Admission Process

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Candidate has to select preferred course at the time of registration, there is no limit on the maximum number of courses in which the candidate can apply and there is no additional fee for applying in multiple courses. Application registration fee for various categories - UG/OBS) – Rs.100 SC/ST/PwD – Rs.50 Sports/ECA quota - Rs.200
Course and College Selection
Cut-off list for each college, course and reservation category would be published on the university portal. Candidates meeting the requisite cut-offs, has to select the desired course and college on DU admission portal.
Document Verification
Candidates have to get all the required documents verified by the college they choose based on the announced cut-offs. Candidates should carry original documents along with 2 sets of self-attested photocopies. Final Selection
Admission is based on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Selected list of admitted candidates would be displayed on the DU admission portal. Admission is confirmed only if online admission fee is paid with in the stipulated time. One candidate can take admission only in one course in one college at any given time.

The infrastructure of the college is going to be the best infra all over the Delhi university.

Placements: The college provides decent placement opportunities. Many well-known companies visit the campus to recruit, including Deloitte, EY, and Bank of America. However, only a few students are selected. The highest salary offered is 31 lakhs, and the average salary is 6 lakhs. The college also provides good internship opportunities. If you are a member of the college's placement cell, you will get first access to these opportunities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in this college is good. The classrooms are well-equipped with digital smart boards and centralized AC. However, the quality of the food in the canteen keeps changing because the catering contract is constantly being re-bid.

Faculty: The teachers at this college are well qualified and experienced. They have published reports on a variety of ideas and projects. The teachers are very supportive and will help us if we have a genuine reason for needing help. Passing the semester exams is not too hard, but we do need to pay attention in class and read the previous year's exams.

Other: The college crowd is very diverse. However, there are very few fests, so if you are looking for a lot of extracurricular activities, this may not be the college for you. The college provides various scholarships to students who need financial help. I chose B.Com because it provides knowledge of many diverse fields, which enables me to discover my interests and pursue my career accordingly.

SBSEC is the best evening college at DU.

Placements: The placement scene is far better here than any other evening colleges or even some south campus and off-campus colleges of Delhi University. We can expect an average salary package of 6.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered this year is 21.5 LPA. It is a well-reputed college.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious. The library is average in terms of seating area. The number of books available is very good. There are labs like a computer lab, a geography lab, etc. There is a separate sports block and a ground but the ground is under construction.

Faculty: After NEP, the curriculum has entirely changed and has become more relevant now. Exams are conducted semester-wise. It is conducted once every semester. Exams are student-friendly. Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They teach very well.

Other: Our college should conduct more fests. There should be a better canteen. The management is very strict that we do not have a collective fest but internal department fests are held. The connectivity to the metro, bus, etc., is fine as everything is available within walking distance.

Placements: The placement of the college is pretty good. Every year, placement drives are organized under which students can sit for interviews with various companies. The selection ratio is also good. The best company that comes for hiring is Deloitte USI, which offers a package of 6.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good. The principal is trying to improve the infrastructure day by day. All basic facilities are available, like a library, computer labs, medical room, canteen, etc. For students interested in sports, there is a sports room where they can issue various sports equipment.

Faculty: The faculty here is very good and supportive. They help us with every aspect of life and the course. They are well-qualified professors with Ph.D. degrees. They are regular and take classes on time. The course is in commerce, covering accounts and management subjects.

Other: Campus life is average because of the ongoing construction of a new auditorium and indoor sports complex, which will definitely benefit future batches. There are various societies students can join according to their skills and interests. The mode of transport available near the college is Malviya Nagar Metro and CVS bus stop. Students can also opt for private autos available outside the premises.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh- one of the best colleges of DU (south campus).

Placements: Placements here are good, but we have to work hard to maintain our skills to get placements. We also have to gain experience, and be part of various societies. Working for them will help us build our profile and learn new skills.

Infrastructure: I attended Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, which is one of the best colleges of DU South Campus. The infrastructure is good, but we lag in air-conditioned classrooms. However, the canteen is very good, with affordable prices and a variety of foods. The canteen staff is very good as well.

Faculty: The faculty is very good, and the teachers are supportive and highly educated. They prefer bagless classes and teach on whiteboards as well as in computer labs. Exams are conducted in semester format, and the difficulty level is moderate.

Review of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College .

Placements: The average package was 6.5 LPA this year, whereas the highest was 21.5 LPA. Companies like Big Four, GT, L&T, and Deloitte come here to recruit students. Students from B.Com. and B.Com. (Hons.) mostly get placement, whereas other course students do not get much better placement.

Infrastructure: Course is good. Curriculum is updated. Hostel is not provided here. Course subjects are theoretical as well as practical, and we get a good amount of knowledge from teachers as well. The library is well-equipped, but the only problem is that there is not enough seating space.

Faculty: Teachers are very good. Mostly are Ph.D. holders or those who are doing Ph.D. They teach very well. They are friendly too. Exams are conducted once every semester. Practical assessment are conducted throughout the semester. I must say that it is up to the student how he/she presents himself/herself. We definitely need to do other certification to get a good job.
