Placements are average. The faculty is below average and the infrastructure is 7/10.

Placements: Placements were good. Mostly, students were recruited by the mass recruiters. However, companies like Evive Healthcare also visited the campus and offered a salary package worth 12.5 lacs in our branch. Infosys recruited a good number of students and in IT branch the recruitment percentage was almost 100%, leaving behind only 3-4 students unplaced. Major companies like Deloitte and ZS also visit the campus. The average salary offered is around 4-5 lacs.

UIET is a college of Panjab University. One of the best colleges in Chandigarh.

Placements: Average for biotech, EEE & mech. Good for CS, IT & ECE. About 4-6 lac average package. TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, etc. recruit the students. Internship based placements in many companies happen too. For mechanical, only a few companies come. Currently, Honda is there. Lowest salary: 1-2 lac. In CSE, IT and ECE, 90% on-campus placement.

Appropriate study curriculum, great environment and faculty, good hostel facilities.

Placements: Placements for electrical branch are highly competitive. Core companies offer the highest packages for electrical up to 16 lakhs per year. But there are not many core companies so the students have to be at their best if they desire to be placed in core companies. There are other companies like Infosys, which are mass recruiters and offer jobs to a whole lot but then compromising on the paycheck. These companies offer jobs up to 7 lakhs per month.

UIET and whether it is the right choice or not.

Placements: 80% of our seniors were placed and major recruiters were Mu Sigma, Delloite, ZS and Infosys. Mass recruitment was done by Infosys, although Wipro is also a mass recruiter that visits our college. The average package is 3.6 lacs per annum. In the case of our seniors, Capgemini and EXL also visited but in our batch, it didn't happen. If an aspirant is not placed, it is highly likely that he would get an internship in some companies like Playbuff, Quark, Sagacious etc. Pool campus placements take ...

Nice college for all the young aspiring engineers.

Placements: The placement scenario is different for all the branches. Average annual package is around Rs. 4-5 lacs, while the highest may reach up to Rs. 12 lacs. But unfortunately not every student gets placed from the campus and the rate of placement is even less than 50%.

Satisfied with the college, regarding the course and the placement.

Placements: The placements of my batch were satisfactorily organised and almost 90% of the students got themselves placed in huge firms like ZS, Deloitte, Zycus, Infosys, MuSigma, etc, with an average salary of 4 LPA and job profiles as a software developer, consultant, analyst, advisory etc.

Good placements, great faculty, beautiful surroundings.

Placements: An average of 3.5 - 4 lacs per annum package was offered. Whereas higher packages were availed by students who had greater skills and better hand at programming. Out of campus placements let our students get a higher package. They are offered jobs where their skills and knowledge were wisely used.

Good infrastructure. Not really a satisfactory placement. Not a good faculty

Placements: Placement chances are very less. The companies which accept pay very less. I have seen my seniors and have talked to seniors about it. If you got placed on campus, you are paid very less, near about 10-15,000 per month. The companies visiting here are mainly for CSE or ECE and some for mechanical. The companies visiting here are mainly Wipro and TCS. Last year, I also saw that Nestle visited for mechanical. I don't think any good internships are provided by the college. On a average, it is worth coming here if you are an average student.

Placements: The placement of my senior batch was good as 70% of the students got placed. 50% of them got placed in consultancies, 20% got placed in the core mechanical companies and the rest of them did not sit for the placement as they have to pursue their higher studies. The lowest salary offered was 3.5 lacs and the highest were 9 lacs. A few students also got the off-campus placement with a package of 21 lacs. The core companies that came were- Maruti, Mahindra and Mahindra, L&T, SML Isuzu and Tata Mot...

Although UIET has its drawbacks, university life is amazing!

Placements: The placements at UIET have not been at par with the reputation. Although various companies visit here for placements (mostly IT firms) but usually their package is not that great. Average package is around 3 lakh. Students of UIET have been performing great in the GATE through the years, and students have also bagged PSU jobs. The maximum package is somewhere near 12 lakh.

Improvement required for Biotechnology, ECE, EEE and Mech.

Placements: The placements depend on the course chosen. Students of CSE and IT get plenty of opportunities. However the ECE, EEE, Mechanical and especially Biotechnology students have to struggle as not a lot of core companies for these branches visit the campus. If your aim to get placed in an IT MNC like Infosys then this is the place to be at, as Infosys mass recruits students from all the branches. However, if you are aiming for companies like Facebook or Google or any non-IT company, then you need to l...

Potential to be a frontrunner in Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The placements at UIET have not been on par with the other good colleges. The highest package offered is around 8-9 lacs PA. The lowest package is around 2.5 lacs. On an average, the package is something around 3.7 lacs. Two of the 'Big Fours' companies, KPMG and Deloitte, have been visiting the campus. A lot of IT firms and consultancy companies visit the college for placements as well. The core companies like Isuzu, L&T etc are some that offer jobs in the core sector. In IT and CSE streams, th...

Taking admission in this college (University Institute of Engineering and Technology) was a good decision, however, the placements for Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering streams were not so good. It would be better if you opt for IT or Computer Science stream (from placements point of view). Moreover, the location is very good, the college has a great campus life and it is in an excellent city.

The college is affiliated to Panjab University. Tuition fees is genuine and the labs are good. It lacks somewhere in the infrastructure. Faculty is just average. The college is worth the money. The college also provides hostel facility. Placements for IT, CSE and ECE are better than other branches. The college provides all the facilities required by the students.

It is one of the best colleges in the Madhya Pradesh. There is a very good faculty and also the infrastructure of the college is good. The classrooms are very big and laboratories of all subjects are also there with suitable equipment. There is a good bonding between the college campus cell and the industries, which helps in placements.

The greatest advantage I believe that you can have by studying in UIET is the sheer amount of time that you can get for anything and everything you want to pursue. Panjab University campus offers a plethora of opportunities to explore oneself and you can engage in a lot of extracurricular if you are interested. Academically speaking, I found the faculty members are not up to the mark and they are not very experienced, but then again if you truly are interested in a subject, the faculty members a...

The Faculty Members of my College in EEE course are average, as subjects like Machines-1 was not taught with full in-depth knowledge, but Power systems and Machine-2 were taught perfectly. Students are exposed to all kinds of activities and have sufficient time to take part in competitions. The Placements of our college were dearer for CS and IT students, but core companies are not visiting our college. It's an overall average College but with time its quality of education is improving.

It has two academic blocks which include labs, office, library, and lecture halls.
