Its a great place to learn and get a job from.
Placements: I passed out in 2024 in the electronics and communication stream. In our batch, most of them got placed, with about 80% of students securing placements even though there was a situation like a recession. The highest package is 44 LPA, and 4 is the lowest. HPE, Bosch, TATA Elexi, etc.
Infrastructure: Personal Wi-Fi ID and password will be provided, classrooms with projectors, a rich library. It's a pure vegetarian hostel with 24*7 medical facilities. And they will allocate 2-3 persons in a room, and there are so many buildings inside the campus only.
Faculty: Teachers are very much helpful for students at any time. If students attend the classes regularly, then exams were easy. And my course gave me the real-life uses and utilities. And teachers support students like mentors; they give direction.
Other: I joined this college because of placement and knowledge and I got both.

Good college in Mysore and better placement opportunities.
Placements: The placement percentage of this year is 80% till date and placements has not ended and the placements are going on. The top roles offered are SDE, Embedded engineer, Hardware engineer. Almost 90% of placed students got internships in the batch. Most preferred college in Mysore.
Infrastructure: The college has good lab facilities, Wi-Fi facility, college department clubs and good environment. The hostel is clean and hygienic and good environment and ambience, food is better. Good and better college in Mysore and Karnataka with good NIRF ranking.
Faculty: The faculty are good and well thought they teach nicely and there will be five events in each sem and three internals and 2 events may be assignment/mini project. The semester exams will be conducted strictly and results will be unannounced soon. Good college in Mysore.
Other: The scope for Electronics and communication course is good and better job opportunities are available in the market and it is a good course.

Among the top 5 colleges in Karnataka through KCET. CSE is the best course offered.
Placements: The placement opportunities are very good. Almost 100% placement was there in the current passing out batch. The highest package of my branch was 33 Lacs per annum and the average was around 12-10 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies were TCS and CISCO. Almost all students got internships in several companies. Top roles were offered in the research and development section of the companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. The labs have well-equipped equipment, and classrooms are spacious with good seating arrangements. The library has a wide range of books for every department. There is free Wi-Fi with good speed throughout the campus. There is a hostel inside the campus for both boys and girls. The food is average and non-veg is not available. There are around 2 canteens both veg and they serve good food at a reasonable price. Sports has a good scope; many tournaments are held and we have spacious playgrounds and also indoor games.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is excellent. The course is structured such that it develops competent engineers who are prepared for the workplace. If you desire a decent grade or a score above 9.5 points on the semester-end exams, you must thoroughly review every chapter in each topic. There is no set passing score; nevertheless, in order to take the semester-ending exam and pass, you must receive at least 25 out of 50 on your internal exams.

Peaceful campus life at SJCE.
Placements: CSE, ECE and IS branch students have a chance of 80% placements assured, and EEE and EI have around 60% chance and the rest of the branches except ME are mostly pass out unplaced. The highest package till now for the 2022 batch is 21 lpa by Zscaler and the lowest till now is 3.5 by many mass recruiters. Top recruiters are WDC, HPE, Amazon, Qualcomm, JPMC, Cisco, Mercedes. Most of the roles are developer, R&D, Testing.
Infrastructure: The campus of SJCE is very vast and has a very nice peaceful. Wi-Fi is also good except that you won't get a proper connection while you are in some of the classrooms. Classrooms except for CS and IS branches are old and have good ventilation. Library and reference room are plus points of SJCE. The quality of the food given in the inner hostel is not that good when compared to outside hostel's. But you do get canteen facility on the campus. There is no proper medical facility available. The college has a gym, 2 two football grounds for sports and also an inner court for indoor games.
Faculty: Teaching quality is fine and doesn't matter that much as much of the course content is available on the internet. Although the curriculum is relevant, continuously evaluated, makes students industry-ready, five internals in a sem makes it a hectic schedule for the students. But again it helps students to be in touch with the curriculum and to pass very easily in semester exams.
Other: I was passionate about computers since I was a child. The course is relevant to current technologies used in the industries. As I said earlier reducing the internals and conducting more interactive events. Events in SJCE happens almost every week of the course. JCiana is the biggest event in Mysore conducting from SJCE.

I am absolutely satisfied with the college and extremely good placement record.
Placements: A number of students, i.e., nearly 490 -500 with the government quota and nearly 45 students through COMEDK seats got admission here. Placements here are really good with almost all the students getting good companies with good roles and median salary packages ranging up to 5.5 LPA. The highest salary packages offered range from 13 LPA to as low as 4.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has 24x7 Wi-Fi facilities, and there is a huge campus with all the necessary items on the campus. Most of the students are from Mysore, so bus facilities are also available at less price compared to other institutions. The hostel is clean, and the food served is good. Classrooms and library are fully Wi-Fi enabled with all the new items such as the latest edition books are available.
Faculty: All the teachers in our department are good and have PhDs in their own domain. All are highly qualified and has good industry experience of nearly 10-12 years, which they get in the class for discussions during the lectures. The course curriculum is good and relates to the current trend in the industry and changes every 3 years based on the suggestion made by the committee, which includes all the industry leaders.

It depends on the branch you choose, and if you are claiming seats through any category. But, don't be disheartened, if you don't get. You can try for NIE or Vidya Vardhaka, if you are looking for colleges in Mysore.
