B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020
Offered by Shri Gulabrao Deokar College Of Engineering
3.2
2Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
I suggest this college for economically weak category students.
Placements: There are about 120 students in our batch. About 30% of students got an internship. Roles like design engineer and machinist are offered here. It is the only college in Kavayitri North Maharashtra University that has an automobile branch. Companies like Bosch, Kalyani Brakes, Legrand, etc., visit the college for placements,
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the college is good. Our college has a good canteen, and the quality of the food served in the canteen is the best. The hostel quality is poor, and the hostel infrastructure is bad. Sports facilities are good. The college has well-operated labs. It also has a good Wi-Fi connection.
Faculty: Teachers and college staff members are knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is the best. The pass percentage is very good as teachers give personal attention to students. All staff members are very strict about attendance.

It is a good college, but there are some disadvantages also.
Placements: Almost 60% - 80% of the students get placed off-campus. No companies come to our college for placements. Neither any salary packages are offered.
Infrastructure: Our college had a good environment. Wi-Fi was available, but the conditions of labs were bad. Classrooms were not cleaned properly. Library was not good either because no books were available. Hostel facility was available for boys and girls separately. Girls hostel was good, but the boys hostel condition was very bad. Sports facility was not proper at our college.
Faculty: Teachers o our college were qualified, but they could not give their 100% into teaching. They did not teach us properly and forced us to join their private coaching classes. I am not sure about the curriculum because it depends upon student mind, but students were not ready for industry.
Other: I opted for the course because I was interested in machines and their properties. Teaching quality and industrial visits needs to be improved. Events and extracurricular activities were organised at our campus.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of poor placements, poor practical knowledge, good events, library.
Placements: Note: All answers are according to me only.
1.1% placed in our course. 10k per month is the salary offered.
Conclusion: Placements for other department were average and for mechanical department it was not good no placement we can say that. Note: All data mentioned above is according to me only.
Infrastructure: 1. Labs, classrooms, library were good, Wi-Fi service set at end of our batch, before that there was no Wi-Fi.
2. Course was just okay, not much good.
3. Conclusion- infrastructure of college campus was good, hostels were average, canteen was the worst, and there was big ground to play sports. Note: All data mentioned above is according to me only.
Faculty: 1. Teachers were well experienced, knowledgeable, and supportive.
2. Course was just like formalities, it was good but not upto mark.
3. Conclusion- faculty was supportive but curriculum was not up to average mark also. Note: All data mentioned is according to me only.
Other: 1. Course was trending those days and I want to learn same course.
2. More practical /industrial /computerised /Design knowledge needed than theoretical.
3. Events were just 1 or 2 in whole year, gathering was there, traditional events were there, extracurricular activities were good.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: This year, the college arranged a job fair for our college students and other colleges students. Many students got placed. A number of students from the mechanical branch were given roles like graduate trainee engineer and junior supervisor in many companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and the campus is also big. The college provides free Wi-Fi facility to students for education purpose. There is a good atmosphere for students in the campus, and good quality of labs and classrooms are provided. Food provided in the canteen and the hostel is good.
Faculty: All the faculty and teaching staff in the college are really good. All the teaching staff are helpful and always support and motivate the students. There are good senior staff members. They provide the best teaching methods and easy learning methods which are helpful for every student.
Other: The college arranged many events in the college campus. Scholarships are provided to the needy students.

Faculty members are good, but absolutely disappointed because of zero placements in 2016.
Placements: I didn't get placed on campus. None of the students in my batch got placed. As per my knowledge, nobody from our department was placed for the last 5-6years. Companies that visited the college were not related to our field, so they were not beneficial for us.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. All types of facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, sports and games, etc., which are essential for students are available. Quality of food in the canteen is good. Hostel rooms are clean and neat.
Faculty: The teachers were well-qualified and have lots of knowledge about the related subjects. They were very helpful to us. Their teaching methods were good and easy for the students to understand. The course curriculum was useful. The teaching quality was good.
Other: Different events like festivals, annual function, fresher's party, Teacher's day, etc., are organised in the college. The campus surroundings are outstanding. I have received the scholarship every year.
