimes if you genuinely want to study. There are 3 exams in one semester (2 midsems and one endsem). Midsems of 30 marks are extremely easy as maximum questions are from pre-given assignments, the endsem might be comparatively harder, but studying can fetch good marks.
Other: I had a lot of curiosity in data science and recommendation algorithms, thus I chose this course. It is also one of the most well-doing in the job field in this college as the highest package is from this course itself. The coding culture in the college is not that good but startup culture is very much there, even the college funds ₹2.5 lac rupees if they find the idea to be doing good in the industry. Only one fest is conducted every year around October (Resurrection).

Average college in every field such as infrastructure, placement, and events, etc.
Placements: The highest package of this college is 55 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. TCS, Accenture, IBM, HCL are the top recruiters. 90 percent of CSE students got internships from Microsoft and IBM. The university offers internships and industry projects every semester.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi is available in every block. There are smart classes, but the lab condition is not good. Some classrooms are not in good condition. There are two libraries: one is central, and the other is a small library.
Faculty: Faculty are very well-qualified. The teaching quality is average but not for all faculty. Some faculty teach very practically. The semester exam is very easy. There are two sessional exams and one end-semester exam. Just revise the assignment questions and previous year papers, and you can score better marks.
Other: There is an event every week. Last month, there was a fest, and the singer was Akhil Sachdeva. They give scholarships based on JEE Main scores. If you score good marks, you get a good scholarship.

Satisfaction with placements for average student.
Placements: I am telling the placement scenario from my batch. We were 324 grades in 2022 in computer science engineering where almost everyone was placed. But the ratio of the 2023 passed-out batch was slightly lower than us. The average package offered in 2022 was 4 LPA, which was obvious IT standard. The highest was 10 LPA in sales profile by Byju's.
Infrastructure: No doubt, infrastructure was good enough to enjoy 4 years of graduation. A canteen was there to hang out. Classrooms were fully air-conditioned. Stationery was there. Labs were okay, but the IoT Lab was awesome, and you can achieve there a lot. Medical facility was sponsored by Sarvodaya.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified with Ph.D. The course curriculum was designed specifically for the lower and average students. It's not difficult to pass the exams. Sometimes teachers did favors to pass the students with no backlogs. Attendance was 75% mandatory for everyone, but you can get grace with 65% of attendance.
Other: I chose this college because I didn't qualify for JEE, so there was no option for me, but this college was worth enough for my college.

Outdated and irrelevant engineering curriculum.
Placements: Placement record was around 80-85% in Manav Rachna University and mostly everyone got placed on onsite placement drive. The issue was with the quality of the jobs offered and the salary packages. The average salary offered for engineering students was 4.2 LPA and the highest reaching 10.5 LPA. Companies like HCL, coforge private limited, Amadeus solutions, TCS come for placement drives. I got an offer to join coforge as a technical analyst with a probation period of 3 months. The stipend offered during probation was 15000 and after that a salary of 4.3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Library at Manav is the main attraction of the entire campus. It is a world class library and has all kinds of reading material from fiction, None fiction to curriculum related books. Also the library is open 24/7 and has a free Wi-Fi available for all the students. The library staff is friendly and helps out in borrowing and returning books using your college ID Hostel is a bit expensive to live in with a yearly rent of 55000 including the food and furnitured and sharing rooms. The mess food is not upto the mark to be honest. It is quite land and sometimes hygienic. Everyone I know who stays in the hostel preferred food from the canteen or dhaba outside the campus.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and knowledgeable about the subject they were teaching but the course curriculum was completely outdated. For engineering students, they taught C and C+ for 3 semesters straight and gave very little importance to javascript and python in the course. Whereas both javascript and python are the programming languages used in most IT/teach companies. So the course had very little relevance to the market demands. Passing percentage was 40 and we used to have exams at the end of each semester. Also there was a fee of 1500 to be paid by the student to appear in supplimentary exams if they were not able to pass.
Other: The society events and the college fest - resurrection was the best part about the college. It was a grand event held over 3 days and a lot of popular DJ's like nikhil chinappa used to host the event. I chose to do B. Teach (CSE) because there is a huge demand for IT software engineers in the market and also the teach industry is the most highly paying industry. But I was disappoint with the course overall because it was outdated and not in sync with industry demands. Also the examination were not challenging at all and did not push and test my limits. There should be more focus given on the quality of the course content and make it relevant so that students can use the learning in their actual workplaces.

Q:   Is JEE required for B.Tech at FET MRIIRS?

A:

Yes, JEE exam is required for taking admission in B.Tech. at FET MRIIRS. B.Tech programmes are offered at FET MRIIRS on the basis of marks obtained in JEE Main /SAT/MRNAT/10+2 qualifying examination. JEE exam is required because of the huge competetion for admission at FET MRIIRS. JEE exam rank shorlists the best and intelligent students from the others.

FET MRIIRS (Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies) accepts various entrance exams for admission to their B.Tech programs. While JEE Main scores are considered for admission, they also accept other entrance exams such as SAT, MRNAT (Manav Rachna National Aptitude Test), or the 10+2 examination scores.

Candidates applying for B.Tech programs at FET MRIIRS have multiple options for entrance exams. They can apply through JEE Main scores, SAT scores for international applicants, MRNAT conducted by the institute itself, or based on their performance in the 10+2 qualifying examination.

Applicants are usually given the flexibility to choose among these exams while applying for B.Tech programs. Admission criteria might vary based on the exam through which the candidate applies, and the weightage given to each exam might differ.

Faculty of Engineering and Technology FAQs

Q:   What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at Faculty of Engineering and Technology?

A:

Focus on your grades - Focus on your academics and don't let anyone make you believe that marks don't matter. Your primary job as a student is to study and you need to make sure that you perform that duty diligently.

Explore aspects other than academics - There is no real pressure during the initial days of college and this time should be used to get your hands dirty in diverse activities of interest. Join a society, volunteer, cultivate a new hobby, start a blog, learn a new language - do anything worthwhile with your time. Learn to code even if your from a branch that doesn't involve coding. Itll pay great dividends later on. A year of experimentation should give you a good understanding of your interests and enable you to pursue them in the long term.

Build healthy relationships - Your friend circle will determine the course of your college life and your career. Take your time in settling down. Maintain a healthy relationship with everyone but be very selective about the people with whom you'll be spending most your time. Also, it is important to choose the right kind of seniors for advice.

Go out and have fun - Roam around the campus, explore the city and make a lot of memories. You'll never be more carefree and devoid of responsibility ever in your life. So, make sure that you have your share of fun.

Take care & don't get bogged down by peer pressure - Your ideals, values and conviction define you as a person. You are old enough to decide what is right and wrong for you. Don't let anyone force you into doing or trying anything.
