Best college to join and best weather, with a good environment. All facilities available are good.
Placements: 90%+ are placed in different MNCs. 43 Lacs was the highest on campus, and the average is 9-10 Lacs. Infosys, Dell, Benz. Information Scientists are more hired here. Good and best campus life. Most people are getting placed. Superb and enjoyable life. Very good morning view. Best atmosphere.
Infrastructure: Luxury hostel, with 3 sharing. Wi-Fi available. Food is only (veg) tasty. Gym is available, the cheapest compared to Bangalore hostel. Puri, dosa, sweet chip, palov, idli, rava idli. Tasty food and amazing food. Laptops are so useful to everyone for studying. Good notes are given.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and friendly. Well-equipped labs. Exams are very strict and tough, with the highest CGPA being 8 or 9. Five-day classes per week. Half days are there in between. Good lab facilities. Good atmosphere. Best sports complex.
Other: In the even semester, there will be a fest. Good sports complex and facilities. Big cricket ground. Good campus life.

College is good but infrastructure is not good and facilities are not available.
Placements: The highest salary offered was 57 LPA and the lowest was 4 LPA. Sixty students are in each class, for a total of 240 students. Sixty-five percent of students got internships. Companies that hired students include JP Morgan, IBM, EY, NetCracks, LTTS, Accenture, Bosch, Infosys, Deloitte, Cisco, Mercedes HP Paypal Microfocus, and Capgemini.
Infrastructure: The facilities are not that great, but they are adequate. The campus is 25 acres, and it is a big and green campus. It is a Wi-Fi campus, and the classrooms are big, although they do not have air conditioning. The library is good, and it has its own building with a lot of space for reading. The hostel is good, and the mess is average. The canteen is not that great, but it is also adequate.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are very good. They teach very well and provide a lot of support for extracurricular activities such as sports and hackathons. They also encourage students to join college clubs and participate in college events. The curriculum is relevant, and students are well-prepared for industrial activities. Exams are not too difficult, and professors ask moderate questions.
Other: I chose Information Science and Engineering. We learn about information technology and how it is used in companies. The course is very software-oriented, and I think some electronics should be included. There aren't many events at our college, and the campus is not very crowded. The campus is 25 acres with a lot of greenery, and it is surrounded by an industrial area. Scholarships are needed, and there are very few extracurricular activities.

Decent placements, limited facilities, and dull, boring college life
Placements: Approximately 90% of students secured placements. The highest package was 42 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. The average was around 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Infosys, Wipro, and Capgemini. Roles were of software developer, data analyst, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are quite basic, honestly. There are a few classrooms in the north campus, and sometimes classes are held in the lab due to a shortage of classrooms. Sports facilities are a big disappointment, with only a few options. The canteen food is average, with 1-2 items that are actually tasty. The hostel mess food is particularly bad, making you avoid it entirely. It's so unappetizing that even South Indians struggle with it, let alone North Indians. The food in the North campus is a bit better— edible and sometimes tasty as well.
Faculty: The faculties at NIE are a mixed bag. While some teachers are helpful and engage well with students, there are others who fail miserably at teaching. The curriculum, unfortunately, is far from making students industry-ready, but to be honest, that's an issue across many colleges in India. The plus point is the semester exams, which are quite manageable and chilled. You will have plenty of time to focus on your side hustle.
Other: I chose ISE primarily due to my interest in the tech field. The best aspect of the college is the clubs, which can help in networking opportunities and provide a diverse campus crowd. However, the college falls short in many areas. Fests are very rare, and the north campus doesn't feel like a college campus but just a set of buildings. The curriculum could be significantly improved to get the students ready for the real-world challenges. The college timings (9 to 5) are also a downside, and it leaves us with little time for hobbies or things for personal interest. A more relaxed and flexible schedule will benefit students.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college and its practices.
Placements: Apparently 90% people were placed but most of them went off campus. The highest package, as of now, to the people who are getting placed now has been 24 LPA. The lowest is 4 LPA, with the average being 7-8 LPA. Talking about this year, the top recruiters have been Cisco and Fidelity.
Infrastructure: The wifi is pretty bad and none of the classes are equipped with smart boards or anything, just a projector where teachers present the most basic presentations. The library is pretty fine and you get additional online resources too. There is no place for games, just a basketball hoop, not even a basketball court and even football is played on that uneven field. The canteen is the worst, not even proper food; hostels are the worst, especially the girl's one, just to make sure you are not even allowed to wear shorts in mess They live above your head like a hawk; you are not even allowed to order food after 8:30; and if you don't like something and you protest against it, they will threaten to throw you out and not even make anything right; and the NIE NORTH hostel is in the middle of nowhere and just to go out of the hostel, you need to call your parents. They don't have enough space in the North campus hostel so they make you stay in the South campus hostel and for transportation, they have provided a bus but with an additional 25k, which is completely a waste of money because the bus operates only twice a day and when you have only two classes, you have to spend extra on public transportation. To mention, the college is in an industrial area so transportation is a rare visitor there except for the college bus only but it doesn't facilitate your schedule.
Faculty: More than half of the faculty isn't fluent in English and is quite short-tempered; they are so strict about attendance you can't focus on personal development and even look for internships. Only the final exams are difficult; only math; the rest is basic. Teaching quality is not even near to decent; the teachers are so pathetic and pitiful they hold onto personal grudges and take their anger out on student grades. Favoritism towards Karnataka people is like daily news. You will be denied basic things sometimes just because you aren't a native.
Other: Nothing like college life exists here, there is no festival celebrated here and the students aren't even allowed to stay out for an hour or two more even during the festivals that are even highly recognized in their native too, There are no dandiya nights here, no Ganesh Chaturthi, no Diwali and Dusshera, which is hugely celebrated in state, girls aren't allowed to attend that either. No concerts, no fest, no freshmen, nothing, just academics that too with the most pitiful teachers

Everything you need to know about The National Institute of Engineering Mysuru.
Placements: My batch is currently not placed, as we are in the second year. However, keeping the recession period aside, the placements at my college are pretty good. The average package for ISE is ₹13 LPA, whereas that for CSE is around ₹12.8 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Samsung, and Mercedes-Benz. Students secure internships at companies like Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments. The top roles offered are Software Developers and Data Analysts.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is pretty average, considering there is not much outside the North Campus where our classes are held. In contrast, the South Campus is in the city, making things more accessible. The hostel mess and the hostel infrastructure are again average for what you can expect from a hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but can be strict regarding attendance and the curriculum. The faculty tries to prepare us for the industry by doing their best. The internal assessments are generally at a medium level but can be mostly easy. On the other hand, the semester-end exams are above medium level.
Other: I chose this course because I was able to clear the cutoff and wanted to enter the software field due to my interest in it. I would like to see improvement in the teachers' leniency. The events hosted are mostly tech-related, and there is also an annual cultural fest organized, which is at an average level.
