B.E. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2020
3.2

The infrastructure of the college is not good, but we can have a good time at this college.
Placements: We are from the civil engineering branch, but many companies related to our core branch did not visit here. But some of our batchmates got placed in some companies like Byju's and other construction companies. Byju's offered a salary package that ranges from 7.5-10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide a Wi-Fi facility. The library has some good places for reading and discussion, but the resources are limited. There is an own mess in the college. The cafeteria and the food served is good, but not great. Some labs are well-equipped, and some labs lack equipment. Classrooms are average, but not so much good. Sports and other activities are not much active here. Medical facilities are available here.
Faculty: The civil engineering faculty members are good. Except for 2 to 3 teachers, all other faculty members are good and experienced. I prefer the civil engineering department is better in this college. I am the civil engineering course, and it is an enjoyable course. Teachers handling this course are good, and they have much experience in teaching. Except for 2 to 3 teachers, all the faculty members are very good.
Other: There is only one college fest in a year which makes me bored. But you can enjoy the college ride due to its location in Haliyal. I had a great experience in 4 years. We can go and compete in other colleges at times of fest, and many colleges even come to this college for competition. Our college organises some technical seminars and some technical talks for the welfare of the students.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2015

The college was still developing in all departments like infrastructure, faculty and placements.
Placements: From our batch of 2015, almost 80 to 100 students were placed including all branches. In that, many students were got selected through pool campus selections. When compared to the students of our senior batches, there was an improvement in the number of students who got placed from our batch. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, etc.. have visited our college for placement drives. Students of our batch got selected in those companies. An institution named RiiiT from Mysore visited our campus where you will be trained with computer course for which you need to pay, and then they assure you with placement opportunity as they are tied up with some companies. A placements cell is available in the college. Overall, the placements improving year by year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was not great, but considering that our college started in 2004, I can say that the infrastructure was good and was developing. The college has separate labs for mechanical, civil, electrical, E&C, and computer science departments. Regarding the quality of lab equipment, in mechanical department labs, many instruments don't work properly and don't get the correct readings. A huge sports ground was available, and a sports room for indoor games was also available. Separate hostels for boys and girls were available with warden keeping an eye for 24 hours. Quality of food served in the mess and canteen was good.
Faculty: Lecturers of all the branches were well-qualified including some junior lecturers. Teaching quality of senior lecturers was good whereas junior lecturers' teaching was not that good. We didn't get any industry exposure although a big sugar company was located behind our college. Overall, it's manageable at the college.
Other: All the departments will conduct their fest, and a fest from the college side is also conducted every year. Surroundings of the college were great as lush green agriculture fields cover it. It's even more excellent when it's the rainy season.

It is a decent engineering college for studying engineering courses.
Placements: Last year, almost 50% of the students were placed. The companies like Infosys, Seventh Sense, TCS, Amazon, Phoenix, Marine Services, and Cognizant visited our campus for placements. The average salary package was around 5-7 LPA. Overall, the placements were good on the campus.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. There is a server room with Cyberoam firewall to protect from external threats of the internet. The college also provides hostel with all the facilities like canteen, washrooms, etc., are good. The students must share their rooms. Food provided in the hostel was 70% good.
Faculty: The college is known for good teaching. The faculty members are well-qualified and have good experience about the subject. They provide notes for the students, and they also give assignments to the students so that we can study thoroughly. All the teachers take care of every student so that they can pass easily in their subjects.
Other: The college is placed in the rural area. For rural people, this college is good, and they can do their engineering in this college. Many companies also used to visit this college for placements. A lot of scholarships are provided for the students. There is good hostel management for the students, and it is a great college.

I love to visit college, because of Lecturers and faculty who taught were too supportive.
Placements: Placements during my period were very few. We attended many off campus interviews. College provided pre placement and softskill internship programme and industrial programs need some improvement. As the college comes under VTU Belagavi, many strict rules for placements, No core companies visited during our period. In our super senior many were placed in very good companies as compared to us. They only took us to another college for placements, and we attended for it. The company was Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure as compared to other colleges was not that satisfactory. Classroom and library needs some upgradation and improvements. No Wi-Fi was there during our period. Electrical labs were good with all new equipments. In college for there was lot of scope for sports. Physical education lecturer was too good. From our batch many were VTU blues. College provided free Gym Khan facilities. Mess food was average taste.
Faculty: Electrical and electronics department faculty was too good, helped us to learn so many new innovative works in electrical field. Overall staff was well qualified and supportive. They used PPTs, practical things were explained by lecturers. But we didn't get any industry exposure from department during our period.
Other: Every year Aavishakar techno-cultural fest was other, It was nice with many events organised different branches.

A good but not an excellent college. Overall, our batch can be rated 3 out of 5.
Placements: It has got really poor placement activity. Whatever few (5-6) companies that come here will be from either IT or BPO. For the core electrical, the placements here is zero percent. The preparation for the placement from the college side is also very less, and the placement team does it for the namesake.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, it can be rated 3 out of 5. The canteen and mess facilities are not that good, but manageable. The hostel rooms here can also be rated 3 out of 5. Some lab facilities are weak, especially in the mechanical engineering. Internet and Wi-Fi facilities are not very good. The library here has got a huge reading space with very few books.
Faculty: For the department of electrical and electronics, the teaching of the faculty is good. The faculty here cover the syllabus but don't provide more industrial knowledge. Also, the syllabus here is covered well in advance, and it is the only branch in VDRIT which is known to be very strict. Overall, teaching can be rated 3.5 out of 5.
Other: My suggestion will be to join this college. I developed myself very well in this college on my own. You also get many opportunities as this college is very small, but, if you want to join this college, please make sure that your placement responsibility is completely yours. Don't fall into a trap by seeing fake placement banner displayed outside the campus.

Absolutely satisfied with my college. Thanks to our faculty members.
Placements: The placement regarding mechanical engineering is very less compared to other branches. Good soft skills programs are held in our college. The highest salary offered was 4 LPA. One of our EC branch member and 2 people from mechanical engineering got in merchant Navy field where they were trained with paid salary.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good compared to other colleges. There was a Wi-Fi problem, they used to take fees regarding Wi-Fi, but we can't use it. Other facilities like hostels and rooms were good, and we had a ground to play cricket, and we had bus facilities but with a high cost. So, we could afford government buses.
Faculty: The faculty of my mechanical branch were very good people. They were understanding students' problems and solved any problem. They were very friendly with students. They used to motivate students and used to take a regular class, workshop, assignment. The methods of teaching are like PPT, practical knowledge, etc.
Other: The events like Sankalp were awesome. They were held for four days and we used to enjoy a lot in those events. Students used to participate in cultural events and we used to win a lot of prizes.
