I am satisfied with the college, decent placements. It is memories for life.

Placements: In our stream, around 40% batch got placed out of 120 odd peeps. The highest package offered for our branch was 6 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 3.2 LPA by Infy. Top recruiting companies were Infy, Deloitte, ZS, Mu Sigma etc. The roles offered were usually of a business analyst. There was no internship of sorts being mandatory, but the end of six months 10% of the batch had internships.

The college is good but students need to do extra to become industry ready.

Placements: In our batch of EEE 2017, around 50% of students GOT campus placements. The highest package was 12 LPA and average package was 3.5 LPA. The top recruiters in UIET are Deloitte, Mu sigma and Infosys. The companies offered consultancy and Business Development roles. Almost all the students GOT the full time 6 month internship in the final year and those who opted out worked on the College Projects and in addition attended the semester as well. It is a very good college in a very pleasant city.

Placements: Placement officer isn't very open about the number of placements but what I have heard from my friends was that they could get placed with a decent package of about 4-5 LPA. Major companies like Mu Sigma, TCS, Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, etc., visited the campus. Students are shortlisted with aptitude tests, and subsequently, they move ahead with their group discussion rounds before final interviews take place.

Placements are okay, and college life is fine here.

Placements: Campus placements were incredibly average here where everyone gets placed, but ironically it's neither very good nor very bad. There is a hub of mass recruiters where a plethora of organisations like TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. The average salary package offered was around 3.3 LPA, and I got placed in Infosys around with the same salary package.

Placements: Companies like Deloitte, MuSigma, EY, Zomato, Unisys visit the campus for placements. The lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA, and the highest salary offered was 9 LPA. Approximately 50% of the students go for internships in the 4th Year. Internship and pre-placement offers help students get an offer before their graduation.

Life at Panjab University is very good, and the experience is average.

Placements: Placements are okay. If you have reasonably good communication skills, then you will be placed but don't keep your hopes too high. Most of the candidates are placed in a mass recruiter company like Infosys. Except for CSE and IT, placements in core companies are almost nil.

Students have to approach the faculty to learn.

Placements: Placement cell's efficiency of bringing good and renowned companies increased year by year. At first, IT companies were prominent, but in coming years core companies of other branches have also attracted the college. Placement cell makes sure that students can also attend the drives in other colleges where some good companies visit.

I am satisfied with the faculty placement and the environment offered by the college.

Placements: Placements in our college are very good. The average salary package offered was around 6 LPA. Almost all the students got placed in various companies like ZS Associates, Deloitte, Infosys, etc. Some companies also provide summer training for 6 months and then offer PPO to students according to their performance in training.

I am satisfied with the faculty, but placements were not that great.

Placements: In mechanical engineering, the placements were not good compared to other branches. Around 20% of students got placed in mechanical engineering, and among them, around 3-4 companies visited our campus, which offered the role of core mechanical. Majority of non-core roles were offered to students.

A place where you can reshape your future.

Placements: Placements were above average. Most students got placed, and some got really good packages, but placement cell lacks somewhere in uplifting students with low grades. It has that capability to perform better than this. MBA graduates also performed quite good.

A college with good facilities and average placements.

Placements: Placements were giving an average package of 3 lacs per annum. Don't expect getting a job in core companies (especially in Biotechnology, where no core company comes in the college). However, students can expects some mass recruiter companies that can surely land you a job.

Placements: Placements of our batch were decent. Most of the students were focused on higher studies. It is an average college.

Placements: Placements in our college are not much good. There are 80-90% placements for CSE and IT students. For the rest of the streams, the placements are not much good. The average package offered now is approximately 3-4 LPA, and the highest goes to 18 LPA based on your skills. Adobe, Deloitte, Infosys and Wipro are some of the companies that visit the campus. Placements are getting better year by year.

Decent college to opt for.

Placements: Placements are good enough if you are looking for IT sector jobs, like the best package was around 14 lac so overall it is a good college. But in core branches, rather core companies, very few placements say 5-10 in a class of 80 with package of 4.5-6.5 lac. Obviously u can sit in non-core in need of a job.
