North Maharashtra University Highlights 2024

Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon formerly known as North Maharashtra University was established in 1990. The University is recognised by the UGC and accredited with an 'A' Grade by the NAAC. NMU has been ranked 145 in the Southern Asia category by QS World University Rankings 2023 and also, ranked 50 in the overall category by The Week 2024.

NMU has over 220 affiliated colleges and 4 universities. Out of these, 1 college is recognised as a 'College of Excellence', 4 colleges have been identified as colleges with 'Potential for Excellence' and 5 colleges have been granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi Board, and Government of Maharashtra.

North Maharashtra University has more than 50 departments that collectively offer more than 200 courses at UG, PG, and doctoral levels. All these courses are UGC-approved and are offered across various fields, including Arts, Management, Education, Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, Commerce and Agriculture. The university also offers distance education. Popular courses at Jalgaon University include BE/ BTech, BSc, MTech, and MBA. NMU Jalgaon admission to BTech is done through the MHT CET entrance examination followed by counselling. MBA and MCA admissions are based on the MAH-MBA-CET and MAH-MCA-CET entrance examination scores.
