Average college life expected.

Placements: Due to the recession, placements in our college are less compared to previous years. Most students end up getting jobs in call centers and other startup companies. Only a few could secure placements at good companies. From my understanding, computer science students got the most placements.

VAST is vast in everything.

Placements: I am still undergoing this course. I have yet to get the placements. When I first joined the college, the principal told me that placement opportunities were higher here compared to other colleges. Around 300 to 400 companies would come for interviews per year.

Good faculty members, a happy atmosphere, and good lab facilities.

Placements: About 40% of students are placed in my branch for the 2019–2023 batch. The placement desk is available for us now. Federal Bank, TCS, and Infosys are the top companies that recruit us. There are many other companies that recruit students with a good salary scale. The college faculties are really helpful for all our needs. I'm really happy to say that I'm a student at Vidya College.

Great faculty members and good infrastructure but lack of college programs and events.

Placements: I think they offer a decent placements but there are no high level companies visiting. There are so many startup companies who offer an annual salary of 10000 or below. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, etc. Internships are not arranged by the college. You must find and do it on your own. I don't know about the top roles there.

Abnormal placement offers at VAST.

Placements: In mechanical engineering there is less placement because companies are looking for programming developers and they need coders. But mechanical branch has a chance to get into placements. Infosys, TCS ( Tata consultancy services) etc. For mechanical engineering there is less placement compared to other companies.

I am satisfied with all things but they have a very high fee structure and it is not utilised.

Placements: About 75% of students got their placements this year. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the salary offered starts from Rs.20000 per month. TCS, Google, Microsoft, Wipro, etc., are the recruiting companies. Students in 2nd year and third year get internships in many small companies both online and offline. They make us ready for the future.

Good campus life but they should include more industry time.

Placements: Minimum placements were allocated to our branch and not in our core department. Our batch of students was going for higher studies and abroad so the placement percentage was low and also the students with arrears were not allowed in placements. But the recruiting was mainly for IT openings in TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Sutherland. The mechanical students were selected for those also with ECE & CSE students. Our batch got an internship in several companies like Cochin shipyard, KSRTC Maintenance Sh...

The top recruiting company was TCS and around 30% of students got placed. There were no placements offered for our course. Almost 100% of students got internships at various companies.
