Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Review of TCET, Kandivali (E).
Placements: Our college has decent placements with average salary packages of about 8 LPA-9 LPA. Recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. Mostly 80% of students got placed in the year 2024. Mostly companies are hiring for the role of software design and data analyst. Around 85% of students got placed from our course.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, our college is on average level. It has well-defined libraries with varieties of books by famous authors. Our college has an auditorium, chemistry, physics, workshop, and manufacturing labs with good equipment. Classrooms are good and air-conditioned. The college has a canteen on the ground floor. In our college medical facilities are also available in case of emergency. The college also has indoor games. So overall, the Infrastructure of the college is fine.
Faculty: Faculty members of Thakur College is supportive and provides its own modules to study for exams. Our college is autonomous so exams are conducted by the college itself and it is quite easy. In the first year, we are not definitely ready for the company but in the second year, we start to work on projects and ideas, to be industry-ready.
Other: I chose the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science course because I have already decided to specialize in Tech branches it's in trend as well. The actual industrial knowledge should be included which is required in our jobs. Overall, the crowd is fine. College also facilitates the government scholarship scheme of EBC which includes the criteria of yearly income which should be less than 8 LPA.

Excellence in Education
Placements: The college gives an excellent opportunity for students, as many top companies visit the college and offer jobs to the students with good salary packages. Some of the visitors are JP Morgan, Bluestone, Accenture, etc. Most of the students are placed during the campus placement drives in the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There are many facilities the college provides, like a library, reading rooms for studying in free time, and laboratories with well-maintained equipment. The college also has a good environment and is strictly against ragging.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is excellent. The teachers and staff are very supportive. The faculty teaches in a very good manner and is also understandable. The curriculum provided by the college is authentic and amazing for the 4-year program. The exams are also conducted at regular intervals.

Satisfied by the campus and crowd.
Placements: Till now, the placement is good, but as the course is new, I am not aware of the package that will be offered in this course. As the course is related to the mechanical branch, students can also apply to this course, which is good for them. Top recruiting companies are not aware because the course is new. Almost all the students can get an internship, as it depends on how they approach the company for the interview.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good, and the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classroom and libraries are good. I am not the hostel person so I cannot say anything about the hostel facilities. The quality of the food is quite good in the canteen. The medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: The curriculum course is not relevant for the industry; students need to put in some extra effort for it so that they can be ready for the industry. The semester exams are not too much difficult but the students need to prepare for them. The pass percentage or passing CGPA, is 6.
Other: The crowd at the college is good and the campus life is also good.

The college infrastructure, teachers are good and supportive, and the placements are also decent.
Placements: 69% of students were placed out of the students who chose placement as an option. There are two more categories, i.e., higher studies and entrepreneurship. The highest package was ~19.5 lacs and the lowest was 3 lacs. Top recruiting companies are JP Morgan, VIC IT services, Capgemini, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is A-class. The classrooms are good, the library and reading room are good too, and the campus is always clean. The food in the canteen is good, and the canteen is big, but you may get space to sit only if you reach early. The drinking water is clean.
Faculty: The teachers are supportive and are good at teaching. The teachers are highly qualified, and their information is listed on the college website. The course includes extracurricular activities to make us industry-ready, and the exams are of medium to easy level to pass.

Reality of TCET is that it is the worst engineering college.
Placements: Training and placement cell at Thakur College charges Rs.3,700 to make students eligible for placement. The average salary package is 3 LPA. Companies like Capgemini, Accenture, Zycus, TCS, Oracle, and Zeus offer placements. The college does not provide internships.
Infrastructure: Our college has a reading room, library, and reference section from where we can access books, newspapers, and magazines. The entire college is air-conditioned. Hostel facility is available near the college, but it is costly. There is no mess facility, so students have to arrange food on their own. There are various clubs for sports and social and professional development.
Faculty: All the faculty members are M.Teach graduates and PhD holders, but they don't teach properly. The teaching is not good, and the course curriculum doesn't make us industry-ready. Semester exams are easy to tackle, but practical and oral exams require good preparation. If a student is unable to clear a regular exam, they can appear for a supplementary exam. If a student fails in supplementary exam, they have to appear for the ATKT exam. Exam preparation can be done through various YouTube channels.
Other: I chose this college because of my MHT CET score, I wouldn't recommend anyone to take an admission in this college.

Above Average college in Mumbai with good infrastructure and average placements.
Placements: On average, the placements range from 4 to 6 lacs per annum, with only a limited number of students, around 20 to 30, managing to secure packages above 10 lacs through their own dedication and efforts. While the placements in the teaching field are commendable, individuals who are not pursuing teaching should not consider this college.
Infrastructure: Despite the excellent infrastructure and reputation of this college in Mumbai, the hostel lacks food facilities and is quite expensive. As a result, students are required to go to the college mess for dinner. Additionally, the college is facing overcrowding issues due to the high number of students.
Faculty: All Engineering colleges in Mumbai suffer from a lack of qualified faculty. With the exception of one faculty member in each branch, the rest are merely there for show and lack proper knowledge of their subjects, especially those who come from an electronics background and are teaching data Science students.
Other: The extracurricular activities are pathetic, the festivals are okay, and the connectivity is good. Apply for the MAHADBT scholarship to receive a 50% tuition discount.
