The two-year SJMSOM MBA course is organised into eight terms. In the first year (first four terms), students acquire knowledge on all the disciplines of management through 23 rigorous courses. All the academic courses require case studies, course projects and research by students, which provide exposure to the latest practices in the industry. Students get an option of doing a one-month winter project at the end of first two terms. The curriculum also includes a summer project at the end of the first year of the programme. 

SJMSOM offers 18-month Executive programme jointly with Washington University in St. Louis at the PG level. The part-time residential EMBA programme is spread across three semesters of six months. SJMSOM MBA admission 2024 is based on CAT 2023 scores. Only candidates who have appeared for CAT are eligible for MBA admissions at SJMSOM. CAT exam has three sections namely, VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude, candidates seeking SJMSOM MBA admissions must meet both the sectional as well as total CAT cutoff. The expected CAT cutoff for VARC is 75, DILR is 75, Quantitative Aptitude is 75 and the overall is 90. It is only after meeting the expected cutoff, candidates are called for further rounds of admission.

The total tuition fee is inlcusive of admssion fee, examination fee, caution deposit, and charges for many other facilities provided by the institute during the programme. The total tuition fee for the PhD programme at SJMSOM is INR 96,000. Note that the mentioned fee is as per unofficial sources, hence, is subject to revision.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. • Candidates need to pass a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) out of 10 or applicants appearing for the final year of degree or completed the degree and awaiting result can also apply or,
• Applicants appearing for final year of the degree and those who have completed the degree requirements and awaiting results can also apply. The applicant should have secured an aggregate of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) or equivalent till the latest exam that has been completed and whose scores are available or,
• CA, CS, CFA, ICWA or FRM, with a first-class bachelor’s degree in any discipline having secured 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) in aggregate (including all years /semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) out of 10 can also apply for MBA programme.

There is no such management quota for admission to any of the programmes offered at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay. SJMSOM, IIT Bombay courses admission are completely entrance exam based. Candidates seeking admission to any of the course at SJMSOM must have valid score in the required entrance exam as mentioned in the eligibility and selection criteria for that particular programme.
