The admission process for SIT is a multi-step process, including application, course-specific selection rounds, etc.

For instance, direct admission is available for the BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) programme, which is based on the results of the MAKAUT CET (Common Entrance Test). However, admission to the majority of B.Tech programmes is determined by the results of entrance tests such as WBJEE or JEE Main.

West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation provides Post-Matric Scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships. For renewal, the applicant will be eligible for the scholarship if he/she has obtained 50% aggregate in his/ her previous examination.

The total tuition fee of BTech is INR 4.80 lakh.
