B.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2023

4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Master of Science in Chemistry 2023 batch at St Teresa's College.
Placements: It's a newly initiated course in our college so absolutely we have lesser chances for placements. We were able to work in medical fields too. I won't get any placement opportunities, but they helped us to know how to approach companies. I'm passionate about working as a lecturer so I joined this college as a lecturer with recommendations for my lectures.
Infrastructure: There is attractive infrastructure with all the required amenities. Mostly laboratories pave a major path in our department. All the required apparatus and equipment were bought twice a year. In laboratories, all the safety measures were followed by teachers and students.
Faculty: Most of the courses were not initiated but now a massive number of courses are approved and studied by students. Now I'm doing my masters in the Department of Chemistry. We have a supportive HOD. They always work in the favour of students.

M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2021
4.2
5Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
ST. Teresa's College in Ernakulam.
Placements: Mostly all our alumni were working in various fields such as assistant professors, guest lecturers, and some other government postings. In spite of all this, placement training and placement drives were conducted once a week. Also, the highest salary pay offered by recruiters was 13.5 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Considering the needs of the students and the university norms, all the facilities were arranged in our college. Only a limited number of seats were available for every single department. The open auditorium and closed auditorium are located on the campus. The closed auditorium was capable of handling 1,000 students at a time.
Faculty: Students must obey the teachers' orders; otherwise, we were punished strictly. We weren’t allowed to involve ourselves in activities like protests or ragging, which would result in suspension. If we had different opinions, we would convey them to the teachers, and they would help us execute them.

B.Com. in Taxation - Batch of 2024
3.4
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Not really satisfied with the college .
Placements: Around 50-60% of the students got placed into top companies like EY, Deloitte, Sutherland, and a few others offering 3-4 LPA. The job roles were Tax or Assurance Analyst or mostly in BPO as Vice Process Associate. Placements are carried out with an online test followed by an interview. Internship is compulsory during the 2nd year of the course. Most of them got into CA firms. Doing 1-3 internships is good as it can build a better resume.
Infrastructure: We have 3 blocks: the Arts Block inside the campus and both the Central and Science Blocks at Convent Junction. The main campus is accompanied by the main hostel. The campus is provided with Wi-Fi, and the library is upstairs. There is a media lab and a computer lab. The food in the canteen and café is good. The hostel provides food which is just okay. Vegetarian food is only provided during lunch. For dinner, non-vegetarian food is mostly prepared, which is average. The current fee is expensive, around 1 lakh per year. Prayer is a must for Catholics every day in the hostel. Charging time is till 10 PM, and outings are only on weekends. An ATM machine is provided near the office. The office staff has no uniformity or responsibility in distributing the certificates.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and well-qualified, knowledgeable, unlike teachers in regular departments. But it's annoying that half of the teachers won't take classes on time. Regular department students are supposed to take classes. Attendance is strict, and 73% is needed. Semester exams are quite difficult, but it's fine as previous papers are provided. The pass percentage is 40, which breaks down into 20 from 2 internals, assignments, and attendance.
Other: The faculty is good and really helpful. They provide placement notices and assistance with the subjects. There are many events that happen in our college. Celebrities are always invited to the college for promotions. Auditions happen for every club. All these excite students to attend college. However, there is not much campus life as there is no place to sit, talk, or eat. It's always hot inside the campus.
