We had the best college life, experienced teachers and a good platform to show our talents.

Placements: Placement and job opportunities are too good at our college. Recently our course students got placed in Infosys, which is a good company. EEE and ECE students got placed in other companies with a salary package of 9-11 LPA, and many companies visited our college, including Infosys, Jugnoo and many more. Training is provided for every 1st and 2nd-year students.

Satisfied with the college, considering the support and opportunities that we get here.

Placements: The placement scenario is quite good here, especially for CSE and IT branch almost all the eligible candidates get placed into reputed companies with a good salary package. The average package for CSE and information technology is around 5-6 lacs per annum. The placement for other branches like mechanical is not that much good.

UIET-the best environment and awesome campus.

Placements: The average package offered was 3.2 LPA. In CSE 100% placements (but the highest package is by ECE) Job - Tester (most probably). Opt for higher studies if you want to be a developer. Mass recruiter Infosys, but recently they took 70-80 only whereas previous year about 125+ can't say it is a mass recruiter anymore.

Overall, it is an awesome college. There is no pressure of studies as such.

Placements: The placement is improving every year. As a part of placement cell, I am close enough to know about it, and a girl from IT branch offered a package of approximately 20 LPA by Adobe. No. of companies is showing interest towards this college. Even the graph of placement of other branches is also improving.

Want better placements For our college so that more and more students can get on campus placement.

Placements: Our seniors batch placement was better than that of their seniors, especially in EEE branch. Not many core companies of EEE visit our campus. So we hope this time more and more companies visit so that more and more students can be placed at a good package.

My review of UIET after spending 4 years.

Placements: The placement scenario has significantly improved, but there is still a lack of core companies for electronics and mechanical. IT and CSE placement were a boom, and I was lucky to be placed in one of the IT company. The average package is around 3.5 LPA, and the highest is 22 LPA.

Good college with many opportunities and campus life in Chandigarh.

Placements: The placements in the college are good as most of the students get placed. If you are in CSE or IT, then you don't have to worry about the placements. There are some good companies like Adobe, HP, Jugnoo, Deloitte, ZS associates, Optum, KPMG, Mu Sigma, SAP Labs, Practo and mass recruiter like Infosys, Aricent and many more. The training and placement cell is very active and works for good placements. In the year 2017, Adobe offered 20.2 LPA to a student. The average package of CSE and IT is almo...

A good engineering college with good infrastructure and backed by an excellent administration.

Placements: This year, the placement records have shown a decent and commendable rise in terms of the average package offered to students as well as the number of students placed in various companies. The average package offered so far lies close to 4-4.5 LPA, with around 20% placements from the department of mechanical engineering and around 55% of the entire batch. A large number of renowned companies (Mahindra and Mahindra, SML Isuzu, Honeywell, etc. For the mechanical engineering, the companies came wer...

Our College is good for the students who want to explore their knowledge.

Placements: The placements were good. About 75% of students got placed this year. Many of them were placed in Infosys, Wipro etc. There are so many companies that come to our campus to recruit the students. They have criteria like total CGPA and so on. Thus, the students get placed according to their merit.

A great college campus life.

Placements: The placements are really good for CSE and IT departments who sit for placements, manage to bag a campus job. For other departments, i.e., ECE (Electronics and Communication), mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering (EEE), and Biotechnology, very few core companies come for placements though maximum companies come with consultancy profile.

Satisfactory according to the fee structure and facilities provided.

Placements: The placements in our college are consistent throughout the time of 7th sem. Some of the jobs offered included only training, and some had training as well as job, and some was offering only the job. Mostly, CSE and ECE students are placed in the companies like Deloitte, ZS Associates, KPMG, Adobe, Soft Prodigy, Arjent, GreyB, etc. The core companies for CSE are various that includes the post of software developer mostly. The core companies for ECE were GreyB, HMEL. Almost 50% of the students go...

Satisfied by its curriculum.

Placements: The placements here are only for the computer science and IT students. This year, only 4 students from the biotechnology were placed. The average package offered was Rs. 3 lakhs per annum. We have no efforts from the college faculty for encouraging students, or to bring some new companies for the placements. Most of the students are picked for Rs. 2.5 Lakhs to Rs. 3.5 Lakhs per annum, and also 1 to 2 students are selected for Rs. 10 Lakhs or above. The placements here are not that good in this ...

The best and the worst part about this college is that it is a government college.

Placements: Placements at UIET, under PU for the CSE and IT streams, are really well. Almost, 85 to 90% of the students from CSE and IT got placed every year. If you are an average student, then you can expect a package of Rs. 3 to 5 lakhs per annum, but if you are above average, and a good student you can expect it to be around Rs. 8 to 12 lakhs per annum. Well for ECE streams, the placements are average, and for other streams like EEE and others, the placement scenario is poor. ...

Good infrastructure, placements, low expenditure. A good, reputed government college of its kind.

Placements: The placements are good for most of the branches including IT, CSE, ECE but for rest of the branches, it is not so well. In IT and CSE, the percentage placement is above 90%. The highest package usually goes near 12 LPA and the lowest being 3.2 LPA. But in the year 2017, Adobe came, and one girl of CSE bagged a package of 22 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA for IT companies visits like Deloitte, Adobe, Z associates, Tech Mahindra, Z scalar, Jugnoo, Click Labs, Sufi and many other. The roles o...

UIET has always been good at creating intelligent minds to succeed in life.

Placements: The placements had been very good in college since past years. Good package has been provided to students every time starting from 3.5 lacs up to 12 lacs per annum. About 90% of students were placed last year during campus drive. The college has a placement cell to help and guide students at every step for placement drives. Many companies are invited each time to provide placements.

The college has low placements which should be improved and give good opportunities for students.

Placements: The placements are negligible in mechanical branch. Most of the mechanical students have to sit in the placement cell with the IT and computer science students. The placement in the mechanical branch is pathetic no core companies for mechanical have visited the college, and maximum 5-6 students from the branch make it through the campus placements. The placement cell needs a lot to improve, and the old alumni base is not very active. Overall, in placement point of view, the college still needs t...

Placements: I was not in the placement cell, so I don't know the actual figures. I did get an internship at DRDO & the faculty was very supportive. From EEE branch, 20 students did an internship out of 110 total. The criteria for internship were very high, and the university authority blacklisted some companies. From my branch electrical and electronics (EEE), 12 students got placed in various companies like Deloitte, SAP, Infosys, Aricent, Nestle, Havells. Placements: The placements for CSE, IT and ECE are quite good. Most of the companies offer you an average package of Rs. 5.5 lakhs per annum whereas for the companies such as Deloitte and ZS, the offer can go up to Rs. 6.5 lakhs per annum. The highest package that a student has gotten in the last year was Rs. 20 lakhs, and he was of the CSE batch. Placements: Most of the students get placed in mass recruiting companies like Infosys and Wipro (about 3.5 lakhs average). Several other local companies also provide placements. There is an option of open placement also. If you are in CSE branch, you are likely to get placed in companies with a good salary.

Placements: Placements from this college are quite decent. Many above average colleges visit the college and also pick a considerable number of students. Companies like Deloitte, Zeiss Associates, Mu-Sigma, Evive Healthcare provide placements for different job profiles and offer a decent package of 6.5-11.5 LPA. Many mass recruiter companies like Infosys, Accenture, TCS also visit the campus and many students are placed in these companies. They offer a package somewhere between 3.5-4.5 LPA.
