A look into the most underrated DU College in the North Campus- SGTB Khalsa College.

Placements: Being a student doing an Arts course, companies or organizations offering placements is very low on the campus. On an average scale, only 1/10th of the students among arts even opt for placements. However, there are a lot of opportunities for students from Commerce or Science backgrounds with companies offering very high packages. The IGNITE Cell of my campus is a very active society and plays a very important role in the process of recruitment. As far as History Honours is concerned the highest...

Best hostel life at Khalsa.

Placements: Placements are not solely dependent on the College but yet they play a very important role in the same. It is safe to assume SGTB Khalsa College offers decent placements as per your skills and experience. The highest package have been observed to be 15LPA at McKinsey and company taking in around 3 people from the college.

Good infrastructure, sports, campus and average faculty.

Placements: We have top companies coming to our college for placements. All big 4s, Brain and co., Mckinsey, BCG, and several others recruited us. Mainly we're provided with management consulting roles for our course. The highest package was 16 LPA and average is around 5-6 LPA. Some 30-35% students get summer internships.

It is a great experience to be at SGTB Khalsa College.

Placements: Post-B.Sc., there aren't many jobs available in chemistry apart from lab assistant etc. Jobs are available for commerce students, and most of them get good packages. The top companies recruit students regularly. For chemistry, there was no recruitment at all.

It is a perfect college to enjoy college life.

Placements: Students got placed in this college in different fields. The highest salary package offered in 2020 was around 15 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 4 LPA. IATSAT, Byju's, EY, McKinsey, Brains, Deloitte and many other top companies hire students from this college. The placement cell named IGNITE is very active in getting us internships. We usually get 1-2 internships every week, and students who are willing to get one can surely get it. Financial analysts, consultants and aud...

College life was average. Our university offers a good opportunity.

Placements: Most of the students got placed. The salary package offered is also decent, and most of the companies show up for placements. Students are quite happy with its placement cell. The salary package offered by companies is a bit low as compared to other colleges on the north campus.

It is a good college with a lot of facilities and an excellent fest.

Placements: Placements for this course are not very easily available. Internships are quite frequently offered by our student body placement cell. Mostly, it is an intermediate step, and you need to do PG in something to get a good job. After political science, students can be a professor in political science, politician, journalist, UPSC law, etc.

Faculty members are excellent and experienced. Hostel facilities are good with a very big ground.

Placements: I am a student of BA Hons political science at SGTB Khalsa College. The batch has up to 70 to 80 students in this course. I think after studying political science, students can't get a job. However, students can opt for various other courses in masters like law, journalism, MA in political science, etc. Placements in this subject are not that good in any college after UG. The placement cell in terms of internships is very good. They have formed a WhatsApp group according to our course, and they ...

Satisfied with the college life in SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Not many companies come for placement for the computer science course. Most of the companies come for commerce students, but the number of companies for computer science is increasing year by year. Companies like Brain and E&Y came to offer placements this year.

Infrastructure is good. The college is value for money, but the curriculum is outdated.

Placements: From our batch, 60-70% of the students got placed. The average salary package offered is around 3.5-4 LPA. Biggest recruiters are the big 4 accounting firms, i.e., E&Y, KPMG and Deloitte. Top roles offered in our course are in accounts and audit. The internship percentage is very high, and all the willing students got it.

I had worth college life here.

Placements: Khalsa has been ranked with 7th in terms of placements. Our college provides students with placements in well-renowned companies, including KPMG, EY, etc. Students from commerce background got placed in good companies, but there were issues as well. However, they were solved.

Absolutely satisfied and proud to be a student here.

Placements: The placement cell of our college is very hardworking. A good number of companies, including big 4 companies, have started visiting our college for placements. Different types of internship opportunities are available in different fields throughout the year. Overall, I will rate our college as good.

Join and enjoy. Nice peers, great learning, nice fests overall a great college.

Placements: There are a lot of opportunities for getting internships but less companies are coming for full time recruitment. As DU is mostly famous for commerce course and CS is relatively new to it. But who wants placement after 3 years degree you have to and must go for masters. Overall if we look you get good exposure. Lots of good students scoring more than 90 percent in their 12 standard meets you. You get a lot of knowledge from your peers not so much from teachers.

The college provides opportunities and fun.

Placements: The college has a good placement cell, but top companies offer placements to commerce students than other stream students. Other streams also get placements but not better than the commerce stream. However, our college is good for all courses, but some problems occur in placements, which common in every college.

I am disappointed because of faculty members as they are not cooperative.

Placements: Chances of getting placements from our college are very rare. Placements are not provided in our course. If you want to get placed from our college, you must opt for other courses like B.Com, etc. You can also opt for Hansraj College and Sri Ram College of Commerce for placements. In B.Sc. in physics Honours, you can opt for research fields.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the fees as our college does not provide ample facilities.

Placements: There is a total of about 300 students in our course who are further divided into 3 sections, i.e., A, B, C. About 15 students got placed in Deloitte with a salary package of 5.5 LPA, while about 20 students got placed in KPMG with a salary package of 6 LPA. Around 10-20 students got placed in EY with a salary package of 5 LPA. Internship opportunities were provided in EY, Grant Thornton and reputed MNCs.

Faculty members are the worst.

Placements: In this course, students can pursue higher education or go for government jobs. We are not allowed to sit in placements because companies said that we should also have marketing skills, so instead of adding a course, our principal removed us from placements.

Review of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College.

Placements: None of the students opted for placements after B.Sc. (H) botany. But in other courses, almost 80% of the students got placed from college. Most people in science go for further education but in commerce, arts, economics, you can see good placements. The average salary package offered varies from 5 LPA - 7 LPA.
