Good infrastructure and faculty members, provided internships, facilities available.

Placements: Our college had many small companies, along with companies like Amazon and TCS, for recruitment. Lots of students got internships. A few have been selected for jobs from the internships themselves. Various roles were offered to the students, such as customer care, social media manager, etc.

Infrastructure: The college classrooms are quite large and have boards and projectors. There are seminar rooms and labs for the Science and Computer departments, which are well-equipped. There is also a central library that consists of all necessary course books and references, along with separate sections for the departmental libraries. The college canteen also provides good meals that are freshly cooked. There are no hostels available at the college.

Faculty: The professors are very knowledgeable, and everyone possesses many degrees from reputed universities. They are very approachable and interact with the students in class. They always help with doubt clearing and prepare the students for the exams. The curriculum for the English Honours course, as provided by the university and college, is very relevant. It covers topics from the history of literature to post-modern literature. It helps the students pursue their careers in various fields of their choice. The semesters are moderately difficult. There is a high pass percentage; almost 90% of students pass.

Other: Everyone who likes literature should apply for the course at the college. The faculty is very good. The campus is a bit small, but we've always felt secure on the campus. There is no problem with ragging or bullying. Annual Day is celebrated yearly, along with Foundation Day and Sports Day. There are also various inter-college and intra-college competitions.

One of the best colleges with excellent infrastructure.

Placements: I will graduate in 2023. However my seniors have been placed with good job opportunities, in desirable positions. Internships should be easily manageable with the kind of attention and resources the teachers give out.

Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped with spacious classrooms, laboratories and a well stocked library. The office staff and other non teaching employees are very helpful and accommodating. The campus is small, yet very well maintained. Medical and sports facilities are well available and ncc camps are held.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful, and resourceful. They pay individual attention to students and focus on actually growing the students, in terms of their knowledge and not just according to the prescribed syllabus. The curriculum followed is the prescribed syllabus of Calcutta university and is very relevant and comprehensive.

Since it's a government-funded college, it works best for a lot of students as it is affordable.

Placements: In our batch, in the beginning, there were around 50% of students. By the end of the third year, the total strength declined to less than 30% of students. There are no many placements in our course, i.e., English (Honours). So, none of the students got an internship in either of the companies.

Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is like a typical old Calcutta building with long corridors and gardens. However, the library is one of the best places in the entire college, which also provides quite a few facilities and most of the books which are needed. Classrooms are fine, and the canteen should be more hygienic.

Faculty: Most of the professors here were pretty knowledgeable, but only a few of them could provide a better understanding of the subject matter. They are not biased, and they treat every student equally. The course curriculum is relevant to our field of study.

Other: One of the things which I want to be included is a practical approach in our course. Our college should provide theatrical and drama workshops and also perform the plays and dramas in the course to have a better grasp on learning and remember the subjects.

My beautiful college, S.A. Jaipuria College.

Placements: Our college has an excellent and active placement cell which invites many PSUs as well as private companies to recruit graduates. There are companies like TCS, ONGC, Satyam, Spice Jet, Air India, and many more which give a package of around 2-3.5 LPA depending upon the criteria. Every session rolls out with at least 50-70 successful placements from our college. For more details, please log on to our college website and go to the placement section. Maximum calls are made from B.Com and B.Sc sections.

Infrastructure: The college building seems not so big from outside but is one of the best-maintained government colleges in North Kolkata. Under CU, This college ranks next to Goenka, in commerce. There is a garden in the middle of the building. There are 4 floors with 25 classrooms on each floor. There is also an IQAC department in our college.

Faculty: Our college has one of the best faculty members in Kolkata for English, physics and commerce departments. Apart from old, experienced professors who become a family member after a few regular days at college, there are guest lecturers who are appointed on a yearly basis and are much helpful to the students. I am a student of B.A English Hons., and my professors are like my parents.

Other: There are regular fests every year. The office staff is very cooperative. Everything is the best in this college as compared to other government colleges in Kolkata.
