I am satisfied with the college, decent placements. It is memories for life.

Placements: In our stream, around 40% batch got placed out of 120 odd peeps. The highest package offered for our branch was 6 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 3.2 LPA by Infy. Top recruiting companies were Infy, Deloitte, ZS, Mu Sigma etc. The roles offered were usually of a business analyst. There was no internship of sorts being mandatory, but the end of six months 10% of the batch had internships.

The college is good but students need to do extra to become industry ready.

Placements: In our batch of EEE 2017, around 50% of students GOT campus placements. The highest package was 12 LPA and average package was 3.5 LPA. The top recruiters in UIET are Deloitte, Mu sigma and Infosys. The companies offered consultancy and Business Development roles. Almost all the students GOT the full time 6 month internship in the final year and those who opted out worked on the College Projects and in addition attended the semester as well. The companies for internship were Eron Energy Pvt Limi...

Placements are okay, and college life is fine here.

Placements: Campus placements were incredibly average here where everyone gets placed, but ironically it's neither very good nor very bad. There is a hub of mass recruiters where a plethora of organisations like TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. The average salary package offered was around 3.3 LPA, and I got placed in Infosys around with the same salary package.

Review of UIET - University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.

Placements: Companies like Deloitte, MuSigma, EY, Zomato, Unisys visit the campus for placements. The lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA, and the highest salary offered was 9 LPA. Approximately 50% of the students go for internships in the 4th Year. Internship and pre-placement offers help students get an offer before their graduation.

The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Companies like Zscaler, ZS, Infosys and many diverse companies visited the campus for placements. Roles offered to students are consultants, developers, and support executive.

I am satisfied with the faculty, but placements were not that great.

Placements: In mechanical engineering, the placements were not good compared to other branches. Around 20% of students got placed in mechanical engineering, and among them, around 3-4 companies visited our campus, which offered the role of core mechanical. Majority of non-core roles were offered to students.

A college with good facilities and average placements.

Placements: Placements were giving an average package of 3 lacs per annum. Don't expect getting a job in core companies (especially in Biotechnology, where no core company comes in the college). However, students can expects some mass recruiter companies that can surely land you a job.

A good college under Panjab University in Chandigarh.

Placements: Placements of our batch were decent. Most of the students were focused on higher studies. The highest salary package offered was of 5.5 LPA while the lowest salary package offered was of 3.2 LPA. Only two companies Signicent and Root Analysis were visited for Biotech. They offered a salary package of 3.4 LPA. Other companies like Infosys, Wipro are prominent and mass recruiters who provide a decent package with good industry exposure. The internship is provided by the company for the students wh...

Review of University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.

Placements: Placements at UIET were above average as compared to other colleges of Punjab University. Most of the students got placed with an average salary package of 4-4.5 LPA. There was a dedicated placement cell which made sure that placements increase every year. Some companies that visited our campus are Deloitte, Samsung Engineering, ZS Associates, etc.

Placements: Placements were good for the students of biotechnology branch. However, there are very less core biotechnology companies that visited the college for placements. In our batch, around 80% of the interested students got placed.

A review of University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab University.

Placements: Placements in the last year were one of the best till now. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4-5 LPA. The percentage of placements was also better than last year. The placement cell is working really hard to provide placements to students. As far as I have heard, internships are available in the college, but they are not offered with high stipends.

This college is good, but I am not satisfied.

Placements: Placements were good only for the students of CSE, IT and ECE branches. Every year, around 90% of the students get placed from these branches. Infosys is the mass recruiter of our college. The average salary package offered was 3.20 LPA to 4 LPA. The only drawback is that the college does not focus on improving communication skills, aptitude skills and technical skills of students.

Placements: The placement percentage of our senior batches are quite good. The average salary package offered was about 5 LPA. The college has a training and placement cell to handle all the placement related activities. They are working quite efficiently. This year, the highest salary package offered was 20 LPA.

A huge difference is seen in placements every year, and the faculty have been good so far.

Placements: As per my knowledge, placements in UIET are based on the criteria that the students should have an overall CGPA of around 7 without any backlogs. If there is any, students should clear the exams before the 7th semester (as companies start visiting the college before the 7th-semester exams). Companies like Infosys, Deloitte, ZS Associates, Ascentx, Z Scalar, Clicklabs and many others visited the college to offer placements, this year. The highest package offered till now is 8 LPA. Our college is okay but not good. But, our college must be good.

Placements: Placement scenario in our college is not good but okay. The average salary offered was in between 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA. Our college should provide some technical stuff in the course so that students get to know about what is going on the industrial level. Moreover, our college may invite new companies so that the number of placements gets increased. This year, companies like Infosys and Optum visited our college to hire students.

A lot of companies like Deloitte, Jugnoo, Infosys, KPMG, ZS, Adobe, Optum, etc., visited our college to hire students. A great college for Localites.

Placements: There are low chances for good on campus placements though a few good mass recruiters come. Big companies don't join the placement drive in the college. But out side the campus, name of University works. Placement cell is okay but not very good. Average package is around 4-5 lacs yearly.

Students in the college have quality but lack the platform to expose themselves.

Placements: Students from CSE and IT branches have a great scope to get placed in both technical as well as consultancy MNCs. However, only few core companies visit the campus for EEE and ECE, and same goes with biotechnology and mechanical branches. Companies that majorly visit are Infosys, Deloitte, KPMG, ZS and Optum. HMEL (for electrical students) visited the campus for the first time in 2018.
