Needs improvement in campus.

Placements: No placement or no recruitment is done at all. Internship options are there. One can join this college to learn some experience before going for work. Workshops should be conducted for the students to learn about various options and jobs.

Overall, a perfect college to showcase the talent within an individual.

Placements: About 50 percent of students overall are placed in our course. The lowest pack is around 1 -2 Lacs annually, whereas the highest package is around 5-8 Lacs. Deloitte, Accenture, Wipro, KPMG, etc. are top recruiting companies for our courses. Accountant role is offered.

Shyam Lal might not be what you think.

Placements: The placement is not quite good for English Hons. There is a placement cell and there was a placement fair too but only f you belong to one of commerce or Science courses. As for the students of English we found no company suitable to our course. But overall many people found placements.

Overall college is very good and till now I have had a great experience.

Placements: The placement rate for our course is about 44%. Whereas if we talk about the average package it is 3.5-4 LPA. There is a decline in placement from 49% in 2019 to 44% in 2021. Some of the top recruiting companies are Tommy Hilfiger, Bajaj capital ltd, RBS, etc.

Our college infrastructure and environment is good.

Placements: The highest salary package is 5 LPA and the lowest salary package is 2 LPA. Most e-commerce companies offer placements. Most of the students go for internships after completing college.

It is a good college of the University of Delhi.

Placements: Most of the students do not opt for placements in the college as they want to pursue higher studies. The students who opt for placements get the jobs provided by the companies that visit our campus. The starting salary package of a B.Com graduate ranges from 2.5 LPA to 5 LPA. There are plenty of internship opportunities provided to the 2nd and 3rd-year students if they wish to pursue any domain.

Glimpses of Shyam Lal College (DU).

Placements: In terms of placement, the college is not good barely some companies visit the campus and most of them are marketing students. For science students, the placement is approximately nil. In the 6th semester, placements started. Hardly 10-12 companies visit the campus and many of them are for only internships. So, overall placement in Slc is like very rare. If barely anyone gets placed then his package will be 2 to 2.5 LPA. I also get placed in CTC 1.8 LPA but I didn't join it.

The infrastructure of our college is good.

Placements: Our batch is amazing. More than 100 students are placed in my course and I have no idea about the salary package offered. Top companies are recruiting students from this college. More than 20% of students are getting internships from our course. Roles offered are consultant, etc.

It has nice faculty, infrastructure, and good laboratories.

Placements: College didn't provide placements from 2014-to 2017. In 2013 college held a placement in which some students were placed in the Royal Bank of Scotland. However one can apply for a University placement cell. There you can get plenty of opportunities. My friend also got placed in Studymate an educational group.

It is an above average college with combination of all faculty, infrastructure, and discipline.

Placements: College faculty members try hard to find a lot of companies on campus to give opportunities for jobs. Suitable candidates face interviews and are successful to find a job. Many leading companies like JBL Industries, Tata Consultancy, and Airtel Communication visited for placements.

I am satisfied and happy with college faculty members.

Placements: I think I got admission on 91%. We don't have that professional course, so I have little knowledge regarding placements and packages, but I have seen many top brands coming to college for placements, and students getting good packages as well.

Our overall experience was great, and I enjoyed my campus life.

Placements: Our course was B.A. Program with the combination of Economic and Political Science. The subjects I have chosen were full of knowledge. In 2019, our college organised an internship program in which some of the students got their internships in that program.

Review of Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi.

Placements: This college provides decent placements currently and it also provides internship opportunities from the beginning but students cannot rely on a good package. For that students need to do a better master's degree. It is a good course and cost-effective.

It is a good college for study and enjoyment.

Placements: College was good and students were also good in our batch. There were 65 students in our batch. I got an offer at on-campus placements but I have to study higher, so I refused to join. Many companies came for recruitment and around 65% of students got their internships.

Not worth for outside Delhi students to come, leaving your home and live in Delhi for this college.

Placements: Nearly 50% of students were placed from the college. The highest package offered was 15 LPA. Mostly, students bagged jobs and internships from fairs of other colleges and other campuses of Delhi University. Training and Placement cell works well, and they are able to find some good and reputed jobs which can offer good salaries for only a few students, and the rest of the students have to apply at the DU job fair or by finding themselves.

I hope our college should provide better facilities so that we attain something in our college life.

Placements: I am not sure about placements because I am in the 2nd year, and till now, I have not experienced much about college placements. The college is very helpful and good for everyone. I suggest every student take admission here and get the best advantage for the future. Our batch students did not apply for the placements because they wanted to do better in the fields. Many companies visit the college to hire students with decent salary packages.
