It has decent infrastructure, good faculty members, and strong placements.
Placements: More than 80% of students get placed in our college. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month. Many companies like Google and HCL visit the college to hire students. More percentage of students get internships from many technical companies. Many roles are offered to students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available campus wide with decent speed. Labs are well-equipped with updated technology. The library is well-stocked, and every book is available there. Rooms quality is so decent, with good space and furniture. Cleanliness is also good, and hygiene is maintained.
Faculty: Many faculty members hold advanced degrees. They have relevant experience, but some need to improve their teaching methods. The teaching quality is average to good. Certain professors are experts in their subjects. The course curriculum is moderately relevant.
Other: I chose this course because it aligns with many career goals. It provides exposure to real-world applications through projects and internships.

I am satisfied with this college, but not that much.
Placements: About 40-50% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered in the B.Com course ranges from 7-8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in the B.Com course ranges from 2-4 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 4.5 -5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like KPMG, Wipro, JSW, Byju's, and Bajaj Capital Limited visit the college to hire students from our course. Only 10% of students got internships. Roles like finance and banking are offered to students.
Infrastructure: There are computer labs and science labs in our college. There is a library in our college. It provides a 24x7 Wi-Fi connection, sports facilities, student societies, AV learning, medical centers, and a cafeteria. It does not provide hostel facilities to students but there are PGs nearby.
Faculty: Teachers teaching quality is very good. Staff members are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers are very helpful and they solve many doubts of students. The course curriculum is worth it and highly relevant as it covers many subjects like business communication, accounting, statistics, economics policies, taxation, finance, and marketing.
Other: I chose this course because I got it automatically by CUET results. There is a scope after graduation. Events happen on a regular basis.

Shyam Lal College, Shahdara.
Placements: The placement facility at this college is very poor. The highest package for a B.Com student is ₹30,000 per month, and the percentage of students who got internships is only 10%. This college increases the fees year by year; I paid ₹20,500 in the first year, ₹22,500 in the second year, and ₹24,500 in the third year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for courses is good because many teachers who teach in SRCC-like colleges have migrated to our college, Shyam Lal. I gave 3 stars for the course, but there is no hostel in this college for students, so I gave 0 for hostel facilities. The department of courses needs to improve.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-qualified, with good knowledge. Their communication skills with students are also very good. The semester exams at this college are very difficult because they check our mark sheets very carefully.
Other: I chose this course because I want to work in large companies. Events and fests are held every 2-3 months, and the campus surroundings are very pleasant, with plenty of trees and plants.

Academic feedback on Shyamlal College.
Placements: Since the college is off-campus therefore companies that come to the college are very less. Companies that come to the college recruit students for the role of marketing, sales, call centres, and content writing. The highest salary package offered by Byju's is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The only thing that matters is that it's Delhi University and the importance of the degree.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Shyam Lal College is average. But now, it has done a lot of improvement. The mess food is good and very economical. Medical facilities and games are also quite decent. Enrollment in the college is based on the CUET UG entrance exam.
Faculty: When I was a student, I found the course mediocre level. Statistics and econometrics were such subjects that I found new but my faculty was pretty good. She provided the notes and gave the assignments to make us familiar with the subject. The course curriculum is pretty decent, and I really enjoyed the course. Semester exams were difficult. If students are preparing at the end of the exams, they'll suffer a lot, especially in subjects like mathematical methods of economics, statistics, econometrics and intermediate microeconomics. So prepare well before exams. Some faculty members are good. Some are not up to the mark. But the curriculum of the course is pretty good that the university offers. It is really helpful if one pursues a master's in economics.
Other: There are various societies in our college that organise events, competitions and fests for all courses. I was a part of the economics society and we organized the inter-college debate competitions which was fun. We had the annual economics fest where students from different colleges visited our college and joined in our events. Campus life is fun.

Yes it's a decent college .
Placements: As I am still studying, I will complete my course in 2027. But as I asked about my seniors, they said very few companies visit our college, and approximately 10% of students got internships from my course. The offer that they give to students is very low. Zomato and Mother Dairy are the recruiters.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi is provided in the library. A decent ground for sports and games, canteen food is very affordable. Medical facilities are also decent. But in summer, no cold water is provided to us. Best coach for hockey. The garden area is very soothing and beautiful; it is my favorite part of that. The location of the college is good because the metro station is at a walkable distance.
Faculty: The professors are very qualified and knowledgeable. If I talk about professors of commerce, they are very qualified and kind. They take classes regularly and skip very little. The Professor of business law is my favorite as she teaches us in different ways.
Other: They should enjoy the college life and make the most use of the professors of our college. Also, take part in activities; do not miss class.

Actual reality of a DU college .
Placements: College has diverse courses and all the streams, which are science, commerce and arts. The highest package for which a candidate was placed from college was about 12 LPA. But on average, only 10 to 20 percent of students are getting placements and more of them usually get around 4 to 6 LPAs only. And the rest might get internships for experience .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities aren't so good in the college. Although whiteboards are being installed in every classroom. Projectors placed in classrooms aren't working at all. Teachers tend to take online classes whenever they don't get labs for practical classes. Moreover, there are 3 labs in college and only 2 are working in the 3rd lab; there aren't laptops working, not even a proper chair for sitting. The canteen is having average food now but with a lot of humidity in it as it's not having enough fans and AC to control the heat inside. But the library of the college is amazing, with proper air conditioning and comfortable chairs on the first floor; the library on the ground floor isn't so well maintained.
Faculty: Semester exams in the college are too difficult as the students need to get passing marks in both internal and external. And internal marks are 70 out of which at least 40 should be scored so that students get passed. In the external examination as well, which is 90 marks, students need at least 30 to 35 for getting passing marks overall.
