It has good infrastructure and opportunities to excel, but it depends on students.

Placements: Almost 35% of the students got placed. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month and the highest salary offered is 2 lacs per month. Top recruiting companies of our college are Renault Nissan, Infosys, Think n Solutions, Burning Glass and G G Tronics. An engineer is a top role offered to all. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 24 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA, and the average salary package offered would be 2.75 LPA. Everything is fine here, but in terms of placements, our college is average.

Placements: Around 70% of the students from our department were placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month, while the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Infosys, TCS, Data Pattern and many more companies are the top recruiters for our course. The trainee is the top role offered in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4.5 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. About 40% of students got internships from our department.

Satisfied with the course and the associated facilities. Can bring better companies for placement.

Placements: In my batch around 70% people got placed and the remaining opted out for higher studies. The highest number of employment offers was given by Milkela Engineering pvt. Ltd. followed by VEE technology. The rest were placed in some small civil engineering companies.

Good placements and infrastructure. Separate teachers available for placements and aptitude classes.

Placements: Placements for the students of our batch were good, but if we compare our placements rate with our seniors, we can say that our placements were great. In the past four years, placements were excellent. Many reputed companies had visited this college for the placements drive. Almost 50% of the students from our batch got placed. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 11 LPA. Companies like Infosys and Checktronix visited our college for the placem...

A good place to learn engineering.

Placements: Placements are provided in college but with minimum core companies and more IT sector companies. The IT companies want mechanical engineers who have the knowledge of programming languages, so students have to have some interest in learning programming languages. The college trains students for placements from the second year onwards.

It is good college with proper infrastructure within the city limit.

Placements: If you have good academic score you will get good placements. 70% of the students got placed. The highest salary 6 LPA & the lowest 1.80 LPA average 3 LPA. Companies like Zoho, Infoview, Tech mahindra, Byjus, Renault Nissan, Buddie Health. Only 10% of students get internship. Yes there is a placement cell.

Better college when compared to others, but I'll prefer some other college if you need a big scale.

Placements: In my batch, the total students were 1,100 out of which 800 to 850 got placed. Most of the companies are startup companies, where my friends got placed. Many companies in Chennai came for recruitment, and most of them got placed. Some companies like Infotech, Hakuna Matata, Polaris, etc., visit the campus. In my senior batch, the same number of students in the same companies got placed. In my batch, nearly 75 to 80% of the students got placed. The highest pay offered by Zoho company is 7.5 LPA, ...

Good infrastructure, but bad management and cost of education is expensive.

Placements: The placement opportunities were good in the year 2014, but later the number of MNC companies coming to our college for placements has decreased. Recently Sona got back its good olden days in the campus placements, I think. During my tenure, 50% of the students have got placed in good companies. The salary package ranges from 2LPA to 6LPA. The most notable IT companies have visited our college for placements like Accenture, Cognizant, Honeywell, Infosys, Athena, etc. Earlier most of the core com...

The Sona College of Technology is a heaven on earth.

Placements: The placements were not too good at Sona College of Technology. They filter students in various ways to reduce the placement count. They also don't take necessary steps to ensure placement, so the job opportunities for all the students are not assured. Only the placement related training is provided here.

Partly satisfied, as the placements are not good for average students. It has higher faculty.

Placements: The placements are good. The students should work hard. For hardworking students, the college is trustworthy. Many of the faculty members help students and motivate them, but some of the faculty members do not provide OD, i.e. on duty, and some think the students are not worthy and some faculty members have orthodox behaviour.

It is a good college but placement is weak now.

Placements: My senior batch has good placements at top companies like Accenture. Accenture acquired bulk students, which is around more than 400. Then Titan, JSW, CTS also recruited the students. In fashion technology department, all students were placed in their core companies. After that, in my batch, Infoview, Tech Mahindra, IBM, CTS and most of the start-up companies recruited in the campus placements.

Placements: The placements are not better because the teaching side is the worst and extracurricular activities not satisfied. The fees structure is high. Avoid our college. Many colleges have good placements so, please don't join Sona College of Technology.

Placements: Placements are in large companies like Zoho, Tech Mahindra, JSW and other big core companies. Maximum students are been placed at least in a BPO company. We also perform well in our academics and the college will recommend us for a large company. The students who are placed can go to job while studying their 7th semester.

Best place to celebrate learning.

Placements: Placements are actually a bit poor compared to last year. Major companies that visited were Zoho, Infoview, Tech Mahindra, MindTree, Renault Nissan and others are just small startups and with lower packages below 3 lpa. If you are talented, then it is the best place to study here. Learning is a kind of celebration. Placement training is very poor, just conducted for namesake.

Placements: Compared to our immediate senior batch, placements were good. Many MNCs came for campus drive. Nearly 67% of students would be placed. The highest salary was Rs. 6.5 lpa. Lowest pay was Rs. 10k. Tech Mahindra, Think & Learn, Dell, Essy Solutions, Rane India, Renault Nissan, Shardha motors, Meenakshi Mills etc. Off campus drives were offered by the college. No internships were provided I think.

Good: 1.Qualified teachers - Most of the teachers have at least M.E or M.Tech qualification 2. Reachability: College is located in the heart of the city. 3. Infrastructure: College has the nice infrastructure, with all the equipment’s needed for an engineering. 4. Fees: College management is getting the actual fees as prescribed by the government, which is a rare scenario in many engineering colleges. 5. Freedom: No strict rules followed. Comparatively one of the best colleges in Salem.

Placements: About 40% of students were only placed on campus remaining students tried a lot of off-campus interviews. But recently the placement was good. I have heard that in the 2021-2022 academic year there are a lot of top MNC companies like Wipro, cognizant, Accenture, and HCL arrived.
