A:

Both Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) and Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) seem like good colleges for B.Tech. The college is best for M.E. in Communication Systems.
Placements: All top MNCs come to our college first. The college has an excellent placement record. There is a concept called sharing where TCS, CTS, Accenture, and Infosys come in. This sharing is for bulk placement. Mostly, 95% of students get placed in good companies. TCE gives a bright future to students.
Infrastructure: All the departments have well-equipped infrastructure, laboratories, classrooms, seminar halls, staff rooms, etc. The college has a canteen and a mess. There are good parking facilities. There is a water purifier on every floor. There are high-speed internet facilities. There is a college bus facility for all girls. The department labs are well-equipped.
Faculty: The faculty members of the university are really good. I liked all of them. Their behaviour towards students is very kind. They always try to finish the syllabus as soon as possible. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is relatively high, around 85%, reflecting the supportive academic environment and effective teaching methods.

Review of Thiagarajar College of Engineering.
Placements: Honestly, about placements, our branch has very low placements, like 8 or 10 companies hiring 1-2 students each. Airtel, Reliance Jio, Vi, Information Communications are some of the top hiring companies. Among them, Reliance offers 6 LPA, Airtel offers 5.6 LPA, and Vi offers 5 LPA packages. BSNL gives 6-month internships for many students based on merit score with some stipend.
Infrastructure: The college is the most popular in Madurai; it does not need any introduction. Its infrastructure, classrooms, and campus are well-designed. Wi-Fi facilities are available at the library and hostel. Our labs have all machinery, so every day we perform 2 practicals. I do not live in the hostel, but many of my friends are hostellers. From them, I heard the college gives good food; it also provides eggs and fruits. We have 2 canteens; they are always crowded, but their food is very tasty.
Faculty: The course is good, but in the competitive world, we need to gain some soft skills like communication, Excel, and management skills. The college conducts many expert talks and webinars to improve our soft skills. Teachers are Ph.D. and above qualified; some teachers do not have core subject knowledge, but mostly teachers are very helpful and smart.
Other: I wish we had good placements, particularly for our branch.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Our college has good infrastructure, as they provide well-designed classrooms with smart boards. The campus offers a wide range of playgrounds. The placement rate for students in this course is 65%, with the lowest package offered at 3 Lacs per year, the highest at 8 Lacs per year, and an average of 5 Lacs per year. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Dell, HP, Infosys, and Accenture visit here. Many students secure internships at Google and Microsoft; the percentage of students who obtain internships is 75%. The top role offered is hardware designer.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure and facilities, providing a well-equipped campus cafeteria. The classrooms are clean and equipped with smart boards, and the seminar hall is spacious. Even the quadrangle, where functions take place, is well-maintained. The hostel provides good facilities; the food is hygienic, and there is a canteen for daily travelers. Medical facilities are available when needed. They organize intra and inter-college games and sports to encourage sports participation.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects; they are also very professional and helpful in clarifying our doubts. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is relevant to industry needs, making students industry-ready. Exams are manageable; even studying a day before can suffice to pass. However, for higher marks and better percentages, studying from the beginning or a month prior is advisable. About 80% of students pass exams.
